So I've installed MIUI 1.9.23 for nook color. I'm connected to a network and I can browse internet clearly however when I click on Online Theme it says Unable to connect to network.
Anyone have an idea why would it be so?

Here's the problem.
When I try to connect to my University's network , the Galaxy S is able to connect JUST fine. However, when I open a browser it says the incoming certificate is not secure and then I have NO INTERNET on any page.
What the network is supposed to do is redirect me to the login page so that I can register the device to the network. My phone can't do that apparently and just sits connected to the network with NO INTERNET connectivity. How can I fix the problem?
This is the university network and the instructions how to get on it for Android devices:
http://www.colorado.edu/its/docs/wireless/androidwireless.html
I connect to it just fine but am UNABLE to get to that device registration/login page.
This is NOT just for my university. ANY public network which requires me to accept an "agreement" before it lets me have internet access, my phone KILLS ITSELF and CANNOT pull up the agreement page but instead tells me there is no internet. I'm SURE its a software problem or something with settings but can't figure out just what it is. Help?
Just about the only networks I can connect to on Wi-Fi are home networks. It SUCKS.
Hey guyz
I installed android froyo v1.8 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793924) on my HD2. I open it via HARET.exe .
Everything is working fine except the internet. When I turn on my Wifi it detects my router and even it says connected but when i try to do browsing nthhin happens. I have tried several other builds but the same problem presists. I have even tried my network data connection an it is also not working.
Please help me out in this matter.
Check your APN settings:
Settings, Wireless & network, Mobile networks, Access Point Names
Make sure your provider is selected and check the values against those on this page...
http://www.unlocks.co.uk/gprs_settings.php
If you can't find anything suitable on that page then google for the APN settings for your provider in your country.
I tried but still it doesnt work! Can you tell me why i cannot browse over the internet via wifi. It says connected but when i try to open somthing, it says connection error.
I have the same problem but only with my contract internet, my wifi is working fine. My APN settings are wrong but i can't change them?
I just switched to CyanogenMod 7, from OpenFire, and whenever I try to connect to my notebook connection it just stays at ''Obtaining IP-Address''.
Any help?
Did you try to connect with other device ? A Notebook or PC ?
If you have a hidden network, it's a known bug in CM7, you're not able to connect to an hidden network.
HTC Touch Elfin - Asian stock ROM

Hi,
I am running a web application on my PC browser (deployed on tomcat) and I want to see how it works on Andriod device. To this I have created a Wireless Ad hoc (Computer to Computer) network on my PC running windows 7. But when I go to Settings in Google Nexus (also tried Samsung Galaxy) and search for wireless network, it says 'Not in Range'. I can see the network SID but it does not connect to it. However when I tried with iPad, it connected to my PC wifi and I am able to view application on Safari browser.
I am not sure what is wrong here. I tried googling but could not find meaningful resource. Please can someone help me?
Thanks
Ad-hoc has never been supported in stock Android, sorry.(especially not since they added WiFi Direct, which replaced ad-hoc)
