First time poster here and I came to ask if anyone has found a way to clear the saved entries for the stock keyboard. It saved one of my passwords by accident
*Edit* I guess no one knows lol.

Hi after letting people mess about my my XDA Exec I've got a lot of random thing's it seems to have picked up from Word and added to the dictionary of suggested words, is there anyway to deleted these unwanted suggestions? It's seems odd it will add them but I can't find any easy way of removing them....
I installed the Palm Messaging App that threads text messages just to see how it looked and wasnt really fond of it so I wanted to remove it. Well, It was unable to be fully uninstalled for whatever reason and now the hardkey for messaging doesn't list text messages, and the today plugin is still there and launches the Palm app.
Does anyone know a way to manually uninstall this, via registry or something?
Palm Messaging App
Worst case scenario ... which is what I've done many times in the past ... is physically delete the directory and all the files in it. Go into your Today settings and remove the app. You can try searching for the app name in the Registry and remove it manually (backup your registry first).
WARNING ... this is a last case scenario. Perhaps someone else has experience with this specific application. Perhaps you can list the application's full name and version. Maybe even where you got it from, in case someone else wants to play around with it and see if they can find a better way to remove it.
Good luck!
go to the buttos settings and change it.
Does anyone know how to refresh the thumbnail images used for favourite shortcuts on the internet tab?
I added one that took me to a login page, and I'd rather it showed the page I actually get now that I've logged in and got a cookie for auto-login. A bit pedantic, yeah, but I want it refreshed.
I've already tried 2 things, but neither of them works.
I located and deleted the thumbnail image (\Windows\Thumbnail), and now can't get it to create a new one.
I've removed the shortcut, and added it again as a new one, but it still remains "empty".
Any ideas anyone?
I'll answer my own question, in case anyone else ever wants to do this!
I think removing the shortcut and then adding it again may do the trick, but my deleting the thumbnail may have caused an additional problem, so that wouldn't work any more.
What I did to resolve the issue was to edit the favourite. It was a URL with a querystring on the end (it was www.blahblah.com?something=stuff&this=that etc..) I just added &bllx=1 (bollocks = 1 ) and it now sees it as a new URL.
If you're not particularly techie, that might sound like gibberish to you, so if anyone ever comes across this thread and wants advice, send me a private message, as I'll probably miss it if you ask on here.
Hey guys, I searched around for this and hit nothing but dead ends so if there is an answer out there please link to it and leave it at that
BUT, what I want to do is remove entries from my "share" menu that comes up in Gallery and other places, mine is so freaking full that MMS isnt even listed there and I want to get rid of the ones I will never use!
Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
I rooted my GS5 recently and nothing went wrong but when I uninstalled a root app the short-cuts on my keyboard disappeared. By that I mean that my keys on my keyboard normally had short-cuts on them that could be activated by holding the key for 1 second but ever since I uninstalled the root app they disappeared and now I have to go to the other tab on the keyboard to use my short-cuts. Its not a huge deal but its something I got used to and now that its gone it feels weird not having the option. Btw the app I deleted was the one I had to install to get Xblast Tools and Wanam but I cant remember the name of the app. Any help would be appreciated
Restore your backup to fix everything with two or three clicks.
If you aren't making backups, now you know why you should start doing so. Root is very useful but also gives you the power to cause greater damage. You should for instance never delete an app, just rename it so that you can revert changes if you need to.
I have no idea what app you are alluding to. Perhaps someone else will recognize it. Or you could break down and do a search. No doubt if you try a handful of different keywords you would quickly identify the app that you want. It's a good habit to always search before posting a question anyway. Often it gives you an immediate answer. And at the least enables you to pose better informed questions.
