what is the best camera apps for w8? i just downloaded Vignette and Pro HDR Camera but i got problem when i capture picture the photos comes in green color with strange shape why is this happen? pls hep me!

Maybe because xgin 5.0 doesn't use the 3mp libs and its camera is limited to VGA.
You should change the photo quality to VGA through settings.
Why are you using such an old ROM?
becus i cant use the latest roms with [data,META-INF,system] inside the zip,I tried different roms but this is the only one works for me i downloaded XGin5.0 zip and it has XGin5.0 folder inside and i put the folder inside xrecover>backup
for your ROM, try gingerXperia V13...you can flash it using xrecovery.
CWM will be automatically installed if you flashed it successfully.
By then, you can now install other ROMS like GingerDX using CWM.
and as for your camera problem you can try camera360...search for it.

But my defy always stops booting at Motorola-Logo, if I install the zip-file with CWR. I also tried to install the three lib-files with root-explorer with same result.
Maybe I have to take libs from another chinese rom.
Q: How can I find out, which chinese-rom libs are compatible to my rom?

Hello all, I just flashed the aosb 1.3.7 into my E330S, the system works great, however, it doesn't have 4k cam from note3. I found the post about 4k cam from note3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711239) and I tried exactly what tutorial says, the camera doesn't not work, showing "camera failed". I flashed the original 4.4.2, the 4k camera does work, but it just won't work in aosb 1.3.7, any idea? Thank very much!
btw, when I tried to replace the cam apk file, I could not find the samsungcamera2.apk in / system / app , instead, I found camera.apk, so I renamed the samsungcamera2.apk to camera.apk and replaced camera.apk, then rebooted, still, the camera did not work.

its the dpi. have you adjusted your build.prop?

i tested it with my popwiz with 420dpi and camera still works
i think your problem is with the ROM
I don't have any experience in app porting, but i extracted the camera files from stock rom.
If someone can please port the camera app. Or post a guide how to port stock apps to custom rom.
There are some features that are missing from gcam as compared to stock cam.
I tried installing by placing the files in exact location in custom ROM but not working

I'd like to know it too! I was thinking to make a backup of the stock camera via Titanium Backup, then restoring it after the custom ROM had been installed, but I did not try yet.
