Rumor: Myans predict ICS for Epic 4g - Epic 4G General

Myan calander ends in December 2012 which many belived marked the end of the world. Sprint has since confirmed it to be the lunch date of ICS for the Epic 4g. Mean while the curent Nexus of that year will be running Bananna Cream Pie!
Sorry was bored

Official ICS when Lime Pie is releasing on a Nexus device. Actually, Epic will be forgotten long before then.

Obviously I misspelled "Mayans" due to keyboard lag. This was depicted in Egyptian hyrogliphics on the Great wall of china in a New york sub station

Since this seems to have devolved into nitpicking, you misspelled "hieroglyphics." Just sayin'...

I was only curious. I wanna know if its because no one is working on it because they're working on cm6 or is there really something blocking it.
I don't mean to belittle the devs working on cm6, their hands are tied and this wasn't meant for them and I'm only waiting on mms to just flash it and never look back

Its garbage. Its a proof of concept. We had gingerbread booting on the epic like a day after its release, but not in a functional state. Why completely rebuild an OS when you can take what we have and make it as functional as possible. It would be a waste of dev talents to hand build a Frankenstein gingerbread when there is so much else to work on.

i'm so glad this thing won't have a keyboard... i'm annoyed with how thick the epic is at this point. my big concern right now is the whole CM7 thing... will sprint ask that this phones hardward is changed like the epic? it won't help us that sammy gave the CM team the source for the SGS2 if we don't have the same phone..
Why does AT&T get the keyboard variant of the S2 while Sprint (who has a "natural" daddy the Epic) get the keyboard-less version? Many people like the keyboard-less SII because of the thinness factor, but some of us who use our phone to type longer SMS/emails prefer a physical keyboard. In fact, that is what sold me on Epic vs the Evo. I hope Sammy has something in the works for those who want a physical keyboard - and it won't be a marginal upgrade.

Well my thinking is the only ones that will have a keyboard on Sprint is phones like the intercept. Don't get me wrong the intercept is ok for my son who isn't into tech stuff like me.
I started on the iPhone and att. The battery on the iPhone lasted a whole day for me and I never worried about FC on apps and modems. If the iPhone comes to Sprint I'm back to Apple. Otherwise, it's the epic touch.
I chose the epic over the evo because of the specs and screen. The hardware keyboard did not matter to me. If I knew the support with the epic was going to be like this I would have went with the evo! My wife has the evo and cyanogenmod and miui have been amazing!

It borrows heavily from MIUI, but it's incredibly customizable. You can customize your status bar, icons, lockscreen, Dialer, Font, SMS, Boot Animation, etc. It is also one of the fastest ROMs. The Music App tells you the lyrics.

It looked nice and all but I just wanted to know what is cm7 actually based off of..? Just gingerbread..?
And does anyone know if cm9 willl have all the cm7 settings..? like the ones that literally controlled every tiny thing in the phone? And gave headphones button options and other hardware button options for when playing music? Cuz that was the bestt feature to me lol I loved pausing and changing my music from my headphones instead of having to unlock my phone and change the song or pause it lol

CM7 is based off AOSP Gingerbread 2.3.7
CM9 is ICS 4.0.3
And yes there will be lots of options in CM9 as it nears a release candidate.

It is often a minor setting adjustment. If set too quickly the sensor drains the battery, if set too low..noticeable lag. Don't sweat the small stuff.
