[Q] Cannot install custom ROMS

Hello,
I have been an owner of an x8 for 3 months. I have rooted it and xrecovery installed and would love to get froyo/gingerbread on it. However, I have tried multiple roms, including floyo 2.2.1, and CM7 hackdroid. When I try to install floyo I get MD5 mismatch error and when installing CM7 I get stuck at the boot. Please help!

Remove overclock if you get boot loops. Check minicm thread for no-oc.zip.
Folders can not have spaces. Remove spaces and try again

Have you tried to do full wipe (factory reset) in xrecovery before installing?

Yes, I have tried that.

To remove OC flash this using xrecovery -> custom zip.
For md5 mismatch error, remove any spaces from folder name.

What's your baseband version? I know that floyo 0.25 (what i'm running) required a 015 version, for example. If you would try it on an older version it would result in boot loops.

Is there something wrong with my phone or haven't you typed your baseband version? You can find it here: (sorry, it's in Dutch) under "smalbandversie" you can read your version. You have to look for the last 3 numbers. On my system it's 015

And if yours is older than 015, you can flash it somehow. Otherwise you could install floyo 0.20 (if i haven't it wrong it's compatible with older basebands)

Sorry my baseband is ends in 006. but I have floyo 0.20

What we need is a video guide showing what to do, like a visual one (not just text) - On the lines of videos, a video guide showing how to change a rom would be nice.

Isn't something like that available on youtube? I recently watched a video where someone was explaining for example how to install xrecovery, busybox and then a custom rom on a droid

Hello, I do not have the latest baseband, I have the 006 baseband. Do you know any roms that will work with basebands other than 015? If so please post!

Maybe it's better to flash to 015 ?
Because you cant find one easily. And 015 versions should normally be more recent, thus more stable.

1- Cant detect any wifi wep n wpa

Hello i have gingerdx20.i try to install another kernel.but when try to flush with flashtool :Flashing aborted:Now unplug the device and power it on-Then go to application settings-turn on Unknown Sources and Debugging.i do all of this things but same problem.i try linuxxd and alf kernel.

Btw I have Arc knight Kernel for Pro (stock based), it works with stock based roms, so should work here as well.

you can flash it via mobile uncle tools or Sp flash tool and yes it will replace any other recovery which is installed in recovery partition.

Can't I flash it with cwm

Dude when I used the twrp recovery to check it out and then rebooted my battery drained 10 percent..... MAJOR BUG... it has never happened before.....

dude, there is no bug like that in TWRP, it is tested by Many Q700 Users. It must be a Problem with your battery. Try to Calliberate your Battery.

The two files are proof enough.......

This is a q700 problem not the recovery problem .. Whenever we reboot our phone battery drains

Cuz in almost all the marshmallow roms ram usage is very high and can't even use Chrome smoothly

Ram management is good , no lags at all.. And the rom is based on android 4.4 , so no lags because of the 3.4.67 kernal ..
