Hello.
I tried lots of ROMs and finally decided to ask about your opinion. So currently I am using Desire_DL ROM because i wanted something with sense. But since i changed to WP7 i don't care about sense anymore. I tried arround 10 ROMs with Sense and now I don't want to do the same for non-sense ROMs that's why I am asking here. So as i said I need this ROM to be fast for playing 3D games witout lags. It would be good if the ROM was Gingerbread too but if some Froyo is fastest then I will take it.
So what do you guys recommend?
Sincerely
Okeyus

+1 I am playing backstab with no lag with hyperdroid .
I use CM7 Roms For Performance... Italien a beautifull and lightning fast ROM.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
Personally I'd recommend the TyphooN CM7 ROM. Rock solid, fast and really light. From boot it leaves >287Mb RAM free, bare minimum of processes/services running which should be great if you turn off background data/syncing, wifi, phone, gps, bluetooth etc (if they're not needed, otherwise they can zap quite a few CPU cycles as well as draining the battery).
YMMV
I Like MXZ MIUI
Pretty much any non-sense, gingerbread ROM's are stable and run heavy games just fine. For the maximum performance I would suggest an aosp gingerbread ROM-no CM7
TyphooN CM7 ROM Asphalt 6 no lugs
dorimanx is best for me...
I`m using CM7 for perfomance
It is fast and smooth
Hmm..

if u searched and read reviews, I believe u ll get a good answer .. better than opining a new thread anyway GO HERE its the best in my opinion, I tried all builds over XDA.
whenever im looking at the updates or for a new rom i always check out this post and just read around who has the most updates..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=929324
I was previously using a build from Xboarder which was pretty good but this has since been discontinued so im using Sergio Coredroid V1.3 now.
Hyperdroid GBX by pongster its very fast stable I have no issues with it
Sent from my HD2 using Tapatalk
I also use HyperDroid GBX V6.0 by pongster. Its super fast and very reliable. I use it for daily use and have no issues whatsoever. Definitely my favorite. UD 3.0.1 is a good alternative too.

?
And which one will be closer to (or better) than MDJs_CyanogenMod7_v.2.6_NAND_A2SD+CWM?
I use HyperDroid GBX V9.0. speed is very good, very stable, energy saving.
im using hyperdroid gbx v9 with v6kernel. everything i need is working perfectly. been trying it since v7. and love hyperdroid..
Both are great builds and in my opinion better than MDJs_CyanogenMod7_v.2.6_NAND_A2SD+CWM
if you want/need CyanogenMod7 features like theme support and DSP you currently have with MDJ's build then you want to dl
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769026
That said, if you can live without those features, then i would suggest hyperdroid GBX (the other link). Its built from AOSP source and is, in my experience much faster and more stable

Or like hyperdroid gbx v9, gingerbread's ROM, I have been eliminated.
I LOVE MDJ CM7!!! (With My Custom TouchWiz UI)
For me it is TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 - very frequently updated.
Hyperdroid cm7 1.02 is actually the fastest for me
I like CoreDroid v1.5.
Pretty fast and stable. I use it Daily.
Most people like minimalistic, crazy, honestly pointlessly fast ROMs.
To be truthful, these phones can do so much, use them to their capability.
I really like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=995272
Best Gigerbread rom
MDJ 2.6 no more updates but everything works so no need. Pongster benchmarks faster but forums are full of issues daily AND after installing you have to edit the lcd density cuz icons are too small.

Having only recently switched from MDJs CyanogenMod7 v.2.6 NAND A2SD+CWM to Pongsters ROMs, my experiences may help.
I have tried / re-tried both of Pongsters ROMs that you quote above, and without doubt - BOTH are far better, faster & much more reliable than the old MDJ CyanogenMod7_v.2.6 ROM. This is no way a slant on MDJ - I loved his ROM's, but was fed up with the lack of support etc.
Pongster on the other hand is active, and the support here @ XDA is incredible for both of his ROM's. I guess HyperDroid-CM7-v1.0.4 is nearer to your old MDJ ROM as its also CM7, however, I favour HyperDroidGBX-v11. Its blindingly fast, very smooth & a joy to use. No crashes - very stable.
Without doubt the best I have tried. Hope this helps
Do you guys experience data drops that dont reconnect? I'm using americandroid gb sd rom but the only problem it has it's that data doesnt reconnect. Ive been thinking to switching to a nand built but just want to make sure the data problem isn't a gb problem. Thanks

replacing Imilka DHD V.1 RAM !!!!!
Imilka is currently the King !
How about rafdroid 4.0.2 or ultimate droid??
After trying a lots of sense ROMs i think that the most stable are 2,
1.Rafdroid 3.1,fast-stable-didnt give any problems....after that version all the others where buggy...
2.Coredroid 1.5 its stable-stable-fast-and with no bugs except the every sense one s....
The problem with the ROMs is that the Devs in every new version tweak everything except the basic problems,so they take a stable version and they make it unstable and more buggy...
Imilka ports a lot off ROM,every day a new one but after 3-4 releases he abbandons it....thats y i dont install every version...i tried incredible S and it was perfect but he did not continue it...now its GB with sense, you will see that this will be abandond too.....I DONT say that they are no good,THEY ARE PERFECT!!but not continued...
MDJ had verry good ports and ROMs,i was testing all of them but he closed the door on us....
All this is my opinion......
imika's V1 Ram is the best. i have to say
HyperDroid-CM7v1.0.1 not hesitatation

tried imilka alrdy there is some problem with internal memory compare to rafdroid you can have internal memory 1 to 4 gb but in imilka its very less
It's really depend on your purpose and your way of use.
If you want faster, the most easy way is setcpu or some other similar app.
If you want bugless, chose some "old" rom (have a look in reply num, more replied, more popular) which is based on original rom and hasn't made too much changes.
If you install a lot of things(from or not from market), you should crach all roms(original or not), so, for a daily use, just put what you really need.
And your question is a little confusing: Newer is faster(in most case), but newer is buggy(also in most case). So, faster can't stand with bugless(always in most case), unless it's a rom update.
The end: Compitition makes progress, but compitition with out rule makes war. In my idea, a vote with out reasonable rule is just like the seconde...
PS: I use MCCM HD 5.1(NAND) for a while, it's very close to original desire HD, fast(rom odexed) and stable enough for daily use(for me). I emphasize here "enough" and "daily use".

Really Depends if you want sense etc etc theres plenty of good roms.
Well CM7 runs quite slow after a day or even less, even if you overclock...it's because Gingerbread is quite demanding on this little fellow.
You could try Cm7 Nightly 151 and Rempuzzle (sense froyo with widgets+WIL script+cm7 kernel for OC) and see there is a big difference.
Personally, I liked CM7 a lot, and still do, since i've used it for half an year or so, but a stock android just can't bring what I need, nor market apps, but htc sense does.
I hope I helped. Good luck with your choice.

Probably Vanilla Eclair or Decked if you want no sense.
Or Heroine if you want sense. Take your pic
Definitely Decked_X if you don't want Sense.
Hey Thank's for your input.
Because i like and want sense ui, i've flashed heroine++ ... yes it's fast, but i missed some features from gb roms so i flashed WildHerocV5 and added the V6supercharge script.. and it feels almost the same as heroine speed almost!
It would be nice if there is some GB2.3.7 (CM7.1) rom with sense! I previously have flashed Decked_X, and tried to apply some themes and stuff to get the sense look and i had no luck.

at some point all the roms I tried becomes slower or more sluggish, maybe because of the other reasons, just try to use and keep apps you really need, know whats running in your background and get a phone with 1ghz or more processor to handle picture and web browsers fluently..(kidding) thats a reality, you can tweak, get some light roms, but then you'll loose a lot functions, then you will have to install aditional apps you don't like... then a phone because of those apps becomes sluggy again and even buggy... need to look for updated comfortable rom and go with the idea that hero is a bit of a granny. Try Lewa OS RC2 port for GSM hero.
Been using for more than 24 hours and so far only positive opinion.

Hey guys,
Im looking for a ROM for my HTC HD2.
(Android of course)
It should run pretty stable, have as few glitches as possible, preferably not drain my battery but still run powerful.
I know there are overclocked ones and the battery saving ones.
Apart from that it should definately look nice.
I like the UI of this one but oddly enough this won´t work on my HD2, no idea why.

Really? You've limited yourself to CM7 ROMs (e.g. Typhoon, Hyperdroid), MIUI ROMs (e.g. NDT) and Android 4.0 ICS. I think you mean it must be Gingerbread, not 2.3.7. Also, have you tried the search button or tried out ROMs? Hundreds of threads exactly the same as this exist and the only way to find a ROM you like is to try it out for yourself. If you wanted to see which ROM is most popular, just look at the number of views the thread has.
My personal recommendation? Typhoon CM7, runs perfectly and is everything you're looking for
i ran RafDroid HD for the longest time and it's my fall back if the other ROMS i'm running give me trouble, it's fast and silky smooth and works great for me.

Try any of the MIUI stable builds, they are rock solid and light on the battery.
like those by NDT, JW or the one called PATs MIUI sense like.
here's a link for a start
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010498
Hmm in my experience MIUI roms are more battery draining usually than straight cm7 based ones.
MIUI is nice for sure but a matter of taste.
most ROMs are stable and don't drain battery. Miui, CM7, or Froyo Sense ROMs. I had killer battery life on Miui ROMs.
don't know much about 2.3 Sense, 4.0 sucks now
