Dead on Arrival - awesome zombie game - Acer Iconia A500

Game just came out
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.n3vgames.deadonarrival&feature=search_result
Runs good on a500 running thor v14. The sound is pretty impressive

says in the market it is not compatible with this device, weird? (Thors rom)
---------- Post added at 03:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:45 PM ----------
could someone possibly post the apk file here?

says it isn't compatible with the a500 or the evo 3d...

Game looks awesome, however my device isn't supported.

Heres a link to apk. its version1.0 - the one in market is 1.1
Since game is originally free,i assume this is ok to post?
*edit: sorry heres the link http://www.multiupload.com/VAMTIT7BHO

nice game txs

Thank you very very much ^_^

Nice game, thanks.

it isn't being officially released for more devices until next month the dev said
to everyone who installed the file melcali uploaded. did that work? it force closes for me...

It FC on me the second time I ran it and was a bit slow at first but now its been working good.
Did u try a reboot and/or reinstall?

works fine! awesome game!
if only there's support for usb controller and multiplayer.

reboot got it working. hopefully by the time they release it officially for all devices they add in the ability to have usb controllers

Yea multiplayer would be awesome cuz I suck at this game

Its pretty good of a game. Reminds me of dead ops arcade speaking of which I hope they port CoD Zombies to android.

i know that a new 'combat arms: zombies'(cod clone) game is being developed right now. but i think its going to be on ios for a good while before an android version is set

Holy Jesus! Thunderbolt finally gets a Sense 3.5 ROM that's not dead! I can live with the easily changable themed statusbar, just kneaded please please I'm begging you and I'm sure others agree with me, don't theme this, and.if you do, have a stock option. I absolutely love stock sense 3.5 and I'm just stunned there's finally a new stock sense 3.5 Rom here! Thanks man!

How do I disable adblock? What do I have to remove from the rom? I don't like adblocks as they leave awkward rectangles just haaangin there and it looks silly imo. Not to sound like a ****, how do I remove it lol?

go to liquid tools under goodies > scripts > enable/disable and uncheck the ads block option.
Now that I finally got the ROM running, one more qestion (hopefully, lol) how do I change the spinning circle thing back to stock spinning gear thing? Take the systemUI from a stock Sense 3.5 rom is is it not that simple?
(And is there a reason why things in browser, have a grey outline to them upon selection? I'm all for different theme colors but that's just inconsistent with the green thing HTC has going on throughout the UI....)
So I really wanted to try this rom out but every time I try and install it says Installation aborted

I got a bad file error too. I used the main mirror first, trying the second mirror then going to try the install again.
I keep on getting "unsuccessful download" error message. I'm on 3g. It'll get to between 20 and 30% and then I get the message. Weird. Gonna keep trying.
First mirror DL is jacked twice didn't work but the second one is fine. Loving the rom so far.
Just an update, downloaded from the second mirror and installed with no issues, so perhaps there is an issue with the file from the first mirror.
Slight problem. Everything is still on my SD card but the phone isn't finding stuff. any ideas? Thought maybe it might be bad but if I plug my phone in and connect as disk drive I still have everything.
Edit: never mind now it just found everything after freaking out. Guessing it just needs some time to let everything settle.

How long did it take to find everything? I'm still not getting anything found...
So this rom has ALOT of potential! If I may input advice, I'm not gonna comment on the settings scrolling lag cause I'm sure you're already working on that, but what bugs me is the few hints which have been customized. Am I the only one that prefers 100% pure stock (Though, I do love the utilities you've built into it!) I'm not syaing you're bad at theming, I'm just a picky mofo XD And the only stock Sense 3.5 rom on the Thunderbolt is that Vigorate rom which, that rom thread is basically dead now lol
And besides settings, jesus christ this rom is fast! Good work!

[INFO] Drew Garin's ICS Flavours; On Screen Buttons and Hardware Buttons - Alpha

Hello All,
Here is Drew Garin's ICS AOSP builds on his main site, it comes in two flavours:
No onscreen buttons and, onscreen buttons.
The onscreen buttons build is the same experience you will have on the Galaxy Nexus. Drew states that this build it more stable, and recommends this build if you want a solid ICS experience.
The no onscreen buttons build works as you would expect. It takes advantage of the Nexus S hardware buttons.
I will quote everything from his site below
What Works:
Nearly Everything!
USB and ADB
3G Data
Audio
Hardware Accel
Camera, Panorama
GPS (Unconfirmed currently I’m in a 13 story brick building)
Face Unlock
Wifi
Bluetooth
Tethering and Hotspot
Data Usage
NFC
Pretty much everything
Not Working:
Camcorder
Not all applications are currently compatible with ICS on Crespo. As a work around you can always use appbrain or download from the internet.
Download With On Screen Buttons (Overall Stable):
mirror 1: http://www.multiupload.com/BWE16F2YTH
mirror 2: dg-ics-on-screen
Download No Buttons (Experimental):
mirror 1: http://www.multiupload.com/TESISLS5MV
No Button Build Issues:
Tethering and Hotspot Does Not Work
There May Be Some Other Issues
On Screen Is More Stable
GITHUB: (link coming soon when all sources are up)
Kernel Credit Of: Kwiboo (for the time being until my kernel is done)
Wifi and Bluetooth Fix Credit: Kwiboo
Install Instructions:
Boot into Clockwork Recovery
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache
-wipe dalvik
-install from zip
-reboot and enjoy!!
Notes:
Do not turn on 2D acceleration on in settings -> developer.
In spare parts turn off compatibility mode and restart for downloaded apps to work better in ics.
Need a root explorer like tool? I suggest using jrummy’s root browser.
The On Screen Button Version doesn’t lag as much and provides that ICS smooth scroll you wish to see.

It should be noted!!!
1.I did not have any part in creation of this, all credit goes to Drew Garin, I suggest you visit his site for full details (Linked above).

I for one want to keep this thread civil.
If you don't like drew, don't donate, don't download his build, and don't post in this thread.
That aside I'm eager to see if scrolling has improved over kwiboo's version. Because other than that, kwiboo's is pretty damn near perfect.

Should I make a GB ROM FOR GAMING?

Yes Should I make One for Us Folks for Gaming Il make One for .62/69 I cant find a .42 download If you have One Il make One for Locked Bootloaders .
Basically Il make a rom On basis of this (Based on Sony Framework)
*Supercharged
*Launcher Locked In memory
*Turbo 3G
*Baseband -36
*KAK (Kickasskernalizer)
*Bloatware Removed all
*Google Apps (Market etc)
*Xperia Launcher & PS Pocket
*No-Frils CPU pre-Installed
*OI file manger Pre-Installed
*Remove all Crapware
*Try to stop market Downloading the Crapware Again
Ideas Comment Below:
Ideas for more feautures Commet below please
Name Of rom ? I thought GamerBread
Wow this sounds awesome I like the sound of it. if no frills comes preinstalled then it must support overcocking right? Yeah, definately make it compatible with Doomkernel and try and overclock the gpu. Maybe you could incorporate the playstation buttons as a way of properly controling it, like the xmb. Maybe just "GameBread" for the name. Shame you can't make it for .42 (thats me lol) would have been so cool. maybe it could come preinstalled with a bunch of emulators (Like gba and stuff like that)
If it's bootloader-locked, there's no overclock available. Same goes for anything related to the kernel: bootloader-locked devices can't have modifications done to the kernel.
But They Can Change ther Governer,
Plus I'l make it Smooth No choppy Apps

Yes Il Find a .42 Download But Im going to Have to See about those EMU's are they Free?
Links anyone for Gamboid.
A Gaming ROM would be nice, but I don't see the point of making a ROM with just that... I already did all you listed in my Play and the performance is pretty much the same.
That does sound pretty cool. I'm not sure I understand the advantages/disadvantages of different basebands though and .69 vs. .64 vs. .42 etc., but it sounds like you're trying to optimize for the best Gingerbread base to support a smooth running system for gaming and all the standard stuff, which is cool.
Previously, on my Nexus One, I was willing to roll with CyanogenMod and non-stock customizations and all that, but now on my Xperia Play, gaming is a big factor as well - and from what I've seen, non-stock Roms like CyanogenMod lose a bit here - the Spider Man game from Gameloft failed to launch last time I was running CyanogenMod, so I've gone stock-based. I've also heard game compatibility isn't all there yet for ICS and there is still the debate whether an optimized and reliable Gingerbread system is better for a user than a new ICS rom that may not be as reliable/optimized yet.
So I think it may be a good idea, and I do like the GamerBread name!

Overclocking for locked bootloader is possible, but would take work, as locked bootloaders can not flash custom kernel, someone would have to compile overclock module for stock kernel.

By the way you can see SCR Pro at the end of the two videos.

I am a developer myself, I am writing this now as I build a shield tablet kernel....will be releasing that too, but I was just asking how you did it, what the process was, so I could try myself (as a developer) -- it's not that I want an unfinished product and really want you to port&release gmod, I am interested in how you programmed it.
Either way, cheers. Look forward to seeing your thread once development kicks off....it feels super lonely being a shield tab developer because there's like 3 others who all maintain stuff for other devices

Awesome. Looks like you've streamlined the port and installation, what kind of bugs are you tackling?
Come to think of it, us who are actually building stuff and getting the latest nvidia source and seeing what we can do with it....we should really have a chat or something. Do you have a skype or something maybe we can make a group for the 5 of us?
Wow this is awesome!!! Does this work with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse? Also, I know these ports run on different architectures, but do you think the Shield port could play online against PC users?

Maybe with the unofficial hacked versions of the game on PC. To play with the mainstream game, you need Steam integration
(SteamID, Steamworks, etc....), which is impossible since there is 0 Steam support for Android (Steam app doesn't include support for games).
But LAN should be possible in the long run.
