(Guide) How to use ZipThemer - Droid Incredible General

Here is a mini guide on how to use Zipthemer from the market. It is free and it is a lot easier than MetaMorph. Less likely to boot loop too.
First install Zipthemer from the market or click the link above.
On to using it.
1. First you need to make sure its set up for the HTC incredible. Press menu softkey and settings.

}
2. Press the "Update Script Format" and find Edify - Incredible
3. Now you are ready to build the zip.
4. Press the +Theme button.
5. Navagate to where your MM zip is held.
6. For this guide im using my "Theme Finisher".
7. Now its time to build so click your zip and the program will start to build it.
8. If it was built correctly you will see a log of what the app did.
9. Now use a file explorer program like root explorer and make sure you know where the zip is. (default location is root of your SD card)
10. If all went well just boot into CWM and flash the zip.

Great writeup bro. Great app and I hope more people start using it, especially after this.

Help getting black notification bar

Would anyone be willing to walk me through, very slowly, the process of getting the black notification bar? Rooted Droid X OTA 2.2
Thanks!

I want to bump this because i have the exact same question/problem and it seems nobody is checking these forums. i've read the other thread called dark gray status bar, but it's not very clear. thanks for the future help
I am not aware of just a black bar other than the one you mentioned. Probably the easiest way would to put a theme on your phone but for that you need to be de-odexed. 928droid has an awesome black glass theme that also de-odexes your phone at the same time.
Here are the steps if your interested.
1. Download 928black glass deodexer from WWW.928droid.com
2. Get DroidX bootstrap from the market. Open it tap the top button, when it says success, tap boot into recovery. There scroll down to backup and restore and backup your phone to what it is now incase something goes wrong or you don't like it.
When your backup is done use the volume rocker to scroll down to install zip from SD card, then scroll down to choose zip. Use the camera button to make your selection, you have to push it all the way in. When the theme is done select reboot now and you should be all set.

There are two ways I could help you guys out either buy posting a .zip file that you may flash because I assume you are rooted or I can explain how to do this yourself and make your bar your own...
Here is way I did

[Q] new fonts

Hello!
Forgive my newbiness. I'd like to change the default font on my phone (Epic). I know that "Root Tools" can do it, but there's only a handfull to choose from and they're mostly ugly. Can I find a .ttf to my liking, download it, and stick it in a folder and voila! Or is there more to it?
Thanks!
Best of Luck and All,
Reader Mo
You can do it with metamorph, theres a zip file in in the themes section of a mysteryemotionz eclair theme that works. And there is a thread called 200 flashable font packs, that I can confirm works, I am currently using the hand of shaun font and its great.

Ok i got Hulu working on my Thunderbolt by following these steps.
1. Download Flash 10.2 on your phone, make sure its set to not auto update
2. Download http://www.mediafire.com/file/en3tj77er9ucrqp/libflashplayer.so
3. Use Root Explorer or ADB to put the file in: /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib
4. If it asks if you want to overwrite the file chose yes, i know it will if you use root explorer, not sure about adb cause i didnt use it.
Hope you all enjoy!

SMS issue

Hi,
After installing a new custom ROM (I don't know the name of it, and can't seem to find the original file), when texting someone, the screen jumps to the very top of the messaging thread. Which makes it very difficult to edit or proof read what I'm typing.
I'm pretty certain the ROM matters, and I'm currently looking into it. However, it is one that strips Android down to the bare minimals removing sprint apps etc.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
Thanks!

How do you flash a ROM and not which one it is?
BTW, go to phone info and you'll probably find the name of the ROM
I flashed it a while ago and don't recall the name.
Here's the software information in settings:

Any ideas? I was wondering if there are different versions of the stock messaging app?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA
Friend that pic is a bit small. I would do a full wipe and flash a new Rom. I use amon ra with great results.
try this...
Use root explorer, and make sure it is set to R/W mode (read/write).
Navigate to /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db and delete that file, then restart your phone.
After the restart, you should be able to send and receive MMS messages.
Hope this helped ya, worked like a charm for me!
