[Q] Can I downgrade my trophy? - Trophy General

Hi all,
Ive got a htc trophy running official Mango (7720).
But i'd really like to sideloade xapps etc.
So can I downgrade the mango back to nodo or something else so I can put a custom mango rom on it??
Can someone guide me how I downgrade my trophy??
Thanks!
EDIT: can I just flash this RUU safely without getting it bricked?

I flashed a cooked ROM using the SPL method and now my phone is stuck at the white screen with HTC in the middle. I cannot perform a hard reset and Im unable to reinstall original ROM thru the SD card method. Please help me
Which rom did you use. Most of the new 2.10 based cooked roms require radio 2.08 to boot up. Put the phone into bootloader and flash the new radio.
If you pull the radio out you should be able to then do a hard reset as well as flash via sd card.

If you're using hspl, (the only way you can flash a new radio) then with phone in bootloader, insert usb and when usb appears on screen flash the same way as for a rom.
When I flashed the ROM earlier, I used this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=606713
So now i have to install hspl?

Yes, sspl doesn't allow you to change the radio and you need the newer radio for these latest roms.

Did you have removed HSPL?
HSPL and stock ROM 3.14 isn't compatible!
refresh me on where to check that and how to fix/remove if i do?
My understanding is the official ROM flash will automatically remove HSPL and replace it with the official SPL. No need to do anything, just flash the ROM. And the official ROM includes a radio. The current radio will be overwritten with the ROM radio.

Hmm, it's not recommended to use any HSPL on 3.14 ROM. You had to uninstalled it then return (restore to stock SPL) to 1.42.000 and then continue flashing your 3.14 correct country ID ROM.

is it possible to restore ROM version 1.66.707.1 from my updated ROM version 3.14.707.3 ?
Did you tried to flash the 1.66 rom over the 3.14?
yes I tired, but the process will fail, think its because HTC auto disabled it ..

Yes it can, but make sure ROM You're using should be your default carrier ROM.
Just flash trough SD card, extract .exe file, rename RUU_signed.nbh to LEOIMG.nbh, put it on root directory of your SD Card, then enter bootloader, follow all neeeded steps.

Hello everybody,
I just got my new HTC Desire Z. It came with Android 2.2.1 and Firmware Version 1.82. I want to root it and apply Custom Recovery and then Custom ROM. My question is: Should I downgrade to Firmware Version 1.35 and then Root using this method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905261 . Won't I brick my phone?
Thank you in advance.

in my signature, go to the Radios page, download the Radio from this ROM.
the file you'll want is SPL_Signed.nbh in the stock folder.
I dont think u can downgrade the bootloader just by modifying the the SPL
u need to install the whole rom which is still 4.5 in this asia rom ( not supported by DFT)
so u are back to the same thing

the Bootloader is the SPL...
RUU_Signed.nbh includes OS, Radio, and SPL.
SPL_Signed.nbh includes Radio and SPL.
OS isn't needed to downgrade SPL, therefore...
SPL_Signed.nbh is a better choice.
why better?
smaller download, quicker flash.
