If I am in the text messaging screen in landscape mode, and close the phone into portrait mode, the screen does not completely rotate.
The top portion of the screen switches, and the bottom menu bar switches, but there is a section about 1/3 the size of the screen that remains in landscape mode until I close the text message program.
It only does it in texting, no other programs cause this problem with the screen, and it has only started doing it since I hard reset the phone.
Any help??
Yeah, texting does some strange stuff for me too. Sometimes when I push the button to select the contact i want to text it takes quite awhile for it to bring up the texting screen. And yes, same as you on the switching from landscape.
hmm.... That's wierd. I cant seem to find anything else relating to this problem
i am having the same problem also.. but recently it stopped.. idk wuts going on?
well, i figured out what the problem was with mine. It was doing it because I hacked the registry for the SIP to completely kill the pop-up keyboard. After re-enabling it, no more screen issue.
I have CE OS 5.2.19199(build 19199.1.0.0) on my Wing and I have been searching for a fix for this issue didnt know if anyone else has experienced the same thing. When I open up text or setting or pics or anything with a scroll bar on the side the first time I tap on anything it scrolls all the way up or down randomly. Does anyone have this problem and know of a fix. Have just been dealing with it but gets annoying.
I have the same problem with opal. I think you should align screen frequently.
Hi,
I have observed in a few apps a certain problem: Some apps don't support the NST side buttons, so I scroll by swiping my finger over the screen. In most apps this works.
But there are a few where it does not work properly: Somehow these apps seem to have a problem interpreting my swipe correctly. Sometimes they correctly interpret it as attempt to scroll down, but very often they will also interpret it as an attempt to scroll up, even though I am making the same movement. This way reading a long article is really annoying because you always get sent back to the top of the article.
Apps in which I have observed this: Wapedia, International Herald Tribune, Read It Later (this last one does not exist anymore, as it has been replaced by "Pocket" which does not work on Android 2.1).
All of these apps seem to show exactly the same problem, so I suspect a common cause.
Did anyone make similar observations or maybe even has an idea for a fix?
Thanks!
I have the same problem for some apps. If I do long swipe up most of the screen there is no problem.
But it is annoying when I forget.
This has happened twice today. I am using the phone and the voice typing display will not go away. I can use the phone.. .i can go to the homescreen, open apps, look at settings, etc, but i cannot close the voice prompt, and i can't use it.
It essesentially makes the phone useless until i reboot.
I am not sure why it is doing this. Not rooted nor unlocked or anything.. just stock.
The other thing it is doing is that sometimes when i wave my hand over the screen i will see the unlock screen. it will have the time and a lock icon below it ... if i touch the lock icon, it moves to a lower (on the screen) position and when i re adjust to hit the lock again it moves back up. Not sure how to screen shot this... maybe a video from a different phone.
when this happens, it will unlock by pressing the power button. I think this has something to do with the smart lock. DAMN google for forcing you to have a lock when you use Android Pay. Never had this problem on my Note 4 with Wallet.
Anyway, any help on either of these bugs would be appreciated
ok, i can reproduce the bug.
can someone else try this to confirm?
- with the phone screen off have someone send you a text message.
- swipe up directly to messages. ( use the google one, but i am not sure if it matters.)
- reply to the message with a google voice typing
- hit the power button to turn off the screen.
- Have the person text you again.
- open message by swiping up to it.
At this point the tap to speak screen will be there and not go away until you reboot.
no one else?
here is a video showing the problem I can't believe I am the only one experiencing this

I can try it when I get my phone, but that's a few weeks away...
Hello,
I am suffering from a really annoying problem for the last month and I cannot find a solution. I have tried to flash several firmwares but the EPD navigation bar seems to become somehow irresponsibe making the phone quite unusable.
With LP EU (5.0.0-EU1.1.87a and 5.0.0-EU1.1.124b) the navigation bar on the EPD seems to be working on the YotaHub without problems, I can navigate and I can unlock the screen by either double tapping or sliding. However, when I enable the YotaMirror the screen is mirrored but the Navigation bar becomes somehow disabled so I cannot exit the application that is running. The only way is turning on the normal screen so the EPD goes back to the YotaHub (quite annoying).
With LP RU (5.0.0-RU1.1.124 and 134 sideload) the YotaHub works fine but when I enable the YotaMirror a message saying "YotaMirror mode is enabled" with a help message explaining how it works and two buttons "Skip" and "Continue" which do not respond to any action; making it impossible to leave that screen. The only way to get rid of this is going to the normal screen and opening the YotaHub settings. This error seems to be already reported by another user: https://forum.xda-developers.com/yo...phone-201-stuck-androis-5-0-ru-1-124-t3571739
In MM (EU and RU) the area of the Navigation bar, no matter if YotaHub or YottaMirror seems irresponsible to any actions; so I cannot move across the panels in YotaHub nor exit an application opened in YotaMirror.
I thought this could be a hardware issue but I have discarded the option knowing that in LP it works and in both LP and MM the double tap unlocking feature (once enabled) unlocks the screen even being tap on that area.
I will continue flashing firmwares and eventually come back to the version of LP that was working fine (I cannot recall which one was it so I am downloading and trying most of them). But any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Can you unlock the back display without doubletap? So by using the power button when the epd display is facing up. IE, does it still correctly sense which display is facing up?
Hi @tomgaga Thanks for your response.
I can unlock the screen with in every mode: double tap, swipe and power.
I can fully confirm that this is not a hardware issue, meaning that the screen gets the touches as I have just captured the events with adb and saw how the screen gets the input event on the area of the screen "YotaMirror is enabled" that allows me to "Continue" or "Skip". So the taps are registered but it seems that this notification doesn't seems to work.
Anyone knows how to avoid this notification? I think this could solve the issue...

I had this problem when using gravitybox from xposed and made an adjustment to the navigation bar. You got any mods installed?
@tomgaga , I didn't install xposed until now, I also tried to increase the size of the navbar with a mod but it seems to not doing the trick (I have the impression that the nav bar on the EPD doesn't get affected by this). When you had this issue did it go away by just removing the mod? Or you increased the size? However, I believe that after a full reset this should be gone...
Danke!

Yeah if you reinstalled the system images and reset the data, then any mod should be gone, but not if you just did a factory reset.
And the problem went away after I removed the mod yes.

Hi again @tomgaga. The thing is that I reinstalled the ROM many times and I did full factory reset every time, so for me it seems there is an issue coming from somewhere else... Thanks anyway for your comments.
