I've visited 2 Carphone Warehouse stores in City Centre, one of them didn't know what samsung galaxy note is, another one said that it's going to get stock next week.
If this news is true about the Leeds City Centre branch having stock of the phone then I'll be heading down first thing tomorrow and upgrading!

I was in the Gateshead Metro Centre store and the manager showed me on his system that there were 4 in Newcastle ("Just across the River" he said, the main store).
I also saw there were some in Leeds Briggate store. I called in to Leeds on the way home to the Midlands today and they brought one straight out when I asked, nothing was on display.

That's why I've ordered from Amazon.de at a lower price and should be here by the weekend.
If the CPW guy would have sold it today I may have been tempted, even at a possibly higher price.

That is bad news. I was holding off buying from Amazon.de and hoping to pick one up from CPW tomorrow, but if they are not selling sim free I guess I might as well order online, or maybe wait and see tomorrow after official launch date has passed?

It was big but I'm not planning on talking on it much. My employer provides me with a Darkfruit for that.
Didn't try much with one hand, I was concentrating on the s pen for note taking which will take some getting used to.

This has already been asked over and over and over again. Look at some of the other threads where people got X1's already. For instance Sweden go the X1i earlier this month...
Any advantage with the black over the silver? Will the black have more of a chance to have paint chipping you think?

He tells me he is a pilot and purchased a bunch in the UK [ I think he said that ] and said he paid $250 each .. Sounded like a crock - maybe I am wrong - but I have decided to wait for mine to ship. I think it will ship this coming Friday and the unit is silver. I decided on silver because I too didn't like the contrast of the keyboard against the black. Someone said it looked like 2 different phones stuck together .. I sort of agreed, and now I can't get that description out of my head .. BESIDES .. I am like a ferret .. I like shiny silver things !

It could be somewhat possible, I have friends working at airline companies and sometimes manage to get packages intercepted. I mean if he is a pilot he should be somewhat known. Also if there is a delivery going to whatever store via air parcel and it happened to get stolen and he is in on it he may get a cut for the shipment.
All I am saying there is a possibility, I have people who do it all the time.

Time to throw a wench into your thought process. I was one definitely stickin go the silver but after thinking of the silver and how it looks closed. I was like if it was all silver in front with the buttons silver and not black I would have passed up the black. Now with the black the black is all good and well when it is closed but when it opens up it shows the silver keyboard. Now with that said I tend to use my xperia ...
1. majority of times closed, which is why a 1 toned color on the phone face is great + majority of my gadgets and gears are already black
2. i dont expect to be walking around with my xperia to be open to show off the silver on silver x1i.
With that said ... majority ruled for me also since it was readily available for me to ship.

Why do you guys like to buy stolen goods? Its is not right to do so. Imagine the poor guy who is waiting for his X1 to be shipped to later find out it has been stolen and bought buy one of you guys. Do not encourage such practices. If you cannot afford to buy or wait, don't buy it.
I never said I bought anything from them, I like many people here have paid for the xperia with hard earned money. Now, if someone were to talk up to me in the street or post an ad on craigslist saying he is selling an xperia for half price and wants to know if I buy more. If they are real I will not lie, chances are I would have bought it from him knowing there is a high chance there was some crookery involved. But I wouldnt ask how he got it, if they are legit he gets my money.

There is an expansys in the US and I tried to get it from there but they said they a long list to fulfill first. But they do overnight shipping ... but expansys UK have them in stock and do deliver to the us via DHL 2-3 day shipping (that is where I ordered mine from yesterday) and now its en route to the us. I should have mine by tomorrow or day after the latest. But it is up to you, I mean personally I wanted this phone more or less right away, and when I factored in the store that have it in the us plus waiting times I decided to order mine directly from the uk where i am guaranteed to get it friday latest

I have looked around and haven't really found a thread on this, so I wanted to start one.
Can people who have been to their local AT&T stores report what the sales reps are telling you about GS3 availability?
My local stores are now saying they will be in stock on Monday, June 25th. Is this consistent with what anyone else has been told? Has anyone actually gone into an AT&T store and found that they did in fact get them in stock today?
Please report your findings.
the ultimate insult for pre-order geeks like myself would be to be able to walk in a store and buy a phone off the shelf that millions of people who pre-ordered are still waiting for.....that would be a PR nightmare no matter what carrier you are on
if I were PR for any of them I would tell all the stores to keep them "on backorder status" until the majority or all pre-orders are fulfilled

i have talked with three at&t's stores here in houston..........
all of them had said, the 28th....and that they were getting 2 order/shipments....one for pre-orders and one for instore(first come first serve)
I was in my local AT&T store today because the sim card sent with my phone wasn't LTE so they swapped it out. They had no idea when the phones were coming in but they had just got cases while I was there.

Went to my local store twice in the last week and called another. My store told me that it was going to be available in store on 20th June. On 20th I was told that they have no idea when its coming and check back on 24th. One store that I called told me that they had no idea because there is no form official communication from AT&T. Both stores didn't even have display models.
I understand that people who pre-ordered feel entitled to have the phone before anyone else , but there have been plenty of launches where people got their preordered phones after the launch date. Preordering doesn't put you first in line, it guarantees you a device... Ugh... Get ourselves.

but if there is enough stock to "launch", assuming you mean phones in stores for walk in buyers, there was enough phones to fulfill preorders, which came first...
I have checked my local store several times and was told the official release date would be June 28..
And would not sell me one until then....

On-contract, AT&T will probably get you the best speed. Off-contract? Probably StraightTalk. Look into T-Mobile and see if they have refarmed your area for the 1900MHz frequency (try airportal.de). It's likely though that they haven't, making StraightTalk your best bet for HSPA+ speed off-contract. Check the provider forums and coverage maps for your area.
According to the new egg listing for those note 2's they are 3g and not 4g.

The international Note 2 doesn't have LTE.
It's on my invoice also, the warranty that is. I contacted Newegg to confirm if the are extending the return policy on the phones. The 'confirmed' with there manager and was told that it is still a 15 day return unopened, which is there standard policy for unlocked cell phones. They would still allow for an exchange up to 1/31/13 and price match as well.
This is a 3g phone for AT&T...no LTE, which is fine with me. LTE will not be in my area for sometime, and I am always on wi-fi...
I pulled the trigger on the grey model tonight! I also promptly ordered the Samsung official hard/bumper case from the Samsung site, a screen protector and an AT&T Straight Talk micro sim.
Time to retire the Galaxy Nexus and the T-Mo prepaid. I'm honestly a little bit excited to get onto AT&T's network. Out west the T-Mo service gets a bit sketchy outside of the I-15 cooridor. Every time i'm in Montana, Wyoming and even parts of Idaho its a total crap shoot if I'll even be able to get voice roaming (usually on AT&T's network). And building penetration in my office in Salt Lake is horrible.

When you put in your apn for Straight Talk, don't put in the first port or proxy that it says to. It'll help so that you may not get throttled as aggressively or kicked off the network.
Thanks for the info. I also bought a note 2 tonight. Also straight talk att micro sim card. I was holding out for the 32gb but the $90 off pushed me over the edge.

There have been some horror stories of people getting kicked off an throttle for all different things. Read the terms and conditions. It's really shady. The unlimited they claim is FAR from it.

I believe the 8th is when the global services for the watch are opened so owning one before then won't get you very far anyway.

I also did a preorder here on Vodafone spain d855 gold one with lg smartwatch and the lg g3 case for free only 300 units

i went into three this morning and the guy there was adamant that I had to have pre ordered the watch at the same time I pre ordered the G3...

he assures me he has....don't believe him though.
This was the Cannon Street store, and I have also had the same reply from the Holborn store. Canterbury say they will do it, but I can't get there for another week or so.
I phoned 3 myself and they were useless, because I upgraded in store, they tell me they are unable to provide any clarification.

This "promotion" is a joke. I mean, at NO point when i was upgrading did they say that I had to pre-order both at the same time.
Did you have to pay any fee for the remainder of your contract?
This is from the Three website:

My contract is only 7 days old! They just said return the phone then.
So I then rang again to the online team and they confirmed and apologized that the other staff haven't got a clue what they are talking about. She told me to go in-store from the with with my receipt to claim my watch

well good luck with that. I tried this also, but he was adamant, even with a receipt and proof of what their website he wasnt doing it.
Ive had this problem went in this morning and refused to accept that this offer exists at all which was rather annoying tbh so i told them to ram it ill buy one online.
They also said that this offer was onky for pre orders and that everyone should of known about it at no point has 3 in my town ever advertised this offer or mentioned it when i got my phone ended up having a huge argument with the store manager telling him is useless and a joke then i showed him my tweets from here that i posted between my self and Brendan and he still refused to acknowledge the offer so i gave up.

I just spoke with "Sharon" at three on the phone. She confirmed that the watch should have been pre-ordered at the time i got the phone.
But, she has applied the £70 difference to my account so i can buy the phone at the full price and be no worse off.
My advice, speak with three, tell them whats happened and they should sort it out.
Good luck, took me a 30 minute phone call to get the resolution i deserved!

This is pretty stupid seen as they were not even offering the watch at the time most people pre-ordered!
The Xperia Z3 will officially launch in Canada tomorrow, October 31st.
Quite possibly the only region that hasn't received it yet. (as usual)
It'll be available at Rogers, Bell, Telus, Wind and unlocked at the Sony Stores for $699 or $599 for the Z3 Compact.
Who is getting one here from Canada?
I'm currently with Wind but I pre-ordered through the Sony store for a white Z3.
Doesn't look like there's any extras coming with the box.
I'm thinking of getting one. I'm just waiting to see how much it will go for at Bell (since I'm on Virgin). Rogers is supposed to have it for $599 so if they are the cheapest, I may get it from them and just pay to unlock it. If Bell sells it for the same price, then I can just get it from them and save having to do the unlock right away. If Sony pricematches Rogers, then that is another option as well.
I may wait a couple of weeks before jumping in though to make sure there are no particular issues with the Z3 in Canada.
I would have preferred a 32GB version (especially considering the $699 price from Sony) but 16GB should cover me as I don't install games on my phones and the SD card will cover the 30 some GB's of media I do carry around.
I just hope the battery is good and the screen can be read outdoors in sunlight. Two of the main reasons I got rid of my Nexus 5.

Also kinda disappointed that it doesn't come with earphones - might have to buy the NC earphones later

still watching and waiting for the bugs to be identified/remedied, while slowly picking out accessories. the pink spot in photos = not impressive for a device that's 700 clams.

I already received my cruzerlite bugdroid case from amazon. Really nice case by the way. All the buttons & ports are uncovered except for sim/sdcard port.

That's disappointing. I guess MobileSyrup got taken with a fake screenshot, or Rogers changed their pricing. It's still nice phone but for $699, we should have the 32GB version the US does. I'll probably still be getting it though.
Just picked mine up
The store only had 2 z3 cases and I didn't like either - have to check amazon or ebay now.
Also, it doesn't come with earphones (the rep didn't know this either)

MobileSyrup just posted a release for the Z3 for all carriers and they are still reporting the Z3 as being $599 from Rogers:

Could you tell me how you got to select the no term price? I can only select on 2 year contracts.
I will go to the Rogers store and show them - and then return the one I got to Sony

I got my hands on a copper z3. I've been playing with it for the last twi hours, I'm really happy with it si far.
The smoke clear bugdroud clear with the cooper z3 give an awesome look!

Sorry... Misunderstood. I:
- Added to cart
- Selected 'I want to add a new line to my account'
- Choose any plan and you should see the 'no term' price of $599.
If you select 'I want to upgrade my device' after adding to cart, it wont go anywhere as it directs you to go to a store or call.
EDIT - Added screenshot.
EDIT 2 - Sorry... you are right, you can't purchase without adding a plan online. Maybe try in store. That's what I will try. The fact that online it has the 'no term' price as $599 might help getting it without a plan for the same price in store. (Hopefully!)

I showed it to the store rep and he said that it was a 'bug' in the site, and they can't sell it at that price. When he scanned the phone again it showed up as $649 (earlier today it was $699)
At a $50 difference I'm going to stick to the unlocked one I got from the Sony store. Hope you guys have better luck.
Btw, this is 100% the best looking phone I've ever seen

Hi. I guess I got lucky as I was able to pick one up from Rogers for $599 but it was one of those 'perfect storm' things as it was coming up in his system as $599 for new activations and $649 as a new phone on existing plan. As he assumed that was a mistake, he called someone who gave him authorization for an override for the $599 price. He was supposed to confirm with his manager but they had left and didn't answer his call. So, I was able to get it.
Now I just have to find a place to unlock it. I had found a place earlier that said $17 CDN but I've lost the link.
At $649, I'd probably go to the Sony Store. Online it states you can't return them which was a concern for me if I didn't like it but in store you still have 14 days. Unlocked might be better for upgrades as well.
Going to stop by Rogers tomorrow... Fingers crossed for 599
