When I was buying the HD 2 I wondered about great games on it because of hw( snapdragon, 448 MB RAM etc.) but the game support and offer is very poor. I was searching the gameloft main site and i´m very angry, that there isnt any game like Iphone or Android as well. Why dont they develope also some good game with Open GL support?
Does exist any programm, which allows to install for example .apk games on my HD2??
I´ve recently read about developping "Android emulator" for HD 2, but I am not able to find some informations ´bout that.
THX for any answer.
there are some very good 3d games like nfs, experiment 13 and xtrakt
its a long way off but : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=651632

Because Windows Mobile 6.5 is a pretty much dead operating system now. It's being phased out, and companys are making little to no programes for it anymore.
Hi guys,
I'm new to the android development, and I want to sell apps through the Market.
But I don't know how much $Money/month I will get from Android Market.
I just want to ask, how much I will get if I make 1 simple 3D game like 'Speed Forge 3D', or 'Deadly Chambers' ??
Btw, thank you very much
Potentially, a living. Or great riches. Or close to nothing. Depending on the quality of the game as well as your marketing strategy.
Or work for someone else and let them handle publishing and marketing it. What kind of 3d game do you have in mind? What prior experience do you have?
probably pennies since the typical android user is all about freeeeeeeeeeeee
And I want to make 3D games that funny, & addicting to its users

I need to find information & research first about how much average Android Market developers get each month..
I know how to write OpenGL games in Windows/PC.
And I want to make 3D games that funny, & addicting to its users like Angry Birds, Chess, or something funny/entertaining.
(I dont expect that I can make sophisticated game like Raging Thunder 2 next month
So how much average developers (like me) make $money/month from Android Market each month ??

I think the question you're asking has been answered about as well as is possible. Your question is a lot like asking how much money you can expect to get from developing a new beer. It just can't be answered. We know nothing of your product quality or marketing strategy. For example, are you going to be using ads for income, charge directly, have a seperate free and paid version, what? If you're going to charge, how much?
Research for product viability is no simple task. That's what market research firms exist for. You would want to know things like total number of apps and total android developer income (possibly information you could find) to create your general average income/app. If you're lucky, you might even be able to find sources for share of income by app category, or average price paid per download and total number of downloads. At some point, however, you're going to have to put your prediction of app popularity into real numbers (market share % or downloads per day) in order to come up with your estimated income.
That, or you can just make it and hope for the best
Has anybody been able to play spiderman, or modern combat2, or splinter cell because i cant?
First time i tried it gave me an error when downloading content. I found out that sammy has a download policy so this was a no go. I then installed them on my htc desire and downloaded all 3 above games and tested them and they all work. I copied yhe downloaded content to my samsung hoping that my problem was solved. But for my suprise spiderman and modern combat2 started but they still want to download content and of course it fails. Splinter cell on the other side started the game but when i am in it doesnt show me any textures of the environment and everything is white.
So please someone help me.
I have to mention that the games were bought from my carrier's webpage and they all work perfect on my htc desire.

Modern combat 2 works fine for me. I got it from their web site tho not gamehub If I remember

I've got them all and they all work flawlessly. I bought modern warfare from the market, bought the others through the discounted ads that appear in angry bird, leading you to but the games from their site.

Did you buy the games from your SGS2? I sent my apks to a friend and he had same problems.maybe the original phones are registered upon purchase such that the apk will not work on other phones

99% of apps you obtain via Google Market or Amazon App Store or Gameloft/third party, are locked to either your google account, amazon account, or your phone/imei.
I really don't want to mess up with forum rules here, so I ask, is it ok to post a link to another forum's thread with Android's HD game releases?

sure, go ahead, as long as you don't sell those apps yourself there or that site contains warez, you should be fine. in general, links to shops or other forums are tolerated or (if helpful) appreciated.
just a quick note...buy games from wap gameloft website and its cheaper then buying from market.android...
got mine there...asphalt 6, lets golf 2, real football 2011
And all those are in 241 section as well so dollar something each.

First of all... i've got those games working fine on my phone + GTracing which also works flawlessly.
Bought Modern Combat 2 through the gamehub, but bought the other 3 directly from Gameloft from the website.
And another thing. Gameloft has a download policy, that reads the specs and model of yout phone, so the game is locked to the phone - therefore it does NOT work on any other phone, if you try to move the .APK. So if you change your phone, you have to buy the games again. They give the reason that they have to develop the games specific for the phones, as Android and Android-hardware is very fragmented (in which they have a point), and that cost them a lot of money - opposed to iOS, which is the same on all iPhones - which apparently is cheaper to develop to.
You CAN buy some games from gameloft though - like Modern Combat 2 - on the market, and that will follow your future line of phones, but it is also more expensive in the market (about 40%), for the reasons explained above.
But the games is very cheap directly from the website (sometimes down to 1-1,5 Euro for the HD-games, when on sale), when you see what you get for the money - so i guess it's an allright policy in my opinion...
Via their tweet, which you can get here, they're doing Let's Golf for free for the next couple of hours. Unfortunately, it's apparently not compatible with the SGS2.
Just thought I'd let you guys know about it now anyway, as lots of us have other devices as well.

Sucks I know. But you can buy some of their other games for 99p instead of £3. I managed to purchase quite a few games at 99p.
Ironically it let me purchase Let's Golf 2 HD for 99p and the download filename had GTi9100 in the actual filename so it's utter rubbish it does not support this phone....

Yeah, I know. I reckon they've just not updated their site so that it recognises the phone as a valid device. If only I'd brought my tab with me!
i can't access the game in holland, I just get redirected to the mainpage

The freebies are for the UK only, for whatever reason.
There was a post somewhere earlier about the free games, and that explained that, but I can't find it due to the search currently being down.
Yesterday I bought my first game for the SGS2 and since I'm a huge fan of racing games... guess what is the tittle -> Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD from Gameloft.
And now the interesting part:
1) As you can see from the images below, in the Android Market on my PC there is this message: 'This item is not compatible with your device.' (The same is with N.O.V.A. 2).
2) Prices!!! Asphalt 6 HD in Android Market costs 4.92 euro (today is 4.89 ). BUT in the gameloft's web store it is only 3 euro. And the same is with all other games.
Strange and I wonder why are these differences
Starforce woks fine too.

Hey,
I just got my Samsung Galaxy S2, and i want some good free apps. But i dont know any.
Anybody knows any really good free apps? I like soccer a lot, so soccer apps would be great.
Oh God. Advising apps will take till 2012. Just go to Android market, check the Top Free/Paid apps, you will get some idea.
Theres quite a few listed in this thread here
For soccer apps:
Try, FotMob and ScoreMobile for scores and schedule
I recently jumped ship to Windows Phone from android and was able to participate in the Nokia World of Apps promotion for a free $20 app voucher and am trying to figure out what to spend it on.
I plan on getting Rayman Jungle Run, and maybe Civilization Revolution, but otherwise I'm not really seeing anything I want to buy.
What are your recommendations?
to get discounts check Store Deals, AppDeals and myAppFree... some popular games also sometimes go for free, only you need to wait, for example Angry Birds collection was 2 times free, now is most of Disney collection free)...
also check App Social from Nokia to get recommendations for popular apps... if you cant find it in store, install SysApp Pusher
also here few interesting pay apps with trial to check if you interested:
OneShot - good camera app
MoliPlayer Pro - video player with subtitle support...
