My friend bought an Arc day before, He was running 2.3.2 but flashed a root image for 2.3.4, his phone was stuck on the Sony erricson boot screen. He tried flashing a firmware after that using flashtool, the flash stopped at loader and gave an error, now his phone is not showing anything on the screen, it only gives a short vibration on pressing the power button, how do we bring it back to life?? :-/ Please help!! :-(

Nothing else to do than try flashing one of the images/kernels using fastboot.
I screwed my Arc S up and it display the same issues as your friends Arc.
I recommend trying to flash using Wotanserver. It cleared my problems.
Select repair in SEUS to bring it back to a std config to begin with.

That's the problem, You should have first flash the ftf then rooted image. Try to flash the Kernel (DoomKernel) then flash one of the stock based custom ROM.
These are the ones:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1325640
or

I would recommend arconium 1.1 because I found it has less effect on battery.

Hey guys,
When XXLPY got release i got it and updated my GNote. Yesterday i decided to unroot it. Everything was ok until i kept getting FC in most of the apps (i read it was normal but it started to get really annoying). So i tried to flash XXLPY back - accidentally i flashed a GS2 stock room and my screen went black. I installed XXLPY again (this time the real one) but that didnt fix the problem.
I can get it into Download Mode, i can get calls, listen to music. everything seems to be ok other than the screen.
any ideas.
thanks in advance for the help.

since your downlosd mode is fine i will suggest you revert to gb to clean up your environment, then decide which version to go from there.

You may have flashed bootloaders with the GS2 stock ROM. Find a note ROM that includes note bootloaders and flash that using Odin.

First of all, recently im seldom visit n7000 forum since I has upgraded to n7100. Now my n7000 using by my wife.
Last week malaysia jelly bean firmware has been out. All my friends and colleagues are upgrade thru kies.
Unfortunately something happened. 2 of my colleagues called me for sos at the same day. ( the 2nd day after upgraded). Both told me stucked at note logo. They both passed the devices for me and check whats the problem.
1st devices.
- completely stock and ugraded to official jelly bean firmware thru kies.
- failed to boot into recovery mode. Download mode ok.
- use odin flash stock ginger rom but failed at nand write start.
- sent to ssc and get mobo free replacement within 3 hours. ( under warranty.
2nd devices.
- completely stock and ugraded to official jelly bean firmware thru kies.
- totally no respond, unable to boot in any mode even using what kind of method, pull out battery and using spare battery.
-sent to ssc, get replied from ssc within 1 hour and need replace mobo with all cost rm740.50.
Both of my frends told that they did NOTHING. But the devices automatically get turn off and another keep restart and stucked.
As my knowledge, this syndrome can be consider as sds, which great different as n7000 brick bug.
Im really wonder why this will happen. Is this related to jelly bean firmware which caused the sds occured?

Brought to you by the world's largest Android phone manufacturer, Samsung.
Im afraid what happen to both phone is what we called 'bootloop bug' on JB.. Stuck on N7000 logo and not going to Samsung animation.... happen when you pull out the bettery without properly power off the phone or when you make a force Reboot.. Its sucks when happened to average user, my phone also infected by bootloop bug...solved by flashing Philz kernel, Speedmod kernel or TWRP kernel by Ficeto...

Thanks for reply. I know about the bootloop bug. My n7000 previously also having the same bootloop issue before fixed method out. But now the case was different. Is refuse to boot in recovery mode. ( my both fren completely in stock recovery). And one of the affected devices was totally unable to manually boot into any mode..no download mode and no recovery mode.
And both devices confirmed by ssc was need to replace mobo.
Worst to worst ssc only give 1month warranty for the new mobo replacement.

Well my best advice that root your phone and change the kernel to a safe one like philz if you are using jb.

Ringgit Malaysia...Malaysian currency
I recently upgraded to JB using PC Odin and while fiddling around, got locked at boot screen. It no longer went to recovery mode but luckily was able to boot to download mode and I flashed Philz's kernel using PC Odin. Got phone working but with yellow triangle. Chainfire's remove triangle did not run in JB. So switched back to GB, removed triangle and back to JB with Philz's kernel ready in sd card to flash ASAP. So far so good.
As the title says - now available via Sony PC companion.
Downloading
It's not showing on the phone as an OTA.
If I do this update through the PC will I keep root (I'm on stock ROM and locked bootloader just rooted)?
Phil
I've got custom softkeys and PureXAudio mod also root access and Cwm recovery . If I want to flash this over would it work?
It would most likely get wiped.
Aaah smashing. Kept checking previously and nothing but yup just updated via Sony Bridge for Mac - found it straight away
Did the update through the PC companion.
Lost my root but just ran the script again to get it back.
Phil
I can't notice any change at all. Camera still taking 3 seconds to load. Nothing added or removed. Probably just the SOD fix.
Hope Sony eventually releases a fix for the camera. To leave it that way would be just painfully poor.

Yeah you're right, I was looking for bug fixes so didn't notice immediately the improved ui performance. If only they had fixed the camera thing. 3 seconds to load up is just painful to watch.

Hold volume up+ power for 15 seconds till you have 3 vibrations, this is like removing the battery and putting it back.
And try again.

Hey there how are you, I recently bought a I9505 version Galaxy s4 and have rooted it.
I just flashed a custom recovery through odin... apparently.... But I cannot actually boot into a recovery? Is there something wrong?
Also when I try some blue writing comes up..... Thanks
When you have powered off your phone, hold in the power button + home button + volume up button until you see the blue text in the top right corner that says 'booting recovery...' then let go of all the buttons and it should boot into your recovery. I remember when I first got the device I kept holding in the buttons for either too long or too little (I was used to the Galaxy S2). Hope this helps.

Hi,
I hope I made this in the right section but I've got myself into a really nasty problem and I know how to fix it after spending full 10 hours. Maybe this will help anybody.
I re-used my Arc after a while and learned about custom roms and all. I've updated to Stock 2.3.4 - Stock 4.0.4 - Ultrakitkat 2.0.1 - Stock 4.0.4 (back because of trying to compare performances between custom and stock) - Ultimate HD 5.0.1.
When going from Ultrakitkat to Stock 4.0.4, after a day I woke up and found my phone rebooting Android on a loop while in the wall-charger. Went to take a shower and the phone was dead.
Charger didn't work, put it on my laptop USB and went on, only to find the battery at 100%. When disconnecting the phone, it immediately went blank and didn't turned on. I've looked for this problem for so many hours and tried flashing my romand kernel for some time (including phone drops dead WHILE in flashing) and trying out different way's to connect and boot but nothing worked. Installed many battery tools and apps but still nothing.
I;ve searched a lot and didn't found any conclusion anywhere, but combining every information online I've solved it!!
Apperantly there is an error inbetween roms, that when you go from custom rom + certain kernels, back to stock rom, it stops recognizing the battery.
To solve this (for me it worked):
Flashtool stock TFT 4.0.4
Fastboot flash the LUPUSV16 kernel (the magic trick!)
Turn on phone, and put it on a charger for 15 minutes, it should start recharging somewhere and show the correct battery %
I wanted to use the Ultimate HD just for a try and when flashing (I use Advanced Stock Kernel) + Ultimate HD
DO NOT WIPE BATTERY STATS! This will recreate the problem.
This worked for me and I hope this will help someone too who's thinking there is a problem with the battery.
Mostly reflashing the kernel does the job

Guys worked for me
Flash rush kernel after downgrading and tada its done.
Its just coz rush recognizes the hardware chip algorithm for battery stats
