Haven't had any problems yet. Try reflashing.
Hello guys,
I have a small problem with htc music player. When I connect the phone by Jack connector to my car, I start listening to the music. Sometimes the music player even the screen is off, starts changing songs, forwarding or rewiding current songs... Doesnt matter if the screen is OFF or if am I in today screen or whatever.
Do someone experience the same problem?
I have stock 1.43 rom with some updates from HTC site.
Thanks
I don't get that problem.
I suggest...
1. Upgrade to the latest official ROM 1.66
2. Try playing only fixed bitrate MP3s, apparently there can be problems with variable bitrate music files
3. See if Windows Media Player does anything similar
4. Contact HTC support
5. If all else fails, return your unit

This exact problem was posted by someone a while back, and it turned out that he needed to clean the jack plug and headphone socket. Once he did that, the problem went away. Maybe it's not the same reason, but it's worth a try.
Hope it helps

1. I will do that when it comes official for my region - central europe
2. will try that soon
3. with WMP is looking everything OK
6. I find out, that if I put the device close to the heating and it gets very hot, it starts doing that. Or when the JACK is not well inserted in the device.
Hi all, I'm new to the forums so don't be too harsh on me, and sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find it anywhere (skipped through like 15 pages)
I have a, in my eyes, huge problem with the HTC Music player, sometimes it just skips songs or fast forward through them, then it takes a while before it stops and I can listen to music again, and sometimes it won't stop and I have to turn my phone off and on for it to work again. This is really annoying and happens 4 or 5 times in my 1 hour trip to school.
As I said, it does occur randomly, but on some songs more often then others. I put them on my phone with Windows Media Player. I also keep it upside down in my pocket if that's a problem. I also tried other ear-phones but that didn't solve anything.
Thanks in advance and I hope there's a solution to this ^^ also, are there more people with this problem, I have searched the internet quite a bit but found no information whatsoever.
yes, I have same problem and its only when using not htc's headphones, so it must be a problem with headphones connector on HD2.
Friend of mine is having same problem.
Yeah, it works fine with HTC's crappy headphones. Doesnt work with my Shure's.It does work with my portable speakers though.
HTC Music skipping and stopping
My problem is that when i turn on HTC Music it works fine with headphones other than the HTC ones until i lock the screen. Then it cuts the music out once or twice then cuts off completely, all within 60 seconds of locking the screen.
Thinking this was a problem with the headphone's connection jack, as they are from an old Sony minidisc player, i went back to the crappy HTC headphones and the same thing happened!
Any ideas for a cure would be greatly appreciated as i get around by cycling and it defeats the purpose it i have to stop every 2 mins just to restart the player or answer the phone.
HTC HD2
OS Version5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82)
Manila Version 2.5.19211619.0
ROM Version 1.66.405.2 (76641) WWE
ROM Date 01/11/10
Radio Version 2.06.51.07
Protocol Version 15.30.50.07U
whenever there is incoming call while i am listening to music..... it will happen right after screen is off.
i called HTC support about this, but they said no such case reported and tested...
Now my solution is to press the Play button on Headphone or do not lock the screen.
Any permanent solution ?!
thanks alot !!
ive been having a problem when i hook it up to my dd monitor in my car, it goes wacky and changes songs and fast forwards, rewinds. its only when i hook up to the 3.5 jack from my deck, headphones is no issue...im stumped
Has anyone come up with a solution?I have the same problem when I hook up my Sensation to car radio through 3.5mm.Starts fast forwarding and skipping through songs.
the stock earphones come with 4 metal pieces in the jack, while the others have 3.. my theory is that non-stock headphones sometime mimic a press of one of the buttons. as this also happens to me sometimes while removing the stock headphones from the device.
if you're good with welding stuff, buy a 4piece jack and connect the new headphones to it
Found a fix was hoping for sometype of patch but this works to.Do a search for, "headset blocker" in the market.
So i got this problem for many months now.
It does not matter which player i choose (i tried most common ones)
and the app headset blocker doesnt fix the issue.
basically the music just randomly stops or loops or just changes wildly around.
im running cm 7.1 but previous versions were the same.
is there any other fix yet? headphones are standard sennheiser inear.
sometimes it works though..but mostly not.
I had the same problem with aftermarket earphones.
Randomly music would play, pause, restart loop crash and whatever.
Took me months to figure out, this is my lifesaver now:
Disable AutoPlay will disable your Media Button Inputs from your headset remote control. This will avoid your phone from starting the media player if you connect normal headphones.
warning: if media button is disabled you will not be able to accept calls with your headset remote control.
You can download it from the market, its free.'
Search for Disable Autoplay.
Well since i dont even have a headset that wont matter... ill try that, i couldnt reproduce the bug now but ill see if it gos away now..thanks anyway
So this happens when you wear headphones (are standard sennheiser inear) or random running musicplayer?? .
So i could test it today and it didnt fix the issue.
it happens when i hear music via headphones with any music player.
( for example winamp playerpro stock player etc...)
any other ideas?
From posts that i read, the number of circles on the ear phones Jack can cause the skips.
Im using a skull candy earphone and its working fine. The headset blocker is taking in effect. Music does not skipping/pause/replay anymore. Im running on absolutionv3.7 based on cm7. Oh yeah, I'm using stock music player.
But headset blocker does not work on sense roms. T.T I wish it worked on sense roms. Also, stock music player on sense rom.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
ell now i went into some famous german media shop and looked around if there were any headphones that around complete garbage and work with htc phones specifically, but of course no luck. and since all the other headphones have the exact same connector i dont think it will change a thing.
i still onder if it could be cm7?
well i read same issues from stock rom users. and it as the same with cm6.
and i now learned that those are the only headphones with that connector that i own :l
can you recommend me another good rom to try?
must have is (which was the initial reason i use cm) a fixed bluetooth stack. stock rom doesnt allow me to use my wiimote (and afaik all sense roms have that issue)
a kernel that lets me oc to at least 1,5 gh and an overall slim look and feel. hate that rubbish sense stuff.
@kakihara - What kernel are you using? I had massive music skips when used default cm kernel, but when I changed to LordClockan BFS kernel, all music skips were gone, and I can fully enjoy music listening no matter what player I choose.
@Desire HD & CyanogenMod
I too had a similar issue after I flashed CM7 & 7.1. Also had this issue with an ICS ROM (I forget which one). I am interested to see the cause and any fixes. I gave up and went back to my trusty RCMix3D V4.0 ROM.
I actually sent my phone to repair when i first discovered this issue, but they couldn't determine anything wrong with my phone. When i installed headset blocket, it thankfully worked(from time to time). But my final solution is that i'm going to buy a pair of Klipsch Image S4a(Android Controls), since i'm in need of some new earbuds anyway. I hope it solves the issue.
Hi
I am currently using T-mobile HD2 running WP7.8 Pdaimatejam Rom. So far so good , the rom running smoothly, except for some rarely auto reboot.
But there is one thing that bugs me the most. Whenever I plug in a headphone which is not HTC's, the phone start to act crazy. It automatically start, stop, change volume, sometime it changes song as well..I test it with several headphone/earphone. This will not happen if i plug in the HTC's headphone, which come with a music controller.Unfortunately, the stock headphone got muted on one ear and I don't want to waste money on another HTC headphone because I already got 2,3 headphones at home.
So anyone has ever encountered the same problem. If yes can you share the solution ??
