Ok, now that Beezy's post at Android Central has been locked, what's going on with ICS for the NS4G? I just read that the Eris has a port? Don't know if the Ice Cream has melted or if I'm looking in all the wrong places. Any info for the 4g version would be appreciated.
I hear koush is making a Rom but idk if its for the ns4g

We wait for the official release unfortunately. Has anyone had any luck flash back to gb from ics with a no wipe?

Wth would switch significantly different roms without a full wipe?? That doesn't make any sense at all.

First rule of Android Club, Don't ask for ETAs.
we have a team of awesome developers. I'm sure they working to get ICS to our phones. I know the development staff over @ Cyanogen will be working on this, and i'm sure Evil_Dee's team has something up their sleeve. Just wait and be patient. I'd rather wait a few weeks longer and have a fully function OS, than to have a port and have several major bugs.

And yeah, it was a nice turnaround from source drop to a first "stable" alpha... still gotta get the goodies in, but it's coming along very nicely.

Yeah, at this point, it might as well be known as AOSP Source Build [insert number].
Not to diss it, but nothing really differentiates any of these ROMS.......yet.

There is a port of koushs builds for the NS4G, so I'm not sure why only tmo users are lucky hah.

if you have the ns4g you need to download the port of his rom in the nexus s 4g forum. The non port is ns3g only. And at the same time I urge you to try aosp's ics rom, it is more complete mms works, GPS, etc just don't expect to find 4g working on any ics rom at the moment.

Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S(our phone! ) are the only two phones getting a version of ICS optimized BY the Google Team.
Huawei take the source from AOSP and fit it to their mediocre phone.
It's an easy choice..
Who knows?

The device Is very capable of handling ics just like nexus s.. I think its all revenue. Be it so your better off rooting and flashing ported ics Rom.and I think Febycv is doing a wonderful job.y Yes a lot of people are excited about ics. Its the latest android development release. So if you like android phones then you should be excited about its latest release.

Agree that its capable of running it. Can you imagine what ICS mysense will look like though?
Its a pity, the myTouch 4G seems to be even more capable than the Nexus S because of the 50% more memory... I myself am looking to switch from a Galaxy S series phone to the myTouch 4G because of the crazy amount of swapping going on because of the small amount of RAM...
The myTouch 4G is basically an HTC Sensation without the 2nd core, but with dual core mattering so little at the moment, it really does suck that the myTouch won't get an official update...

Yea, HTC will take FOREVER if they do make an ICS update for this phone...
plus it'll be mysense too, so you're better off flashing a port. mysense is so bad IMO. I think sense is bad period.
