Hi, I've been trying installing Mwakious Sense runningrom v. 2.1 in the HTC Leo of a friend, I have no problems til it comes to the point of installing the rom from the zip file on CWM 2.3.0.0
It completes half of the installation, than the status bar sticks and the log only says "error in sd card/mwakious sense runningrom v.2.1 wipe.zip" or something similar, than "(status 0) and "installation aborted" how can I solve this problem? is it a problem of the Rom? I only need a rom with gingerbread and sense 3.0 at least, that works with clk, my friend isn't skilled on tecnologies so she needs a rom which is as native as possible of a normal htc sense with android, this is also why I avoid using magldr... please HELP me!!!
Thanks
re-format the sd card and try again. or try with another sd card
This card's the only one I have 4 the moment... I'll try reformatting and repartitioning it... thanks 4 the moment
can also happen if the zip file is corrupt, might want to see if thats the case

Don't think so... I downloaded it so many times... same error everytime
But there are some news... Mwakious says he's using recovery 5.0.3.2 but I don't own the .batch to upgrade my 4.0.0.0 tho this 5.0.2.3
Plus, Mwakious also says that if getting error 0 during installation than I hv to substitute the update_script file with his modified one... I tried it and cwm gets another error, error 6 this time... I'm really in need of help because I hv to find a solution for tomorrow at least! HELP!!

Hi,
I've download the new official rom for HD2 from htc site. Is a .exe. But when I click on it its gives me an error like: directory error or something likes it. Maybe because I've a coocked rom or hspl and not spl? How can I resolve that problem? I tried to run on htc and on computer with active sync but it doesn't work
Thanks!
Use the search! This is covered even with a video tutorial in one of the stickies. Now go find!
Maybe i'm idiot but i can't find it searching with "official rom error install" or "official rom error directory" and so on... Especially in sticky I don't see anything that can help me, maybe is for my horrible english. i'm sorry for my incompetence.

You need to screenshot the error and let us see it. I'm afraid "directory error or something" really doesn't help us help you.

if you have hspl installed there is no difference between custom or official rom flashing. go to the rom developement page and you can find very nice visual guides and videos about everything you need to know.
Yes, I've Hspl installed.. I see a lot of video and I flashed a lot of roms before but this error I've never had before....
I post errors it gives me...
Thanks a lot.

I'm a little concerned about the folder from the first screenshot. It says the ROM is in the folder G:\?HTC HD2?\.... That surely isn't correct. Try moving it to a different folder and running it again.
If not, it may have been corrupted when downloading. I know it doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
Just my thoughts.
Huh... just try to rename the exe to some simpler name like ROM.exe, those ?s look like there are some weird characters in the name, they'd have nothing to do there...
Or probably the download failed, if the rename doesn't work just redownload the file.
This has nothing to do with what you have on the phone, it's the PC not being able to run the ROM updater.
What Windows version?
The folder is a usb key, but i try to run it form desktop or a different folder and it gives me same errors.
I just try to download again (three times) the file. Maybe is corrupted himself, but I don't think that I've downloaded it corrupted three times
Windows xp
I renamed file and it works! What noobs thing XD
Thanks a lot!
Hi..
Tried the latest Android Froyo build on my phone with some interesting results.
I downloaded Froyo, copied the Android folder to my SD card, hit CLRCAD and then Haret. Froyo started booting, but after 4-5 lines all stopped. There was nothing happening after 15-20 min, so i pulled the battery, and started the phone again.
Now i get the message (in Norwegian)
"The file <filename> cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. If the problem persists try reinstalling or restorig the file"
The problem is that none of the programs installed on the SD-card runs. They all get the above error.
I can not install any programs (reg editors) because i again get the above message. My registry editor that is already installed wont work, and i can not install anything.
I have tried Googling the problem and i've also searched the forums here in XDA. But i have not found anything that actually might work, because they all wants to install something. I can not install anything, and all of my 3'rd party apps doesn't work.
How do i disable the certificate verification without having to install anything or run any 3'rd part apps??
Is there maybe any program that i can run from my Win7 computer??
Thanks for all informing answers..
Certificate problem?
Exactly the same thing happens to me. Bump!
I'm also having this problem, seems to affect .exe files regardless of whether they are on the SD Card or on the device itself. Same cause as well.
2 reasons may be:
Either you run a stock rom and you need to install certinstaller search here on xda or run a custom rom
Or the sdcard is corrupt so you have to reformat
When you post issues pls give details as well like what hspl, rom, radio you use so people could help you out

Hmm, yeah, it's a stock ROM (for now). I cant't install anything so the certinstaller can't help me.... Now i have to find out how to run a custom ROM.
I have also reformatted the SD-cart with no luck.
My (for now) stock phone:
Manila: 2.5.19211619.0
ROM: 1.66.409.1 (76641) NOR
Radio: 2.06.51.07
Using a custom ROM as a base for Android will heed much better results.
Full instructions for flashing a custom ROM are found here (and here for TMOUS HD2).
^^^ Also I notice you have an old radio (2.06). I'm quite sure you need a 2.10 or 2.12 radio for Android...most people seem to have had the best results from 2.12. You will learn how to do that in the link above I just gave you.
As well, there are programs that allow you to edit the registry while connected via activesync that don't require installing anything on the phone.
Case closed
Well, it seemed like a good time to reset the phone now...
While having this problem, i upgraded the SPL with no problem.
Downloaded the newest Dutty-rom, and tried to upgrade, but because no 3'rd part progs will run, this didn't work. I had to hard reset the phone, and then upgrade the ROM and then the Radio.
Everything seems OK so far...
Thanks for all replies
any luck? i m having the same problem
When I try to open the downloaded android files on my SD card by tapping first CLRCAD and then HARET I get the following eror message: Files can not be opened due to a not signed trusted certificate or one of its componenets can not be found. Please help I'm getting desperate. Have tried reinstalling everything several times. I have radio ROM version 2.06., maybe that is the reason? Thank you.
You have to allow unsigned apps to perform actions/install in WM
something to do with sdkcerts.cab in windows mobile... dont remember exactly.
Wait for sometime... someone will help you.

You answered your own question. New radio is called for I think.
are you running stock if so you need hardspl3 after that you need a custom rom , look for chunkyrom for android it works well , then look in to flashing a radio rom , search and you shall find
oh... forgot Welcome to XDA
Yes, first try changing your Radio to 2.12.50.02_2 (Hope u have hardSPL'ed ur phone)
Looks like you have problems due to ur smartphone not accepting unsigned apps....install sdkcert.cab (search forum) for WinMo
well this problem suddenly started occurring
i've been running android builds for months now and not once have I encountered problems running haret and CLRCAD.
but it suddenly happened yesterday when i tried to run Mdeejay froyo revolution 1.5 for the 2nd time (the first time was successful)
and it started giving me the same error message
radio: 2.15.50.14
Hi all, I faced the same issue above, sudden happen.... Im using Rom 2.15
wow are you guys all noobs?
just download bsb tweaks and enable unknown programs.
its called "Policies" something.. youll find it there.
(btw if you are connected to pc with your phone, disconnect it =\ then try)
HI!
i got a problem installing this android on my hd 2, ive seen a couple threads to see if anyone ells got this problem but didnt seems to find it.
i`ve tryed to runn it from difrent location... same issue apares every time
error: can not oppen file clrcad. either its not signd with the right sertificat, or one of the components do not exist. install file all over or re-oppen if problem remains.
same error ocure when opening the other files for some reason
tryed to:
-format card in all the difrent formats
-delete it and tryed installing from difrent placeses
anyone got a sulution for this problemo of mine? tnx in andvance
This is a Windows issue, and nothing to do with either Android or your SD card.
Search for (and run) sdkcerts.cab
It will allow you to run unsigned apps.
ty for the feedback, i will try
i got it "working" now, well atleast somthing happens when i start the program...
BUT. when i start it it dont seems to work still, the screen start to work for mayby 2 seconds. then it go all black and nothing happens(yes i have w8ed to see if it install in the background)
kinda anoying when it seemsed so easy to install it sight-_-` got a new sulution?
What verion radio are you running? You need to be above 2.08 and have a radio ending .50 not .51
also, if you've tryed initialising android a bunch of times, youve probably corupted the sd card while it attempts to create a new file system. format the card, put the android folder on it, and make sure you have the corect radio etc before attempting again.
Hi Guys,
I'm kinda stuck here, hope you'll be able to help:
Situation is as follows:
I have an HTC Leo, and after 2 months of usage - got the white screen:
1. Tried soft reset - no good
2. Tried hard reset - no good
3. Cannot sync to PC with ActiveSync - does not detect the device
4. Can go to boot mode, but only with voulme down+soft reset button
5. Cannot sync in boot mode as well - there appears to be a "USB" writing at the bottom, (white line on boot mode) though ActiveSync does not detect via usb?
6. Tried to install HSPL2 - starts to install, never finishes, proggress bar goes up and down forever (on PC) - I believe device needs to be synced before installing?
7. Device is enabled in the device manager, though cannot explore - thus no access to SD card
8. Here we go, I seem to do something wrong, PLEASE HELP, I payed for the device about 400E in my country, stock warranty is not an option
9. HEEEEEEEEEELP
10. Thanks!!!
Try flashing the stock ROM for your HD2 via SD card. If you have a T-Mobile HD2 then go to T-Mobile.com to download the ROM you will have to enter the IzmEI number from under your battery to download it. If you have a international HD2 go to HTC.com and enter your serial number that is under your battery to getca list of ROMs you can download and install on your HD2. If the ROM is a .exe you will have to right click it and renamecthe file .zip to view the contents. After that follow the instructions in the thread linked below to flash the ROM.

[Q] Thanks
Hi, thanks for the info,
When I go to HTC homepage, i find "Rom Upgrades" - is that the same as the ROM itself?
Sorry if the q is dum ,I'm completely new in this
And also - does the card have to be empty (only ROM in) so that the phone boots it?
Thanks again

Yeah that is what you are looking for. The ROM upgrades is the most recent official ROMs out for the HD2. Just make sure you use your serial number to make sure you get a ROM that is for your HD2 or you will not be able to flash it unless you get HSPL on your HD2. Also make sure the HTC site you are on is for your part of the world, your country or the country the HD2 originated from.
[Q] Hi again, last q
When I Explore the contents of the rom I see numerous files, and reading the instructions you linked tells me to rename an image. The ROM is an exe, so I renamed it to zip , explored and currently I see only one .nbh file:
RUU_signed.nbh
Should I rename this one to LEOIMG.nbh and copy this file only to SD card? Or rename and leave there, take the whole exe and put it into the SD Card?
Would that be sufficient to run the ROM in bootload?
Thanks again brother, you're a lifesaver

Just take and copy the RUU_signed.nbh file make a copy ofcthe file and past it to your desktop and then rename it to LEOIMG.nbh then copy that file to the root of your SD card. All you have to have is the .nbh file but it has to be named LEOIMG.nbh.
You can also flash a radio, splash screen, and MAGLDR this way if need be. But you would still have to flash CWM via custom RUU via USB if you installed MAGLDR.
[HIHI]
Great - now "Radio fail" - update terminated... any ideas?
Exact error description:
00018003
LEOIMG.nbh - Fail
RADIO - Fail
Update Terminate
UPDATE FAIL
and this is an official HTC ROM?!?

Sorry I had to get some sleep, anyway I suggest you first make a backup copy of your SD card and then reformat your SD card using the Panosonic Mick SD card formatting software, just Google it you will find it. Do a full wipe of hour cardcand format it using Fat 32. Then copy the LEOIMB.nbh to your card and try it again. Also try to use a card no bigger than a 8GB as bigger SD cards are prone to give people problems when flashing via SD card. Note I did not say they will notcflash a ROM, bit they sometimes give people trouble.
Also I forgot to tell you this morning that if your HD2 says USB in the white bar of bootloader and it also says HTC USB sync in the device manager in the control panel of your computer, then you have a Sync connection to your computer but you can not use this connection for anything bit to flash different software to your HD2.
[Q] Hi Buddy, 10x for staying so long :)
Sorry brother,
I really appreciate your help so far.
Same Sh*t - even after FAT 32 format
When tried to upgrade with the official HTC ROM - "RUU_signed...." (not via SD) HTC boot screen appeared, but after 1% said : Image corrupted". It coud be that the stock rom sucks big time. May be try with some Artemis?

Yeah maybe you got a bad download of the ROM. If that was the only official ROM you could down load. I would try to download it againcand delete the first copy you downloaded, or I would flash HSPL. to my HD2 and then try to flash the stock ROM are a custom ROM. Custom ROMs are better than stock ROMs anyway. Just remember though if you have a warranty and you need to send your HD2 in for warranty work or exchange you need to revert your HD2 back to complete stock. This means ROM, radio, and SPL.
