Hi! I'm bran new here. I have a nook color I'm trying to reroute with an SD card and bought a Nook how to Manuel that says how to reroute it. I'm on the create a disk image section. After selecting a specific file I downloaded I'm suppose to burn or write it to my computer. After selecting it I choose the DVD r driver letter Drive E (only option) and then select burn. Nothing happens. It says the selected disc image isn't valid. I'm not a computer idiot but, I'm far from a computer genius. My SD card is in the adapter and USB card reader/writer thing. So I'm confused. Y doesn't it write/burn? Does anyone else have this problem? What do I do? I've searched alot for the answer but, no luck. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I have Blackstone and today something weird happened. When I try to access my SD card, it does shows 10-15 folders and then SD card disappears. I have to reboot my device to see it again, but same thing occurs when I try to access it. So I can't fix it (due to possible filesystem errors) at all. I did search the forum but couldn't find anything. Has someone else experienced this? Or someone knows the workaround?
Thanks in advance.
"The Storage card won't be displayed in the device's file explorer when connected to a pc in disk drive mode"
I don't know if that's your case.
I have exactly the same problem! No my device is not connected to a pc.
I´m using Duttys HD WM6.5 R3.
Rom Date 01/07/09
When I open the back cover and reinsert the microsd, the card appears again.
But upon exploring the microsd, it dissapears again.
I can´t acces my microsd!

There's no solution for it. Just installed "Storage Tools" for ppc and formatted the card. It's working now. I think something happened by Linux's emulated FAT support with this card. But I dunno, there's no solution for it.
@scorp987: Just format and then try SD card recovery tools for pictures and personal data.
@jonajuna: I can't find any solution there but thanks for the link
Solution for your issue was to format card

This morning I've noticed that some of the Folders on my sd card as recognized as files, when using ES File Explorer. Few minutes later my phone notifies me that SD card might be damaged and in might need to be reformated. At first I've tried to put sd card in adapter end put it into my laptop, Laptop has rezgoinzed it like Removable Disk but I cannot access it, when clicking left clik on removable disk or right clik, my windows explorer freezes. When I look into Device manager, there is displayed exclamation mark next to the device, and description says it cannot be started. I've already tried 5 different recovery programs every single one freezes when trying to recognize card.
Any solutions or suggestions, except buying a new card??
Anybody?
I had the same problem a few months ago and the only solution is to format the card... I know how U feel about that, I lost a lot of data from card too but what could we do
How did you format it? I can't format it on my pc...
I think I used phones format option for that.
Nope when try to format it in phone, nothing happens. I guess my card is dead. To bad I lost my warranty receipt, no I have to buy new one instead of getting it one for free
Okay here is what I have. I originally purchased a Droid X. I returned it and got the Droid 2. I took and backed up all the info from the SD Card on the Droid X. I then took that same info and copied it to the Droid 2 SD Card. Everything works great no problems. I then take the Droid 2 and connect it to my PC and it recognizes it being connected but when I put it to "usb mass storage" option it continously bounces from "unmount to mount" and "preparing sd card". I formatted a new card copied everything from the existing card and attempted to connect with the same result. I then pulled the card and formatted it, did not copy anything to the card, plugged it in blank, attempted to connect to PC with the same result.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!
Here is where I am at this point...
I deleted all drivers associated with my Droid 2 (A995). Here is a link with those instructions that I used
Remove Unused Drivers and Devices (can't post link/new member, sorry / if you copy the name and do a search you can find it)
I downloaded and installede the drivers from Motorola from this link
USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola, Inc. USA (can't post link, new member, sorry / if you copy the name and do a search you can find it))
I connected my Droid, the PC recognized and installed all drivers necessary. I set my Droid to USB connection and the phone continued to "prepare SD card". I then changed my USB setting to "Debugging" and then PC recognized that change and my micro sd card drive popped up to open.
TADA! I now have access to my card with the Droid connected via USB.
Sounds complicated for such a simple process! Am I missing something? And does the phone have to be in DEBUG mode in order for the PC to open my sd card?
I will keep things posted if changes are noticed.
Does Elocity A7 support NTFS file system? I have problems accessing my USB stick which is formatted in NTFS...or something else may be an issue !?!. In any event it can not read it...any suggestion?
Regards
Upgraded firmware and now when USB memory stick is plugged in I am getting a message the it is being checked for errors....but data on it so far cannot be accessed...Anybody else has issues with reading memory stick thru USB port?...SD card works like charm...
Regards
When I first got mine I was using my key which is fat32 and ran into the same problem. I had to reset the device before I could use my usb stick again. Haven't tried an NTFS usb device but either way it's not on the a7 to support NTFS, it is Android's task.
It would be interesting to know if other people had problems of accessing USB memory stick...for me memory stick would be much easier mean of exchange software/data between PC and Elocity than microSD.
Regards
I found out that if memory stick is formated as FAT32 then Elocity has no problem reading it...
USB memory stick
I have no problem accessing my USB stick, my problem is transfering the data like music or movies into folders which Elocity a7 doesn't allow me to do.
I have tried coping and or moving files i.e., songs, movies, am I doing something wrong or is there a right way to do it?
You can copy files from USB to SD card...only file by file not directories
The other way is to pull out your SD card and copy files on it using adapter on your PC
The third way is to use application which lets you access your Elocity using your browser on your network which will then allow you to copy files to/from device
Regards
My a7 originally could mount and read the sd card and the usb drive. Then one day it suddenly would not mount the sd card and it always said it was checking for errors. I tried a wipe and restore, formatting the card, and a different card. None of it worked. Finally I loaded Dexter's 1.41 mod. The mod worked great but the sd card still couldn't be mounted. And then the usb drive gave me errors and one time would work and another time it says preparing storage checking for errors. Right now neither the sd card or the usb are being mounted. After 4 emails to elocity support I am pretty frustrated with this unit and thinking of just ordering an ipad.

Do you apply the vold patch with 1.41? Also you have to have a folder/directory sdcard/sdcard-disk (sdcard-disk) is the one needed. This still won't allow card to be read from boot other then applying zips with sysrecovery. It has been mentioned before in another thread if your not running elocitys FW you can't really complain about it to them.
If that folder/directory isn't created it won't read with the patch. USB also has something about it. Read up on this thread.

Hello, I'm new here and I did experience some sort of USB or MicroSD issue where the eLocity unit did read the USB at first and then the next time I put the USB flash drive it cannot read it, no matter what I do. Then I hit the reboot key at the back using a pin or something sharp and I tested both drives and it did read them.
I learn that before removing the USB FD you need to dismount by tapping the connection icon to safely remove the USB. You will then receive a message to confirm the removal of USB drive.
I hope this help.
Peace....
Ok, I have CWM and I can access it. I cannot read from my External SD Card to install a rom. I can access my Internal SD but I do not have a rom in there.
I cannot boot into the previous ROM since I erased everything and when restarting I get boot loops. I need the tablet to get back to work tomorrow.
Any help would be greatly apreciated.
I have a ROM downloaded in my PC but when I connect the A500 to the PC (via USB) I cannot mount it to copy it there and flash.
HELP please!!!
What version of CWM do you have. I think the new one can install ROM from USB drive. Also try reformatting the SD card in a PC in FAT32, some time its just that and some time tablet is picky what SD card it can read and what it cant.

I was able to put the SD Card from my phone and flashed the new rom. The tablet is sill not recognizing the SD Card though. I put it on my PC and it wont detect it (cant format it that way). I put it on my printer and I am able to read from it but I cannot format it. It tells me that is right protected.
I need to find another way of formatting it.
Thanks for your help.
I suggest you get a new sd card. Clearly the one you're trying to use is not working.
I'm not even sure if you can "write protect" an SD. Maybe something on the micro SD adapter perhaps (switch)? Or an option in Windows Explorer (check the sd's "properties". If it says "write protected", then turn it off.
