There were reported tornadoes all across the South last night.
And how could you fake this? Who in the hell would fake this?

Its definitely not fake. I was in my garage at 3pm changing a engine and all of a sudden the wind went balistic. It lasted all of maybe 2 minutes.
Not sure of injuries or what not. We have no power and all of our neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods are blocked off from traffic right now. I have more pictures but they do no justice.

Man how can u guys live out there that's scarry.

There's weather everywhere. The Northeast can get crippling blizzards, Florida can get hurricanes, the South and Midwest can get tornadoes, California can get earthquakes...

This is something that does not happen very often. The pictures I posted are just a few, there is worse damage in other areas. I consider myself lucky on this one as I was in it but just on the outskirts of it.
Just 2 blocks over from me houses are ripped apart but all our house just got some small branches in the yard.
Fun day and during all this madness I was able to swap and engine in a jeep grand cherokee ;-)

I live in South Carolina in the Upstate, and man the WIND was ****ing CRAZY today. I could only imagine what was happening before it got here. Man, sorry to hear about your neighborhood. Hope people recover fast and things aren't down for too long for you guys.

I hope everyone is ok. That's crazy. I know my basement is flooding right now where I live from all the hard rain.

Thanks for the condolences. Its going to take a few days I assume to get power restored, just about every power pole on yadkin rd which is about a mile long are down.
I can only follow what's posted on line to see about injuries and what not, hope not too many were hurt or anything.

Eastern Coastline gets Hurricanes as a whole.
We were on watch for tornado's all day today, we lucked out though.
It's amazing how everything can be fine one minute, and the next nature decides to unleash hell.

Glad everyone ok. Yeah, I'm right up the road from Yadkin too. We had power out for just an hour or two and I saw the wind and rain (freaked my puppy out) but then I heard about the devastation over there, it's crazy. I'm glad that we were spared that. Hope those affected by it are ok.

geez I am glad everything is ok. I was at a concert Friday night in Atlanta and it started hailing on us. I thought that was bad

Sprint just got the towers back in check a few hours ago. We also got power back just a little bit ago.
I did take those pics with my epic.
So far I have heard of 10 people that didn't make it.

I think we came to the conclusion in irc that the average age of epic users here is 17, while the mental age is more like 14.
I never would have thought that myself, at 23, am actually on the older side of members (not that 23 is old. Or 36 for that matter)

i used to tell people when they asked how old i was that when i was in HS i had to break up with this girl that lived in manhatten (i live in queens for the nyers) because i wasn't allowed to call her because it was a long distance call. this is within the same city mind you. this even before pagers became popular (the ones that you would call the # and key in your phone number... no alphanumeric or any of that)

i remember when AOL was "cool" to have. back in 1997... was that like a thousand years ago? one song took me over an hour to download. i even dial-up dukematched with a friend for Duke Nukem 3d. i remember knowing some lucky kids who had that internet thing even earlier and they had to pay by the minute!
and before that? i read books. i remember books... they looked like these words i'm typing now, but i could flip the pages instead of sliding my finger on the screen. ;_; i miss books.

I still have mine since launch day. Never exchanged it. Scratches on the side and kick stand, with my Seidio 3500 extended battery I got a month later. This bad ***** can last another year, and that's when I'll get a divorce and switch to a quad core (hopefully) phone.

I am right there with you. 0002 hardware all the way. I think I'm going to buy the 3D just as a development phone. My Evo has yet to become old and unattractive (unlike my ex-girlfriend)

I still have mine from launch day. I dropped it in my dog's water bowl last month, and at first I thought it survived unscathed, but now it's doing all kinds of weird crap (GPS issues, not fun when I needed it on a trip last weekend; music skips or sometimes the voice search window pops up during playback for no reason; etc etc). No amount of wiping or different ROMs seems to help, so I'm guessing something got fried in the process.
So in other words, it may be time to make a claim. I'll miss the old bag, we've been through so much together *tear*.

I still have my launch day EVO. My goodness this was the best phone I have ever had in my life! I had a blackberry before this phone so some of you guys must know the hell we all go with when one has a blackberry.

I've also had mine since launch day. It made me look like such a badass when summer ended and I went back to high school. ****, it still does. Now there's just many more thunderbolts and incredibles that try to compete with me, but they fail.
Anyway I think the EVO 3D looks awesome but I think ill just skip this generation of EVO because the original has been so good to me and I just can't drop it a year later.
Just imagine how sick the new EVO will be in a years time.

my "launch day" evolution went for a swim about 2 months in my replacement evo has been a solid device. can't believe its been a year already.

I didn't even think it *was* an earthquake at first... didn't occour to me to think that.
I thought "wow! the upstars neighbors are really gettin it on!"

I thought it was one of the A/C units in the datacenter (40ton chillers) doing it's thing.

It was crazy here in VA. Thought my building was going to come down.

It happened in Richmond Virginia after all. I felt it slightly where I live (upstate NY). My mom felt it quite a bit in NYC though. They were evacuating people, and the phones were down.

I'm over here in Wellesley, MA and felt it up on the 2nd floor. It was crazy. I always feel the floor shake during the day, but this is different, it like, made my head hurt o.o

Nothing in Central Florida, but Aunt in south NJ felt it.

I was at the top of an elevator hoistway in the Saudi Embassy in McLean Va. Pretty scary seeing this mansion shake and hauling ass down the stairs while shaking. Gotta be nuts to live the west coast! Thanks for asking op.

I felt it while siting in my truck in the DMV. Truck shook for about 5 sec. Thought it was a string wind. Looked around and didn't see any trees our leaves blowing. Then it started shaking even harder. I'm looking around thinking somebody is physically shaking my truck like wth going on. Then the office buildings started emptying and people was asking me did I feel it outside.

I was in few good ones when I lived in Cali. Most notably, the 1987 Whittier quake (5.9)

I live here in Colorado springs there was a 5.2 yesterday about 3 hrs south of here and didn't feel nothing but people a hr north in Denver did. I can't believe there was so many. The world is ending lol.

I already answered this before but I'll say it again, you've got to be kidding me. I've been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? I hole-hardedly agree, but allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go.
Make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. Lol ok ill try to get the puppy. The wedding is on the phone to save money anywhere.
