There is no option to switch off the camera shutter sound or I am wrong?

if you put the phone into silent the camera sound is also shut off
Since you phrase it like that, you're wrong.
Ok. asking because on sgs 1 you can choose between couple of shutter sounds and turn it off from the camera menu.

So I've looked everywhere in the settings and can't find a way to zoom in while taking a picture or movie. Anyone know how?

Go into settings, locale and text and then find the keyboard and go into it's settings. Unchecked the option for sound on press

I don't believe there is one, the options given fix nothing that people want fixed. It's actually pretty accurate but it's such an annoying sound from the key presses.

Check in system whether the sounds are available in camera sounds or not. You can do this by using root explorer.

All my volume settings are turned off and I don't have camera shutter sounds. There's 4 different volume sliders.

Put the phone into silent (slide top slider to minimum which makes the phone vibrate and silent/vibrate icon appear. You can also select the vibrate button from the long power press menu). The camera is then silent.

Weird, when in silent it makes no sound on mine, or the other person who replied it seems. Must be your firmware version.

Just wondering if there is any way to get some of the camera options from the S3 onto this phone? I miss the option that allowed me to change the colors that showed in the picture. For example you could take a picture that showed only the blue or green objects or red and yellow. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Yeah they didnt add a lot of stuff like macro amd the colors like u said

This phone doesn't really need a dedicated macro mode because it can focus on really close objects with its default settings.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I continuously have to tap the screen to get it to zoom on an object when close.
