Hi guys,
As you may see, I'm mainly from the Desire S section. The reason why I came here is to ask someone to please upload a stock Rosie.apk from any version of official ROMs for the Desire Z.
It can be found on System\App folder of your phone or maybe the ROM.
The main reason is I'm trying to check the codes used by the Desire Z and compare it to the Desire S one, to make the Rosie Launcher autorotate when the keyboard is out. Yes, I will try my best to port it, and maybe trying to make it autorotate just by sensors.
I humbly ask for your cooperation. Thanks!
If there's any help, I may have already make it work using just by sensor here:
Desire S may NOT or will NOT receive native DOCK support

This is the original Rosie http://db.tt/jJKUfpkR
And this is modified one which uses the sensor to rotate http://db.tt/xoltg2v6
Both are from the latest GB OTA, hope this is what you were after
Edit: Uploaded to dropbox, will have correct file names now
On another note I did a Q&D port of the DZ stock rom to the DS. It works really nice and is damn fast but is very boring compared to sense 3 roms

I'm still confused don't know what you're talking about.
I've changed my rom to OpenDesire v1.3b now.
Can someone help me on applying this minimalistic theme to it, I'd be very grateful.
Thank you.
This thread makes no sense so far.
But to apply this, download it, put it on the root of your SD card, switch phone off, enter recovery mode then apply it via zip.
Edit:
You realise there is a Tom based on this theme? There's also a nextheme thread in Themes and Apps.

LOL i know, don't know what the hell that guy is on about.
I've got ROM Manager, will that apply the theme?
What do you mean "you realise there is a Tom based on this theme?", don't understand
In other words, simply flash this theme like you would flash rom, use whatever method you want!

Yeah, it should. But, if I were you, I'd download the one from the desire themes and apps section rather than that one. AND DO A NANDROID BACK UP FIRST!
Edit: in the last post, I meant rom, not Tom its called setrom if you wanted to check that out before flashing the theme over your rom.

Which one from the Desire themes and apps section?
I can't find one like it in that section, only can find it in the Nexus One section.

Should be called 'nextheme'
However, you're using the OpenDesire rom right?
I don't think most/any themes would work on that as it isn't a port from the nexus one. I could be wrong, but nandroid back up first if you're going to try.
Edit: nextheme wont work as its for FRF72, the one you found could work if its for the right version.

Is there anyone you know that could port it over to the OpenDesire Rom?
Hello,
I think what benko was trying to say if someone creates a guide on how to do this he would post it in this "how-to" topic.
No idea on the theming though. (Relatively new also.) You could try flashing it (make sure you do a backup) It could be possible because the desire froyo roms are built from the n1 froyo roms, although opendesire's is compiled from the source.
seems there is a problem with data Package. i removed it (there is only TitaniumBackup inside)
and resigned it.
runs perfectly on OpenDesire 1.3b

Awesome, thanks!
Will try if it works with DeFrost... but i think it should.
EDIT:
Works great on Defrost!
A few weeks back, I could get this working on a Sense FroYo rom. (for the life of me, I can't remember what one it was)
Since flashing different roms, I haven't been able to make it work on any. Always results in the contacts app being removed.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

Really nice.
Di someone succed to flash that on a CM6 ROM? I'm too afraid to do that.
Works on latest DeFrost.
I love the theme, especially the dialer look.

Sound more complicated, here are some stuff I don't Understand very weel.
They are located from post #16 in the original thread you linked in first post:
"U have to rename the file cm6phone.APK to Phone.apk and then dump it in the update.zip, reflash and goodluck. Thanks all"
"I think the CM Rom owners need to get some help from their romdev gurus there"
"No that recovery update is for stock rom owners,
this mod is not working for CM6 users"
Yeah, I don't think its working for CM6. Check the first post in that thread, it links to a few pages for cm6 users.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Yeah, I tried the CM6 modified version, and they work pretty well.
Unfortunately, they are not up-to-date with the screenshots ( older version)
I cannot believe that someone here is not intersted by porting this theme to CM6 to our Desire...
Would be awesome
The complete theme looks sweet (not only the contacts.apk) ! Might try porting it soon, but hoping someone will do it sooner

Hello peoples.
I'm new here, and sorry for my bad language =).
I am facing an issue with installing the live wallpaper in my htc wildfire. I have already go thru some similar threads actually, but I still decided to open a new thread to state my problem clearly. I'm sorry if I'm wrong to do so =).
I've actually found a nexus one live wallpaper ( with I'm desperating for ) in this forum. However, after I installed the .apk file, nothing happen. I have tried to launch it from astro file manager and it says "Activity not found".
At home screen, I choose to change wallpaper, and the live wallpaper doesnt appear there. Same goes to home, htc sense and my lovely ADW launcher.
I have seen people using that livewallpaper in youtube videos, so it should be usable for wildfire right? What is wrong?
Your replies and views are greatly appreciated =). Thank you
If you're using stock ROM, Live wallpappers are not supported. They are supported in custom ROMs.
and finally there's a reply from you guys T_T.
thank you so much buddy.
stock rom means, the original rom comes with purchase? ( i guess so ).
thanks for your info =)
Yes indeed, stock = original rom.
If load a custom rom to my phone & don't like it, would I able to load the stock rom??
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
yes. u can go and search for those unrooting thread. u will get ur answer there. but custom rom has bugs too. so... i'll just wait patiently for the official froyo =).
cheers

I doubt froyo would add live wallpapers. By the way why are there no lwp on the wildfire? the hero has them with 2.1 and that has nearly the same cpu
I have installed Gingervillain 1.1 rom on my desire which i much prefer over sense. The only thing i miss is the HTC keyboard, is it possible for me to get this?

Thanks, I have installed it but everytime I restart the phone it switches back to the android one.
Anyway to sort it?
hi, mine does the same, im on redux though. I think its Gingerbread related, ive noticed that Docstogo app also loses its registration settings on restart. Just a small prob that needs to be ironed out of gingerbread roms me thinks.
Deffo not gingerbread related, im using cm7 and restart with htc ime still default. What launcher are you using ? Could the cause it ?
Move it to internal memory.
hello, can i install an android rom without htc sense or cm7 for example:nexusHD2 then download and install htc sense on it?

Think about it logically, and ask yourself the question 'why would HTC provide their Sense UI, the only thing that makes them different from other Android phone manufacturers, as a separate downloadable software?'. Then ask yourself why, if someone else found a way to do this, why wouldn't people be posting about it and why wouldn't you have found it in a search. Finally, what's the point of installing AOSP/CM7 then just putting Sense on it? That's the same as flashing a Sense ROM, seeing as you want the full experience rather than just the launcher.

AFAIK there's still no hacked Rosie.apk working on every device. While TouchWiz and Xperia Home are, for example, avaliable of everyone.
