Will the QQLauncher (MIUI) modded version work with this ROM? I am running Ibolt and would love to have the launcher work with a sense rom.

Technically yes you can, just push iLauncher.apk and/or iLauncherClassic.apk to /system/app in the zip file before flashing. Only thing is be careful if you select a default launcher because you could get locked out of one of them.
And FYI...I am working on a Sense based iBolt

Rom, can you finagle "Reverse" lookup (the ability to scroll from bottom to top as well as top to bottom )on next release of this rom or ibolt (WhicH) i am stuck on and cannot let go

Does this need to be done with adb OR CAN IT BE DONE VIa RE or Astro??

You can flash this on top of V1.0 to add the iBolt Launchers. I haven't tested this on BlueThunder, let me know if you run into any issues.

Downloading now and will let you know how it works out.
Will be waiting for your sense ROM with this cooked in......
Thanks.

The big thing that will evolve for the Thunderbolt over the coming days and weeks will be Kernels now that HTC has released the source code.
I am running Adrynalyne's test kernels he just released on BlueThunder and it is testing very well so far. Too soon to tell about battery life yet.
Running overclocked and undervolted at 1.4 GHz and so far smooth and fast.
I will update the OP with a downoad link soon.

I am also happy to report Ziggy's new kernel he just released is testing well on BlueThunder so far, even at 1.8 GHz but time will tell what works best as each tbolt seems to react differently and these kernels will continue to evolve. But either of these are compatible from my initial testing today. Running ziggy's at 1.8 GHz as I post this now.

Hey Romi..no homo but, Am not feelin the love here w/da lack of response. btw, can you link me to Ziggy's latest kernel? I have never been able to OC a sense rom to 1.8GHz since day 1. Let's see if that streak is really over w/this Rom..
Disregard..I found it (http://www.ziggy471.com/downloads/zztest-MECHA-GB-102911-1414.zip)..in case anyone else wants ez access

OMG..Sik Bootup..Long but Sik Can't touch this Huh?? IDK if I wanna install the Disable Boot sound but most likely I'll have to.LOL

Just the first bootup is long, after that boot time is normal.
I am going to have an update to add a ton of Sense 3.0 to BlueThunder. I can either update this ROM and go to Sense 3.0 with V2.0, or release it as a separate ROM (BlueThunder 3D) and keep this one updated as well as Sense 2.1. I know some people prefer the stock Sense 2.1 over 3.0.
What do you all want? Any feedback or input on this?

Honestly Romi, The ball is on your court and you da point guard..We follow your lead. You know everyone will never be on the same page as we all have our own opinions..When there's less options, Decision is easier..Whatever you do,is aaight w/me..Your work is hard enough and I am not the one to extend that..

I'd definitely be willing to try 3.0. IMHO sense 2.1 looks and feels like a thing of the past (like using Froyo when Gingerbread is available). I know there is a good split of people who like 2.1 as opposed to 3.0, but I've been looking for a smooth 3.0 experience on the TB and just haven't quite found it yet. No offense to anyone that likes 2.1 at all.
That being said, 3.0 is my vote. Whether or not you decide to do it, good luck to you.

Got to Admit Zero, 3.0 and even 3.5 is kinda hot..Just not many Skins for either one is why I retain 2.1..Am such a Theme guy

There will definitely be a Sense 3.0 version, in fact 3.0 is basically done but I am trying to work out something a little different than what is typically done to get Sense 3.0 on the bolt. It makes the result much better. And there will be a Sense 3.5 as well.
I've decided BlueThunder will continue as is with 2.1 and I will release BlueThunder 3D with Sense 3.0 and another version as Sense 3.5, probably called UltimateThunder. This is the plan right now....

[ROM-MOD] BluFrost MultiROM Theme [09-09-10]

This project started as just a modified version of Defrost rom and has now shifted to a flashable theme where YOU choose the base rom. Currently it supports Open Desire, Defrost and CyanogenMod. I have also just added an Alpha Deodexed Sense rom version although it lacks some features of the other three. It is made this way with the aim of you having the most choice. It gives me opportunity to work more on updates to actual theme files. The themes should remain compatible with updates to the roms other than big updates.
I will work my hardest to keep the theme updated when necessary.

You now choose the base rom. DF/CM/OD!
Galaxy S style icons ported by myself. (Needs name of source)
Blue Dialer/Contacts (From mythamps)
Black SMS app (From Cyanogenmod rom)
Launcher2 themed subtle blue bits. (Although i use ADW)
Music widget mod (Needs source here)
Some other elements themed blue by myself.
NOTES:
For colours to be set for date and time etc. During flashing a file called cmparts_ui.xml is written to sdcard. All you need to do is go to settings, CyanogenMod Settings (Or OD Settings), User Interface, Tweaks Extras and select import from xml. Then reboot.
This theme is not signed so please disable verification if you are using Amon Ra recovery. Clockworkmod has it disabled by default.
DOWNLOADS:
Disable verification or it will fail to flash. Links may not download files correctly in Chrome.
OpenDesire Theme (Tested on 4.0.4 working.)
CyanogenMod Theme (For 6.0.1 onwards.)
Defrost Theme (Tested on 3.5b working.)
Battery Percentage Deodexed Sense Rom Theme
INSTRUCTIONS:
Download your rom of choice first. (DF, OD, CM or now Deodexed Sense roms.)
Make first boot with rom.
Reboot to recovery and flash theme zip.
Import colour settings from SD.
Done!
END:
Any credits or anything i have missed are not intentional and may just need to be pointed out to me. Thanks.

i guess too many ROM's?
mirror as usual:
BluFrost-R1.zip (83,5 MB)

That's great thanks kmetek. Got a message from drop box about my excessive bandwidth usage lol. Will update first post.
I think youre right about too many roms!
Wicked man thanks :+) this is just what i wanted loved the look of gefrost but didnt want a galaxy style theme so this is top. Hope you keep updating this
As long as richard updates defrost then blufrost and gefrost will at minimum be updated to a newer base.
That's great mate thanks
Running it now. Do you have some battery tips defrost 2.9a seems to cane my battery (i know your nothing to do with defrost but saw somewhere you get pretty good bat even on overclocked rom )
All I can say is I use manual brightness at around 40% most the time. I use juice defender with stock settings. Set cpu I use profiles. I have it set to go to the lowest speed when the screen its off, when battery is below 40% its set to cut speed to half. The rest of the time set to full.
I have weather and face book and twitter sync every two hours. That's about everything. The biggest battery killer its when the optical joypad dies. Requiring a reboot. Which is a problem on defrost, open desire and cyanogen mod.
Is this the same as Gefrost but w/out touchwiz?
Sent from my HTC Desire
It is minus,
Touch wiz
Galaxy live wallpapers
Galaxy ui sound.
Its just defrost with blue theme style and a few extras included in gefrost. Music mod and dark sms app.
Oh and it includes that customisable nexus live wallpaper ;-)

I never claim to do any thing exciting. Anything I have done is what I have done for myself to use and if only 1or 2 people use it I don't mind. It is something that anyone can do themselves but not everyone is comfortable taking apart apk's and editing xml.
I'm just having fun learning.

Maybe not, but this is the perfect vanilla rom. Love the look and feel of the Gala S themes, and DeFrost has always been a great base for roms. I might start learning about deving soon.
Sent from my HTC Desire
I might have a go at this.
what is the difference between gefrost and blufrost??
it seems identical...
You are right they are almost identical. They both use Defrost 2.9a as a base.
Code:
Gefrost BluFrost
Touchwiz Launcher Standard Launcher2 (Slight blue theming)
Galaxy S Live Wallpapers Standard Nexus Live Wallpapers (With Cyanogen Nexus)
Galaxy S UI Sounds Standard UI Sounds
Some extra blue bits (Volume slider, browser loading)
BluFrost is basically Defrost 2.9a themed dark/blue and Gefrost is an attempt at having a Galaxy S experience. All the time using the same awesome base rom. I never claimed it was anything more.
EDIT:
Just to repeat myself. All this is something you could do yourself if you wanted to download all the files and put it together yourself. The image editing and xml work i have done is very basic however i just share it in case there may be one or two users who would like to use it.
Hiiii!
Looks really nice to me! but when i try to flash it i get :
" E:Missing file: data/app/com.koushikdutta.rommanager.apk
E: Verification failed
Installation aborted. "
Sorry if it's a supid question, but, what can i do?
[EDIT]
Sorry, I forgot to disable verification... was stupid indeed
Tried your gefrost as wife has a galaxay but did not like it
Going to give this a try out tho.
Love defrost
Question :- why does noone seem to use the GDE launcher. The cube animation is awesome IMHO

I used to use GDE, but the app drawer kept refreshing every time I opened it. And it was quite laggy. Imo, ADW is top right now.

Oh ffs, I'm just settling in to my Rogers i896 experience.
What exactly is the motivation behind disabling the 'H' service icon?
I love your ROM's, but could you put out a non-americanized version as well? the reason i ask is that a lot of us are I896 users.
Thank You!
Can't wait! Need to get rid of JI6.
This looks promising... It's nice to see an update. I had heard 3.0 was scrapped in favor of Perception (which is kick ass as well), so I'm stoked to see it has come to fruition!
Will flash as soon as I have it downloaded and have time!

Smith

You can change the settings for it pretty easily in settings... not going to maintain another version for date and time formats, sorry.
In case this isn't included in the ROM.
you can drop this logprovider.apk in the system/app before you flash or put it in with root explorer after.
this will take out all the messages in the call log. everything will be the same in terms of filters and such the messages just wont appear.
i have tested it with cognition and the beta 3.0 and it works.

Question
Is this rom flashable with the AIO Captivate Tool? Does it install just like a 2.2 or a 2.2.1 rom? How is it that all the other 2.3.3 roms there are alot more needed instructions for install and not this?
Hey Bada,
Just something I'm toying around with while on business travel.
Took a shot at a purple Swype theme to go with your new 2.3.3. ROM.
Whaddya think? Be honest. I can take it.

Is this rom flashable with the AIO Captivate Tool? Does it install just like a 2.2 or a 2.2.1 rom? How is it that all the other 2.3.3 roms there are alot more needed instructions for install and not this?

I got that at theme market thread...
Will try it out tonight
By the way the modems that you linked to are basically CWM3 compatible, I did not test all of them for CWM2.5 but I think they should work as I had left a copy of the 2.5 update script in the zips as well. So depending upon which recovery you are using, they may or may not work.
why are people hating on this rom? its by far my favorite. speed and looks exactly right! fantastic job man i love it. its working flawlessly for me with one of the talon hourlies. People this rom is incredible stop the hating

[ROM] Stock-Plus v1.2 - Updated 9-3 [KH3]

I decided to make a modified KH3 stock rom to address the issues that others were having with getting the QuickPanel sound toggle and the AOSP lockscreen working with KH3. Everything in this rom is stock with the below exceptions.
I've tested this successfully several times. You will need cwm to install so follow this link for installing the KH3 kernel with cwm.

Thanks ....
Downloading right now ... will report back on experience.
Updates: Ok ... I am running it like from last 4 hours now ... did a little cleanup of samsung apk's using nitrality. pulled out framework-res.apk and kitchened it to add flying animations and modified a little bit on AOSP lock screen to fix the unlock/silence handles as the handles were dark grey but the rest of slider was light grey. So got that fixed.
So far so good. No problems except for the browser lag which I am sure is the result of de-odex. I am using a custom browser from market so major to complain.
Once again ... Thanks for putting this together.
Yes I love a stock theme. It will perfect if you mod the battery % too
Thanks
Thank you very much! This will be perfect on my Wife's Captivate. +1 for battery % included, and maybe choice of lock screen?

Hey guys, I updated the rom to include battery %. I added it in the rom as well as providing it, and a few others, that you can load via cwm so you don't have to reload the rom. Enjoy.
Just gave your thread 5 stars, can't understand mentality of losers coming and giving 1 star to threads. Keep up the good work

Wow! This is perfect. I'm still running a 2.2.1 ROM, I've yet to find a GB ROM that is clean and stable with no bugs or issues. The only thing I can think of that's missing is BLN, but I think that requires modifying the kernel, which I assume we can't do yet? I'd love to try this out, but I don't know if I can live without my back-light notifications!
Thanks blitz76 for adding battery mod
I will find the way to add Data toggle into Quick Panel and/or Extended Power menu too
good job man... one suggestion... please add some installation instructions for noobs
I'm going to give this a go. I really like the Aosp lock screen and everyone use sound toggle more than flight mode.
When you do updates would you consider doing no wipe updates for those that have been with you since "day one"?
Are you going to use crt's powermenu mod?
Oh and I don't know if you'd rather have the green Aosp launcher or not like on the nexus s.
But no matter what I can't wait to try what you've put together.
I am very interested in trying this out cause I loved being on KH3 except I had to do a lot of work every time I flashed to get it how I wanted it and this has pretty much everything... except BLN. I hate to say it but that's a deal-breaker for me. I recently flashed CM7 out of curiosity and was so close to flashing back to a trusted ROM because it was missing BLN until I flashed a different kernel. Now I'm pretty pleased but getting BLN on this ROM would bring me back in a second.

One question before installing when you make new updates it will work via CWM our wipe ?
regards
EDIT I READ AGAIN HEHE I SEE THE NO WIPE VERSION
Hi blitz,
I love your rom. Perfect mix of stock and customizations, except I like the glass lock better. Would it be possible for you to create a cwm flashable zip for reverting to the glass lock, keeping the rest of your mods intact??? Please???
Thanks,
mark
This was a great idea and perfect execution! Thanks.

No power menu
Just flashed v1.2 and Boog's KH3 Kernel2 and I have no power menu at all, I get a soft reboot every time I hold the power button down. Beats me.

Strange, I tried to duplicate what you did and had no problems. I flashed v1.2 full wipe release, then cwm flashed the boog kernel II. It works perfectly.
I think that happens when the string values for extended power menu are missing, or the code in framework.jar isn't there.
Maybe try reflashing the full wipe release...
Got me stumped

Awesome post! can't wait to try it
Thanks for keeping GB alive. I'm too afraid of the EU bug to try ICS. I'll be trying this out today.
My backup captivate's auction ends in 5 hours. That is just enough time to test this before it goes to its new home!
will the collective do a ICE rom ? you all do some great gingerbread work

There was a Fusion CM9 build a while back. But unless a cause or cure for the EU bug comes up it is unlikely.
However I did see the nexus got jelly bean so you never know what might pop up.
AWESOME RobM1911,
Good for you, I can't wait to give it a try.

Okay time to break the seal on noob questions..
Why did it take convincing to post this?
I'm not able to do an exhaustive search because I don't have my laptop with me. If coming from an ICS AOKP ROM, do I have to take special steps, or can I wipe and flash from recovery? My kernel is clockwork based, but I'm not sure if I need to change bootloaders.
Thank you for your work! I basically went straight from froyo into ICS, so I'm curious to see what the GB hype is all about. It seems that there are diehard GB users out there.

the reason it took some convincing for me to do this is I am actually a themer for The Collective not a dev. The extremely talented dev I theme for crt60 has been trying to get me to do a ROM for a while now and MPD ROM is the result.
So if your coming from an ICS based ROM you will have to use Odin to reformat the partitions on your sd card ICS uses a diffrent partition table. I highly recommend the KK4 with repartition by 4-2ndtwin found here then flash the CWM kernel (link in op). You will need to be on I897 GB bootloaders I am not real sure what bootloaders the ICS ROMs use but you can chek your current ROM's thread to find out. If you end up needing them the one clicks linked above has a version with and without bootloaders.
there are a few reasons for the die hard GB fans, there has been a lot of development on GB and some of the features haven't quite made it to ICS yet. There is also the EU bug that has some users afraid of rendering thier device useless from running an ICS ROM. Lastly and I'm prolly gonna open a can of worms on this one but battery life (from what I hear) is better on GB.
Can mods and themes from Legend 4 be used on this rom ?
Edit: I don't think so. I tried the circle battery and on reboot it never got past the boot animation
Signature Block...
Good job Rob, I am sitting here laughing to myself… It only took 3 days for you to put your own ROM in your signature block.
Now people will find it… LOL :highfive:
