If you follow the steps correctly in Recovery, then you should see the whole directory listed of you SD card. If you don't see this, probably your SD card is defect. Try with another card.
Good luck.

I did nvflash for second time but some problem. this 16gb sd that i am using was an old sd from my hd2, i did a partition and extension in the recovery during the time i use the hd2. so i wonder if that affect it?
so far i didn't take any steps beside 1: redid the nvflash, i choose the internal sd and nand option.
AS USUAL
WIPE WIPE WIPE
wipe data
wipe cache
wipe dalvik
back to main screen
mounts and storage select format/system
install rom from sd card
Install gapps
Reboot enjoy
If coming from previous version just wipe cache and dalvik

i got to the step install rom from sd card, that was where i don't see the rom in the root directory. i only see certain folders in the recovery that are in my sd, still not al lthe folders that was in the root though. so i tried to put some rom zip file in those folder that visible in recovery but i still cannot see it.
so they are couple things i did but it not a solution. what should i do?
thanks

okay i realized i nvflash with internal option so i though i should put the rom into internal and it work. all these time the recovery was viewing internal sd the 5GB

I am STUCK

Stuck trying to make sure a2sd is working... I moved the zip to the SD, partitioned it, upgraded to ext3, and now I am trying to flash the damn zip and it keeps saying there's no zip files found. SOmeone help please? Really dont wanna have to boot up for nothing...
you need to put the zip back on your sd when you put it on there THEN partitioned it formated the card hence the zip got erased. either reboot and add it or boot into recovery and use the usb mass storge option.
Lol! You should've flashed the zip then partitioned. Partitioning wipes your SD card so of course there is no zip to flash!

you put the zip on
...and then partitioned?
Yeah, apparently I followed some idiot directions... this is why I would rather ask people first than do a damn search. Here's the quote form the thread I followed:
1. (Optional) Download A2SD version 2.5: http://www.darktremor.com/files/misc...2.5-signed.zip. Save the file to your SD card. If you don't want to download this version, skip this step.
2. Reboot the phone into recovery mode.
3. Partition the SD card by selecting Partition SD Card -> Partition SD.
4. Once you have partitioned it, press the back button to go to the main recovery menu.
5. If you downloaded the A2SD version 2.5, flash the program by selecting Flash zip from scard -> a2sd-2.5-signed.zip. Otherwise, skip this step.

I thought that was fishy, so after I partitioned, I pushed the file back onto SD (which is really not empty after the ext2 to ext3 upgrade, or partition ffor that matter)
After I re-pushed the zip, I tried to flash it but still says no zip found. So, I go into adb... here's the results:
Code:
You stupid ****er... dont have 2 phones connected at the same time!
If your SD is not empty after partitioning, you did something wrong. That will wipe your SD card.
Download the file again. I used the same link and his directions and it worked fine.
crap... now adb wont even recognize the device as attached
ok point me somewhere so I can go back to complete stock and re-root and reinstall DC. I am aggravated and not playing around anymore.

-adb kill_server
-adb start_server
-plug phone in, wait for it to do its thing

tried that and didnt work, i just let the thing boot regular and logcat worked, so adb recognized it again after it began booting. Show me a ROM that's clean, everything works for the most part, and doesnt force me to wipe everything on each update and I'll be flashing it now, after I RUU.

I think there is a lost+found folder that is created during format. That's true for all ext2/ext3/ext4 partitions.

[Q]Update fixed Clockworkmod isn't working

Update fixed the SD was broken I don't exactly know why but it explains everything so thanks for all your help and sorry for not being very
clear.
Hi I'm having issues with clockworkmod.
See the problem is while trying to flash cyanogen mod I was getting the endless loop so I kept
at it until I managed to flash it. The problem is I flashed Cm6.1.0 so easy fix right? Well I thought so too until clockworkmod wouldn't find the zip. So I tried nandroid and it again couldn't find any zip so I checked the partitions menu and clockworkmod had mounted the
Sd card and the cache. So I unmounted both and still nothing so I looked at the setting's again and it remounts the cache and sometimes the Sd card. Well my problem is worsened by
the fact that the version of cyanogen mod that did flash doesn't have the market or flash.
Any help will be welcome. HTC aria.

With CM 6, the Market is in the GoogleApps zip which must be installed after the ROM.
Also Flash 10.x does not run on the Aria; the CPU is not supported by Adobe.
Well clockworkmod won't find any zip not even nandroid and so my problem deepens so now can't get the market crap.

Some of your terminology in your post is very confusing. First of all, ClockworkMod will only find ZIP files that are copied to the root directory of your SD card. If you copied them to a folder on your SD card, CWM will not find them.
Second, Nandroid is a backup and restore utility and it does not use ZIP files. It creates backup folders on the SD card under /clockworkmod/backup and contains image files of the various partitions on your phone.
So what is the exact state of your phone? You stated that you have flashed CM 6.1? If you boot your phone normally, does CM 6 start up and are you able to use your phone? In order to install gapps.zip file to get the Market app, copy the gapps.zip file to the root of your SD card and see if ClockworkMod can install it. BTW, in CWM you are select "install zip from sdcard" and then "choose zip from sdcard", right?

Thanks for correcting my misinformation. I guess the root location only applies to "update.zip", right?
Yup. And it actually must be named "update.zip"
Oh crap I just formated the boot partition and now my phone won't boot at all!
It still won't find any zip. What now? Is there any way to restore clockworkmod?

Are you copying the zip files from your PC to the sd card? Have you tried downloading a ROM zip file directly to your SD card using your phone's browser?
I have exactly the same problem...Clockwork will not see any .zip files....even tried mounting usb storage from cwm, it mounts and the zips are there, yet it can not find any of them when i try to find them (all are in the root of the sdcard)...any ideas?
So if you pick "choose zip from SD" you can't manually pick a zip?
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
Found a solution:
1. Get SD card formatter from HERE
2. Plugin your phone (as USB drive), start up the application and format the card (default options selected) NOTE: backup your SD card to your PC first (obviously)
3. Unplug the phone (or put it into charge mod, whatever)
4. The phone should now try (and fail) to mount the card...go to the SD options and format the card using the phone function
The .zip files should now be visible in ClockworkMod Recovery (it worked for me and a few others as far as i know)

[Q] Installing Elitemovil Blade_Rom 2.3.4 [rc] (r11_v3)

----- Installation with DarkTremor. -----
We started the ClockworkMod, we Wipe data / factory reset, Wipe cache, then we enter an advanced Dalvik Wipe Cache and the battery is 100% Battery Status do a Wipe if we do not proceed to make ext3 partition. Advanced, partition SD Card, 512 or 1GB and select Swap 128MB (Remember that after partition the SD to copy the rom on the FAT), after doing all that, select the rom to install and expect to complete the process. Once finished the installation process, restart the phone and wait for it to boot the system.

I have a question about the installation procedure: apologies if I have not understood properly, but is the installation of Apps2SD and the creation of an ext3 partition on the SD card essential for this ROM to work, or is it optional?
Thanks in advance.
(I would have posted this in the main thread for this ROM but as I'm a n00b here I can't post there yet).
It's optional but interesting takin into account the small amount of internal memory of the blade.
You can install it without ext3 partition, and after that add the partition and set-up a2sd when you want.
But, IMHO, put empty sdcard onto blade, partition it through CWM, take out the card (dismounting it...), copy ROM to card, put the card into blade and flash the rom.
Regards.

instalation is done via cwm by wiping factory and cache

[Q] Formart /sdcard

So I want to wipe/format my Internal memory/SD Card to make it all fresh and clean again (too many unused/leftover folders). So my question is, what will happen when I click the Fomart /sdcard on CWM? Will it delete all the files and folders in the sdcard? Will the ROM still be there after I format the sdcard? If the ROM is no longer there, how can I push a ROM to the sdcard after I format it?
If there is another way to wipe the whole sdcard without manually selecting each folder and deleting it, how to do it?
P.S. I have copied the sdcard to my computer already.
Thanks for the help!

From what I get from his explanation in the OP is that, it just wipes the same things as if I were to do:
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- wipe dalvik cache
- format /system
- format /data
- and wipes some other stuff on the sdcard
am I correct?
What I want is to make the whole sdcard/internal memory clean like when I first bought the N4 and root/unlock the bootloader and install the recovery. I do not want all the folders like the goomanager, foursquare, romtoolbox, etc folders because I do not use those apps anymore.

Every time !! Arghhhh

Okay,, i have a note 10.1 n8010 and EVERYTIME I FLASH a rom i cant install any apps and it says insufficient storage, I do everything step by step, I don't understand, I just don't understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can someone please explain me why this is, i wipe everything before doing a update etc...

Try following the below steps as per smaw51 recommendations :
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
mounts and storage/ format /data
mounts and storage/ format /system
mounts and storage/ format /cache
advanced/ wipe dalvik cache
Repeat a couple times for good measure
I have already tried those steps as I found them online and it does nothing, I always have to delete everything and then return to stock ... I just don't get it >

Oops accidentally thanked you for this post.
Anyways, I have found that wiping data from recovery doesn't clear download files and such. Download Astro File manager and see what is taking up most of your internal memory. I found personally that .zip files and a few things like that were taking up oodles of storage space. Also, when yuo do a CWM backup, do the backup to the External SD card, that way it doesn't take up app space.

like 7gb? and external is 4gb because i have a partition, but the partition in my case is irrelevant because before when I didn't know about link2sd I still had this problem, but everyone else seems to flash roms daily with no issues lol?

I believe reading this thread and taking a few tips has fixed everything!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908711&page=2
I strongly suggest you flash a stock rom using Odin and clear everything. If you still have problems with the stock rom on your tablet return it for warranty repair. My feeling is though it is something you are doing. So once back to stock (out of the box) reinstall apps one at a time - avoid apps to sd and installing them on external memory. I don't believe that can be necessary!
