I have a Galaxy Tab I sold to someone. It was rooted and unlocked using the samsung Z3x Team software. I unlocked it worked for a while, then the network relocked itself. I did this 3 times and even reflased stock firmware then rooted, then unlocked same thing. I tried the patch same result. Any ideas what would cause this?

So i have a unlocked note 3(sprint) and i hard bricked it.Totally messed it up.I used to flash note3 hlte roms on my unlocked note 3 sprint and they all worked flawlessly. To unbrick my note 3 i tried to flash note 3 international stock firmware but the process always fails in Odin.So i guess i need to flash the sprint note 3 stock firmware. My question is: if i flash the sprint firmware will it re-lock my phone sim network to sprint only? or will it remain unlocked.
It is my understanding that, once sim unlocked, Samsung phones should stay sim unlocked. I have unlocked Canadian Samsung s3, s2, note 2, and s4 via code, apps, and menu options and none of them have relocked after flashing stock or custom ROMs.
Hello guys,
About 22 months ago I grabbed a UK Note 3 (n9005 iirc) on the O2 network and loved it to bits. I requested my unlock code in early April, received it and proceeded to grab a new phone and passed my old Note 3 onto my Dad.
The Note 3 had it's bootloader unlocked, rooted, custom recovery flashed and running SlimLP and is till pretty great.
So my Dad pops his Three SIM into the Note 3, it asks for the unlock code, he puts the code in direct from the email I received from O2 and... code failed, unlock unsuccessful. My Dad being my Dad, asked me to input the code and nada, no go. O2 sent me a new code today after I spoke to them this morning and informed them... that new code is exactly the same as the old one that didn't work.
I checked the IMEI number against the one in the email and they match perfectly.
Could the fact that the the bootloader is unlocked, the phone is rooted, there's a custom rom on and/or a custom recovery installed be affecting the unlock code? My Dad has everything else working to his satisfaction on the phone all except this whole network issue.
At this moment in time I am quite frustrated that despite having the code it's not straight away simple and working as expected.
Any assistance would be most welcome.
The bootloader has never been locked on the phone afaik.
The unlock code needs to to be entered using a stock Samsung dialler.
I recommend flashing back to stock, sim unlock, flash back to a custom rom.

I'm sure the bootloader was locked as it triggered the void warranty bit but it's been so long ago that anything could have happened.
SlimLP uses the stock dialler for Lollipop anyway but it's no pain to flash the phone with a stock rom (does it matter if it's an O2 stock ROM or can it be a stock Lollipop Rom?) and give that a go.
Personally I use PixelPro dialler which doesn't seem to take over the phone part like it used to, only the dialler side.... But that's by the by.
Knox and a locked bootloader and two different things.
Knox is present in almost every Samsung android phone running 4.3 or higher. It is Knox that triggers the change from 0x0 to 0x1.
Locked bootloaders are present on phones from att and Verizon. There could be others but these seem to be the most common. Att and Verizon note 3 bootloaders, once locked, have never been successfully unlocked as no one has been able to find a working exploit.
When I say stock dialler, I am referring to the stock Samsung dialler.
Flashed back to a 5.1.1 stock O2UK network ROM, entered the code and voila.... network unlocked.
Thanks for the assist.
Ok, so I'm technically a new user on XDA although it's not the first time I've read through things here and been relatively successful with rooting and flashing different ROMs. I made an account recently because just reading is no longer helping me
Anyway, I'm trying to unlock the bootloader on the Galaxy S5 G900F model. I've been able to install Philz Touch Recovery and gotten root access, but I still can't flash a ROM because the bootloader is locked. I can't seem to find a method, specifically for G900F, but I've tried several methods already including the following:
[GUIDE] Unlocking the Galaxys S5 Bootloader … | Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 5
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...t/rd-unlocking-galaxys-s5-bootloader-t3337909
- All 4 methods don't work which isn't surprising since this is for G900V, the Verizon one.

- Same problem as above, it's for G900V
Twrp, Root And Bootloader Unlock For Samsung Galaxy S5 - Droid School
http://www.droidschool.com/twrp-root-bootloader-unlock-samsung-galaxy-s5/
- This one just frustrated me because I knew the fastboot method didn't work on Samsung phones, but I tried it anyway.
I've also tried using the CF-AutoRoot flashed through Odin, but that ended up failing too.
If anybody can point me in the right direction or something, it would be very much appreciated.
G900F is int'l, so its bootloader is unlocked from the factory. G900V, the verizon model has a locked bootloader. Decide if you have a G900F or G900V.

You have a snapdragon version that has a locked bootloader, there is no current standalone root method, if you have the latest bootloader installed then the mentioned methods you've used won't work as they haven't patched it yet. Blame the network providers for all this.
