google goggles can do it
ABBYY BCR has a very good OCR engine, supports latin, cyrillic, chineese, arabic and other scripts. But it is specifically made for business cards, never tested it with pure text.
Google Googles is a cloud application while ABBYY BCR is offline.

Umm, that already exists. Its called Google Translate. If the speech input option is not present, you need to install Voice Search from the Market.
My market text is all in japanese. I can't find a setting to change it to english.
My language settings are US - English in the settings menu, my gmail account is also set to US - English.
Any ideas?

only the market descriptions are in Japanese for me, I haven't noticed Japanese text within apps.
I want to use google docs on my tablet not using the app but the browser. So I set my browser to show all like on a pc (desktop mode). After loggin in and opening a doc my tablet shows no keyboard, so I can't edit the doc.
Is there a way, to show the keyboard on my tablet? I'm wondering beeing the only person who has this problem, because I tried it with android-browser, dolphin an firefox.
I have noticed it too. I usually use the docs to go to do the editing. I use google docs to add pics to the document.

Can anyone tell me what the google one time init, google partner setup, latin input tutorial are used for? i know they are installed with google apps so it is safe to remove/Freeze them?

Great list. I just rooted a backflip and installed CM7 on it. It is better than stock but I still needed to trim more fat so that the phone is actually usable.
I think I'm in love with Moto rooting/modding. Never got into it with LG or HTC. Now I want to go and get my Defy back...!!

Does anybody have a list of which files can be deleted(bloatware) like Chinese, Korean keyboard.
Also if possible a guide of what the app is called and what the app was for.

you can delete any of the not important system apps, keyboards, and live wallpapers. theres no guide.
do not delete contacts and the gallery. removing the gallery will kill the camera, and the contacts cause all kinds of crash messages.
Talk, google+, maps and street view, gmail, books and movies were safe to remove on my tablet, as well as the input modules for the languages I don't use. if you have replacements, you can also get rid of the calculator, the clock, the default launcher. google currents is also quite safe to remove.

I used an app from the play store called system cleanup which gives a small description of what each app does and also a coloured code it to show if safe or not.
It is free app from xda member inteks(think spelt name correct.)
