I have just updated to the Android Revolution HD ROM and am now consistently receiving a popup stating "SMS Message: ZONE10%5%" - which I assume is something from my provider.
Problem is I have no idea what application has allowed this to happen, nor how to disable this.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks

Menu > Settings > Call (Yeah, for an SMS Message I dunno) > Uncheck "Cell Broadcast"
In case anyone needed to know!

I have a problem with the sound for when I get a new message. It just won't play. I go into Start>>Settings>>Sounds & Notifications on the Notification tab I scroll down to "Messaging: New text message" and choose some sound... When I press play nothing happens, and neither when I get a message.
Has anyone had this problem or has anyone got any ideas of how to fix it?
Best regards - Oskar
I suggest you do a hard-rest after a fully backup...
It's ok now, I found what was wrong...
I had unchecked the box that says: "Enable sounds for Programs -> Notifications"
My bad, thanks for the tip though.
how do i disable this annoyance??
i cant use my phone at all while on a phone call other then to talk...cant browse thru my contacts...emails..nothing..cause this annoying pop up keeps popping up saying it cant connect..
there mst be something in the registry that can fix this..
please advise..
no ideas?
noone ever has this problem but me??
i wonder if its some software im using like implus or somthing trying to connect
Old topic, but here ya go anyhow...
Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications Tab > Pull down menu and choose "Connection Established" > Uncheck "Display message on screen" > Press "Ok"
This gets rid of all GPRS connection status popups! (It worked perfect for me and others atleast)
Hey guys how do i get read of those SMS messages from system administrator that keeps telling me that my SMS was delivered ?
open up your sms inbox > go to Menu > Tools > Options > Text Messages > untick the "request delivery notifications" box
thanks
hrm didn't work i still get them,
i've soft restarted and every thing
can i change that in registry some where ?
its a carrier thing. try using another phone then do the "untick the "request delivery notifications" box" using that phone.
Hi, I would like to know if I can disable forever the "Request Message delivery notification" check, when I'm sending an SMS. the steps are...
1. SMS
2. New SMS
3. Menu
4. Message Options...
5. Uncheck "Request Message delivery notification".
How can I do it this just once, and disable forever?
This might help. I haven't got mail notification enabled, but I think this will help:
go to: messages - (tap on whatever message) - menu - message option - untick request .... (don't know if it is only for 1 message or for all)
if this doesn't help, install advanced config and under the title message you have this option and that certainly stops the delivery notification.
Thanks, it works...
Hey guys,
Searched the entire forum and HTC's manual but couldn't find any info of how to enable a Ringtone and vibration for incoming text messages at the same time. By default my device just rings and mostly times i can't hear it in my pocket. This creates a big inconvenience for me, in fact that I have to check my phone for incoming text messages all the time.
Is there any setting or app i can use to fix it?
Start > Settings >Sounds & Notifications> *switch to notification tab* > *scroll to Message: New Message under Event > you can enable vibration for new sms there.
