It actually started with my personal need for a stock like ROM with more storage space provided, only the unnecessary applications & files removed without much customizations, enhancements or applications.
Thought of sharing my ROM for the people of my taste in XDA
Kindly provide your valuable feedback & possible solutions for any bugs found.

6. Added "Send/ReceiveAll" for easy syncing of mail. (Thanks to krazy_about_technology)
7. Added Theme switcher (Testing, will be added with more options later in upcoming version;))
8. Added swype.
9. Added My Account.
10. Organized start menu programs in folders instead of clustered programs (Thanks to Prudviraj for Idea)
11. Few other tweaks & registry changes.

When your device is not responsive/hanging frequently follow these steps:
Step # 1:
1. Connect your device to PC in disk mode.
2. Delete the folders "Appdata", "MSMETADATA" & search for files named "HTCIndex.info" and delete them all.
3. Scan SD card with default tool in windows.
IF step 1 is not working out then continue to step#2,
Step #2 :
Backup the files in memory card & then try formatting the SD card in "FAT32" format with "DEFAULT ALLOCATION SIZE" only.
IF step#1 & Step#2 are not working out then continue to step#3,
Step # 3:
1. Try MTTY and then flash the recommended OFFICIAL radio for TMOUS HD2.
2. Flash the custom (Kumar's) ROM now.
3. Hardreset after flashing.
Note:
Always try to remove the memory card & SIM or atleast the memory card while flashing.
Insert the memory card after you customize your device.

1. There is one real badass bug @ Twitter tab in Manila... as soon as u touch any tweet, n enter the 'What are you doing?' screen, phone freezes... DONE! gota either soft reset or mostly pul battery to get the hell outa there...
Guess this bug put me off badly... but having used lota GTX roms, i can assure u that there was no bug in oobe, lock screen, dialer/phone canvas, CHT or mail/network config, telephony, appz included like Myphone, IM client etc...
Good work... liked the looks of what to expect n come hereon...

Reverting to a more stable/usable Kumar ROM now..

If you still wish to try, Disable manila, try installing the attached cab &
soft reset and re enable manila.

The All tweets was not opening before and crashes on status update,etc. the fix is for correcting those.
Someone lemme know how it goes.

after the fix kumar twitter is works like a charm.. however i am having 1 small problem wich i had last rom.. i frequently do my banking over the phone but when i type my numbers they dont register.. any idea what could be wrong?

Thanks for the feedback friend.
Friends, those who have downloaded and have interest in the future development of GTX version, kindly provide your feedback. So that i shall know whether to continue further or not. Also, it will help me to identify any possible bugs if any and to improve the future versions further. Thanks to everyone

i am loving gtx. please continue. i would love to have the small music player that you have in 2.2/2.3. i have installed the rom last night and used phone frequently all morning and the problem i have is that music player in manila is hanging up phone. it is non responsive when i goto music. it was at fine at the beginning but now totally freezes when i goto music. happened after i tried to update album art. i tried 2.2 and had many issues. will address over there.

This test rom in its current avatar is good and there is lil to be tweaked here else u wanna add a new base, 2.14 of course... moreover CHT version u've used is now outdated and for gtx CHT 1.8.5 is around the corner...
so my suggestion is to wait and release an updated package with all tweaks n fix along with an new base... now i dont know if its alrite this way but u might be able to share ur thots on this...

I have Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja to test, both are working fine.

this is the way how to fix the sms bug（can't sent and receive sms）in DFT freedom
rom Version 2 for htc 7 Mozart , thanks for ego/ted973 provide this method.

if you have a bootloader with 4.xx or 5.xx spl (spl in tri colour boot loader screen) you must first flash to a nodo rom with lower spl. than you can flash rspl. rspl is enough. you dont need hspl for flashing custom roms! after flashing rspl you could flash the dft rom without bricking phone. hope could be of help.

Also please do tell if i restore my phone to an earlier ROM will it be as good as nodo...as i have a restore point created while upgrading to mango

I have a small question. It possible to change a search engine from the BING to the GOOGLE? Now I use the DFT ROM V2. In this ROM with APP Advance config. I can't do it, it's blocked.

Modify your registry as follows (quoted from DFT China Forum, by Mwang)..

For the touch focus function, which appeared in V2, was not perfect. You can touch the point to activate the focus frame but it wasn't effective. so it was removed in V3. it will be added again when running perfectly in future versions.

This registry edit brings back the same color distortion.
You can check that in HTC Hub easily...
I want to remind that it's "Nodo fix 16 bit colour banding". Keyword is NoDo!!! We don't need to apply it anymore because it's fixed in the system by default.
The default meanings - 10 (hex) for all three parameters - work perfectly on latest 7740.

EmpTea is right, you should test this rom with MOZART before you say that. May be this issue is not the colour banding problem. However, before I change the registry value like EmpTea, the gradient background in HTC Hub is not smooth.

Are you kidding me? You wanna tell me what should I test? I don't use DFT rom V3 because:
1. it's pretty buggy (comparing to V2)
2. I use only my own roms
But believe me - I tested both V2 & V3.
I also tested that color **** on 3 different Mozarts. If the system is normally made 7740 - the Nodo color banding - just useless, even it makes it worse.

What should you test?
1. Flash DFT V3
2. After flashing, open the HTC Hub and look at the blue gradient background. Is it smooth?
3. Edit the registry value like EmpTea's post
4. Reboot and open the HTC Hub again, look at the blue gradient background anf you will see the difference. Is it smoother?
If you don't want to do this test, I will show you some evidence pictures later. Anyway, I don't say that this issue is colour banding problem, may be it's another problem and my question in the post #12 above is wrong (in the post #12, I want to expland that the bg in HTC Hub is not smooth, sorry because I thought it is colour banding problem, sorry for my miss understanding). However, the registry fix in EmpTea's post is affective.
I'm not using DFT V3 like you because I like unlocked roms based on lastest ship rom without any tweaks for stability. But the EmpTea's solution works well, it's useful for people who want to use this rom.

I have been browsing on the DFT forums, and have found the following ROM.

The change log is included, I have flashed it and it seems to be pretty stable. You do NOT need an activation code to access windows live services with this one
Downloading it was a pain for me, navigating the Chinese site, registering and adding friends was frustrating. Therefore I will upload the ROM to quickfilepost, I will edit this when it is done...

I am wondering if you had permission from the Dark Forces Team or members of the DFT website to download the file and then upload the file to another file sharing service.
It is basically a well-established tradition here on this forum that either members of the Dark Forces Team, such as Cotulla or mwang, or someone else they have asked to post here open threads on XDA-Developers when members of the team release new ROMS, new MAGLDR, and other utilities.
As I recall, on the Dark Forces Team website in China there is a form to fill out if you want to post their work on another site. I do not recall if the form is in Chinese or English or both. I wonder if you filled out the form if it is still there. At any rate, I hope you had DaZ's permission before posting his work on other sites.
P.S. For those who are wondering the file has nothing to do with the upcoming new MAGLDR from Cotulla or new ROMS he will be releasing for Leo.

If you want a version of Windows Phone 7 Mango 8779 why not just download one of the versions here on XDA-Developers? Or, you could wait for Cotulla's next version of MAGLDR and a ROM that will be compatible with the new MAGLDR.
I have a hunch that a password was placed on the download on DFT China just because of the existence of this thread.

Yes, DFT China is down at the moment. Strange though, I do not recall the required password. But, then, my mileage may vary from yours, as I was given a VIP account on the site by the original administrator of the site and probably have a better understanding of the language, although I am much more familiar with traditional Chinese characters than Simplified Chinese characters...

The site is online and working again. Anyway all of this is purely academic, as I reread DaZ's thread on DFT China. In that thread DaZ made a request that the downloaded files be deleted from the computer it was downloaded to 24 hours after the download as the ROM is for testing purposes only. Due to that request I suspect that he is somewhat unlikely to consent to having this ROM placed on another third party file sharing service, and especially on a file sharing service that is outside of China.
At any rate, I agree with one or two of our HD2 Windows Phone 7 chefs here on XDA-Developes who have suggested waiting to flash our HD2s until Cotulla and the other team members of DFT release the new version of MAGLDR for our Leos. Those of us who have followed the developments cannot help but be excited about the new capabilities our phones will acquire.

im getting the same thing but all my games are not working. does anybody know if there is a cab or a reg fix to get the games working? other than the games not working, this is a perfect os.

Those who are more familiar with the people in the developing community realize that almost all the newer Windows Phone 7 ROMs for Leo are based on work from Cotulla and DFT, and that includes DaZ and HD2Owner. Both give credit to Cotulla and DFT on their ROM pages, whether it is on DFT China, or XDA-Developers. Russian and English are not the only languages that Cotulla can communicate in. Many people from many countries are looking forward to further developments from DFT and Cotulla.
