Hi!, i've recently bought the Ideos X5 U8800-51 and i've rooted it with no problems using superoneclick.
When im tryin to install the recovery, i cant load it pressing power and volume +, i've tried with 4.x and 5.x replacing in cust_backup
what can i do?
thanks in advance and sorry for my english, regards
For that model, I believe that only recovery that works is the CWM Recovery for U8800 PRO.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1291848
That being said, there are no custom Roms for it, so I don't see the purpose of having CWM, other than backups.
try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1229326
tried that too

Hi all!
I'm trying to provide my fantastic Blade with the new Clockworkmod recovery (3.0.2.7) from 3.0.1.4. The first flash failed at about 95%, so I'm afraid to reboot or use the Clockworkmod recovery. Clockworkmod recovery says I've currently 3.0.1.4 installed, but I think that one is broken.
Can I reboot with a damaged Clockworkmod?
Retrying the flash also fails, but now quicker (before there is a visible progress bar). I use the newest rom manager: 4.3.1.5, and MoDaCo Custom rom for the blade r12 (which has some serious reception issues I just recently found out).
Well, I sucessfully flashed 3.0.2.6 with the Rom manager.
Cheers!
I also installed this recovery....
It hangs up....
It can't get into CockworkMod recovery.
The only solution was to flash another, older, recovery via ROM Manager...
I flashed ClockworkMod 3.0.0.6 and everything works fine right now...
I think the latest version is only for Gen 2.
Are you guys on Gen 1?
Hi Spiceworm here, but YES indeed it was a GEN1 phone.
I flashed it to a GEN2 and now the flash of 3.0.2.7 was successful.
Hi, since u r having Gen2 now, y not try CW 4.0.0.2?

Are u sure u flashed the correct recovery for ur GEN? Try experimenting with different recovery versions. I think its the last option when u open the ROM manager app

Hello
I have an Ideos u8800 X5
Last week I tried to upgrade the Rom from a MIUI PT 2.3.5 to Aurora 4.0.4 v5.0 update 18
I followed all the basic steps and almost everything whent ok.
I had recovery CWM 5.5.0.4 working fine and made all the backups.
Before installing the Aurora I instaled Huawei 2.3.5 GB International stock rom as asked, the instalation was good and I didnt had any problems with it.
Now is the problem...
I cant go to recovery mode, every time I press +/volume and on/off the phone enters emediatly in the Huawei GB Rom and I cant find no way to get into recovery mode to install Aurora...
I also lost root acess, so there is no way to get into cust_backup to change the image file.and then try to acess recovery
ES Explorer doesn´t show any folder named cust_backup probably is hidden...
When I connect the phone to the computer doesnt show any file or folder with the recovery so I cant change it...
I have installed Remount to put cust_backup as RW and acess to recovery but without rooting this isnt possible...
Im stucked in this...
Is there any other way to acess recovery mode ?
is there any way to root the phone again ?
thanks for any help

Hi,
I was using quarx' cm10.1 on my defy plus and it worked quite okay, until I somehow managed to mess up my installation by trying to install moves2sd. Now it won't boot anymore, I'm stuck with the Motorola logo. I can acess the the bootmenu though, but can't acess the costum recovery.
I really don't know how to proceed now. I think the file structure is somehow broken and that it may be enough to reinstall the cm10.1 zip file, but I don't know how to do that without the costum recovery. Is this possible in any way?

MB this helps you.
You can get to the bootmenu by rebooting your phone and when it starts up the LED will turn blue. When it turns blue press the volume down button. From the bootmenu you can choose the Recovery option.
same prolem
i can't recovery cwm in cm7 also using droid recovery . but after that the phone will be stuck in logo
