[Q] Help fellow android- APP2SD

Hey, is there any app i can use to directly transfer my apps to sd card without upgrading to froyo. I have an xperia X8 eclair, and the only reason i rooted was to move apps to sd.
The reason i dont wanna upgrade to froyo is because i like the eclair interface more and if i flash to froyo i loose all my current settings right.
Please suggest a way.

hi, i dont have xrecovery installed and i cant seem to install it either, i have astro and tit backup, will any of these do to install the zip fle given in the link

Need help!!!

HI everyone .Help!!! I found that the latest verson v021,First:I cant set the ringtone when I pressed it ,it will be forced to closed.Second,many of users feel great comparison of running speed but I have no such a feeling. Lastly,in v019 battleheart is claimed to run fine but in my case I cant install it in whatever v019 020 021 It will auto reboot.I know it may be a series of noob question but I sincerely seeking for help!! Please!! And sorry for my poor English

I'm guessing you refer to FroyoBread By Doixanh. Thy Full Wipe (factory reset) in xRecovery, whipe dalvic cache as well in advanced....

Thx for answering Some of the problems solved About the running speed I cant compare it because they seems to be same.About the installation of Battleheart ,it stills cantbe installed Same situation encountered

hi,you should inistall the rom again and must pressing full wipe and factory reset
becuse if the rom is runing the Previous version apps hf you stay to feel great go
to recovery menu and Hit the full wipe and factory reset then inistall the rom
to avoid the other problem
if you have question please ask

There are some battleheart versions on the net that are unable to install with FB (got reboots).
I got a battleheart v1.1 somewhere on mediafire and it's running fine.

Thx for the ans so much!!But may I ask a noob question? If my current version is v021b How should i do to correctly install the ROM again?? And I discovered that when i use titanium backup to restore the things The ringtone problem appears again Should i use titanium after i installed the ROM??

May i ask u a noob question?? How should i do if my current version of froyobread is v021? What should i do to "correctly installed the rom again"?? Pls ans me. I want to solve the problem as soon as i can.pls help...

Do exactly the same thing as with other ROMS
1) Download the ROM
2) Copy file to main directory in your SD Card
3) Reboot to xRecovery
4) Format system, format data, format cache and in advanced wipe battery stats and dalvik's cache.
5) Install custom zip, then choose downloaded file.
6) Full wipe and reboot.
USE SEARCH AND READ POSTS
P.S. I had problem with installations from market (I was unable to sign in to Google Talk). Full wipe helped.

Full wipe-option formats cache and data partitions. Other ROMS means floyo by racht, MiniCM etc.

U should try delete the 'smdl2tmp1.asec' file in '.android_secure' folder using Root_explorer. .

CWM vs xRecovery

Hi, im new here and i have a question. Iv been trying for answer in already opened topics but i cant found it.
What is difference between CWM and XRECOVERY??? I have already installed xRecovery, but i wanna try new DX rom which need to be installed with Cwm, so my question is can i install it and use instead xRecovery or i need both of them, because i wanna try GingerKrutz which required Xrecovery.......

Its ok, but at this time im using a stock 2.1 .... And i dont know what should i do, because i wanna try both DX 14 and krutz 7.4. First one need to be installed with CWM and second with xRecovery

If you are on stock 2.1 Install both CWM and Xrecovery at the same time using x8 toolbox: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117100
Tap on the screen at the SE logo for CWM, or hit back button on SE logo for xrecovery.
I'd do a complete backup with xrecovery then install either of the roms you want to try. restore the backup then try the other rom.

3.u can install dual recovery using x8 toolbox. however, i heard that installing dual recovery using x8 toolbox while using stock eclair ROM will require extra steps (which i dont really know and i cant confirm this). so i recommend that u just install a froyo ROM through xrecovery/freexperia and then use x8 toolbox if u want dual recovery.
4. if i understands right, u wanna install floyo by racht..? if yes, in racht's thread there is a clear instruction on how to do it but u need to know that some floyo ROM (i think v0.15 and below) can only be installed by using backup and restore function in xrecovery/freexperia. for floyo v0.20 and higher it is installed by using custom .zip function in xrecovery/freexperia.
(i dont really remember well coz havent gone to the thread for a while now, just read the thread back...the instructions are there)

[Q] sony w8 camera problem

I have rooted my phone with superoneclick and installed gingerdx cm7...but camera is not working now. I have tried fullwipe and unrooting,but no use .... I have tried market apps also,but still no use.... can anyone help me for this.. is there any camera fix.zip for this problem...

Describe the problem. Does it force close when you try to run it?

try changing rom. my friend had this problem and i helped him by first,flash another rom,then flash the rom u want.rmember to fullwipe

I have installed gingerdx with xrecovery

just download another rom ( dont care what rom) n install it using the given instruction. anyway, what version of gingerdx are u using? just so u know, v14 and above require u to install it using CWM. if u are using v14 or above, just reboot ur phone,tap the screen rpeatedly when the sony logo shows up until u enter cwm. there,full wipe,wipe cache and dalvik cache and try to re-install ur gingerdx again. try and see if that works

okay..i oso use w8 ..and heres how...
1.download any other rom(lets call it medium )( that is installable with xrecovery ) eg. GIngercruzt
2.install it like u installed DX (from xrecovery)
3.from the medium long press the close button and there will be a reboot button ..
4.click to clockworkmod (CWM)
5.and from CWM install DX
done
a tip...try not to bootload your w8 ...there might be some problems when bootloading w8 ..i just hardbricked my w8 yesterday while bootloading and now have to be serviced =(

I tried installing with cwm..but no use..
Now I tried restoring back to android 2.1eclair...still no use...
I think its problem with the rooting..any suggestions??

How to hard reset the phone ?? Will hard reset solve this problem??

i dont know how to help anymore. when it happen to my friend he was using gdx v17.then he came to me wanting to upgrade to v19. so i install v19 and the camera still fc. then i flash gingerxperia rom to his phone and i flash back to gdx. after that the camera works just fine.

started.. .
I tried unrooting to solve this
problem..but no use..I also tried the
following things.
full wipe with xrecovery,cwm.
Installed gingerdx v018,v019 ,v020 with
xrevcovery and cwm,
installed froyo bread,gingerxperia in the
same manner as above,
flashed x8 shakira using flash tool,
changed baseband versions,
repaired with Sony Ericsson update
service.
tried other apps like camera
360,camera fx etc..
In all these cases camera is force
closing..
I tried restoring back to stock rom 2.1
eclair...
still no use ...is there any fix
for this... PLS

When I check the folder 'data/data/com.android.camera' it contains only one folder named 'lib'.
Will be there any other files in that folder??
