My girlfriend has the Droid X and believes that there is some application out there to make the screen a mirror and use the (apparently existent) front camera. Is this true? If so, any advice on how to make it happen? Thanks?
Incorrect.
No front camera.
Best mirror = Screen off.

Hello,
The Front Facing Camera uses up barely half the Screen, on the Vibrant 4G and other galaxy S devices, it takes up most of the screen, is it possible if we could mod this to look larger like on the Vibrant?
Thanks
I like to take pictures of menus when I go to restaurants because I am very indecisive and don't want to get in anyone's way. I find my Note 2 to be sorely lacking in capturing letters on a wall though. The attached pic is a crop of the best pic out of half a dozen. If you try hard enough you could make out most of the words...barely. It came from a portrait pic since the landscape ones are just blurry messes and holding it upright with one hand is way more secure. The place was very well lit and bright too.
Do you think the 13MP camera on the S4 will do any better than this?
A million samples here:

Yes, it is a major step-up, whether it's good enough for you it up to your judgement. The Lumia 920 is still better in low-light.
So I have a case of OCD. I want to leave my camer on the 13 MP setting but It only displays at the 4:3 setting where the 9.6MP is full screen. Has anyone found a way to make the 13 mp setting stretch the full size of the screen or is that just not even possible? Thanks Guys!
The 16:9 picture fits your screen perfectly because it's basically a 13MP shot with the top and bottom chopped off - you're still getting the same resolution, just less picture. So no, you can't "stretch" the 13MP photo, you'd essentially be doing the same thing and chopping off pieces of the picture. Hope this helps.
That would make sense. Works for me! My eyes will just have to get used to it. Thank you!
This video shows just how bad the camera bug on the 1st gen Moto X is.
These lines start appearing, on both front and back sensors, during incandescent lighting.
Hope this gets fixed soon in Lollipop.
I've never noticed any pulses in lighting from my phone camera, but it is noticeable on any other digital camera I have ever used on TVs and fluorescent lighting.
Not here!

Nothing happens on my Moto X! I use it to record screens all the time too! May be its just physical phenomenon?
Not really a bug. You can see similar lines like that in fluorescent lights without a camera (naked eye).
It would be a bug if it did this for all lights, not just when you hold the camera a few inches away.

Agreed. This video is inaccurate. Thanks a lot!
But, I've noticed these lines way more in my Moto X than my dad's moto g, or iphone 4
Happens to me too! not just when I'm close to the light but when I point ANYWHERE in the room with that lighting :|
Hello guys.
My parents gifted me a brand new Moto G5 Plus (2GB RAM/Dual sim) bought from Chile.
My only two android phones had software issues (I got them for free so no complaints) so therebefore I never care so much about them. Both were small and resistants (S3 Mini and Moto G LTE - xt1040).
The S3 Mini ended with the camera blurred because got stripped with the use. My Moto G works like a charm, many strips on the screen but nothing important, the phone fallen a lot times but never broke .
Now this is a new level for me, giant screen. It scares me, any care you recommend me? I don't want to use with screen protectors or anything, I really hate them.
Also, I read that the screen has gorilla glass, whats about the back camera? Flash and the whole circle has any protection or should I take so much care?
Anyway the phone is amazing but I really want lineage os, I hope we get it soon!.
EDIT:
Which launcher comes with the phone? I saw on internet that has pixel launcher but its a lot different to the pixel launcher that comes with google pixel phone (I have the same on my Moto G and it isn't transparent when you search all apps)
EDIT2:
Is there anything to change about camera settings? My photos doesn't look good, colors are darkness and the definition looks very bad, even doing focus. I didn't tried outside so maybe is the light inside my home.
The only thing I changed is the aspect ratio. I am using 4:3 because of 12 MP, not sure if I should use it or change again to 16:9 (9.1MP).
I attached a photo.
