I had to do a master reset on my HD2 and have gotten everything back to the way it was and working fine EXCEPT that I am not able to sync Facebook pictures to my phone contacts. Has anyone else had this issue and fixed it? Please share your expertise.

Hi
I have a "problem" with contacts and autoupdate.
I have configured activesync to get the contacts from gmail, but when they sync it, I can only see one contact with their photo. Others doesn't appear.
I have tried to sync contacts with activesync and outlook contacs, with gmail account and with booth, but I can only get the photo of one of them.
Anyone knows how to solve that?

I was wondering of someone knows how to do this. I looked everywhere for the answer. I just today deleted all my contacts from gmail because it kept like 4 of each person on there. I want to sync again, i tried this morning to do it but it just wont. How do i manually sync with gmail so get the contacts back on there? Thanks

Nope it seems to be working fine here. Do you have the Facebook app installed (i have 1.3)
Are you logged in? Also check your 'Accounts & sync settings'
i am having this issuse as well, only a few of my facebook contacts have there picture next to it, the majority is only the default android grey box.... i have no clue how to get my default pics from my friends there...
I like to try new ROMs and my ringtones are all on SD card. 2 problems.
1. Although Contacts get synced with Google just fine, ringtone for contact does not get synced. Is there any fix or program for that ?
2. Seems to be that after syncing Contacts with Google all contact's pictures look blurred. Like they lost resolution. Any idea for fixing that ?
Only when you sync with outlook the picture would not be fuzzy. Don't know about the contact's ringtones.
Resync a few times for image. If you have many ppl it will not sync all at once.

They resync fine. It is just pictures are blurry. I really do not want to go Outlook route - too many problems with duplicates. At least that has been like that with WM
Am i missing something ? for some reason i cant get my facebook contacts (account) photos to synch up with my google /phone contacts and merge them together. previously on my HTC Evo this was done automatically and i had the option to sync all contacts, sync with existing contacts and this would allow peoples pictures to synch up properly. Is there something with the N4 thats different thats not allowing me to do that. thanks for the advice

This phone doesn't have native Facebook integration as do HTC phones, it's vanilla android after all. So its an issue with the Facebook app and eventually Facebook will fix it but don't hold your breath waiting for them they are slow. Most of my contact pictures synced up but I had some that refused to so I downloaded the app Contact Sync for Facebook and problem solved. This is the best sync app for Facebook I've seen.
