I installed "Back to the Future [XBmod-Yuki]" and updated it to 7720. After installing 7720 I did a hard reset and everything is working fine except sending SMS messages.
My mobile operator is o2 in the UK and I did download HTC Connection Setup program but no luck.
I am pretty sure that other people had the same issue and that the answer is already given but I cant find it.

Asked somebody to send me an SMS made it all work!

Hi,
I have sent myself several text messages from my providers website ( vodafone NZ).
They do not come thru to my device ( WM5, Jas Jar : see below ).
I have reinstalled the ROM, and re loaded back up data via Sprite backup software. Still not working.
Any ideas where to start to investigate this issue ?

Does the same happen with other people sending you messages?
Can you send messages to others?
Exact steps taken and observations of any errors that appear, if any?
Does it happen if you do a hard reset but then DON'T use Spite to restore data? Ie start from a fresh install.

check the sent items in the vodafone website, I have had problems with the vodafone.co.nz webbased system as well, the sent items folder will tell you if they have actually been sent, its been buggy for quite some time now
Back to normal now, I did a hard reset and functions turned back on with Test messages, then I installed my back up without the email load. I reloaded all email setup manually again !

I have installed O2 SMS plus (V1.1) on my Trinity , and it worked great but for a very short time which was until the first Soft-reset after the installation.
After the first soft reset, I wasn't able to send or receive SMSs through the normal program (messegeing) and even after treing O2 SMS plus , I THINK I was only able ONLY to send but not recieve anything.
The only solution was to uninstall it!!
BUT I REALLY DID LIKE IT !!
Does any one have a solution for me to make it work?

I found a solution!!
I found a solution!!
1. Install o2smsplus.cab on your device
2. go to the windows directory and copy the file o2smsplus.exe and past it some were else.
3. go to settings> remove programs and remove o2sms plus
4. soft reset
5. now you can use o2smsplus by running the "copy" of o2smsplus.exe
It worked! great. O2 SMS Plus is a perfect SMS tool to send scheduled and group sms. Thanks!

Hi, I am facing a serious issue after upgrading my O2 Orbit2 to wm6.1 wwe 3.13.260 official rom from O2 website, before Upgrading i took backup of PIM thru sprite backup 6.5 (which works on wm6.1 and 6 both), after upgrading i restored my contacts successfully but the issue is that whenever I receive any call or SMS from the contacts (which i restored) it doesnt detect the name and shows number only, and i tried restoring many times but the same issue happens, contacts are available in phone but does not detect any call or sms, only shows the number. Please tell me why is it happening like this?
by the way when I select any contact and create a duplicate on phone, then it detects the name of incoming call, other then that it does not. i have over 400 contacts, i cannot copy all and then delete the previous one by one, its very tedious process, pls tell me wht is the bug??
please anyone tell me, I have all the contacts saved but incoming call does not show caller name, it shows number for every caller, pls tell me why is this happening, how can i fix it??

i hard spl'd my phone and now i am unable to send or receive picture messages under mms.....it asks me to download but is unable to download or send after countless tries.....anybody have this problem or know a fix?
It is usually the Arcsoft software. I use this copy of Arcsoft I renamed it so I can not verify the source and give them credit so my apologies to them but they were from these forums.
i installed the attachment...but now under my messages i only have text message and no mms...how do i get those?
did you reboot the device?
If all the options are missing you might need to install 2 cabs in succession to get all the files to make it completely operable.
Please reboot and post you results.

still no luck...even if i send a picture messages withing my text message screen a message appears saying unable to send message

yes i did and rebooted....is it because i dont have the rom justme?
No it should not be that.
What ROM you using?
Is your MMS interface complete? Do you have MMS options?
on the last attachment...is the gateway and server adress the same for every phone? i think that is my problem
the rom is canonyang hard spl wm6...and i tried the server thing and it still doesnt work....this is really pissin me off...do you know of a hard spl version that does have a working mms feature....
You only HardSPL once. After that you install roms. This is my understanding how it works and has worked for me this way.

Your text message cannot be sent. Be certain that your service center address is correct in settings and then try sending the message again.
I tried to get the service settings. They can not be found.
I tried Hard-reset and a 6.5 rom.
I'm using a 6.1 barebone rom.

Flashed 3 times now without success..
Can get the other services information except the text message settings

Found the solution!
Atcommander helped me out.
It let me reset the sms central.
