I just want to put my 2 cents out here for people to read.
Samfirmware.com was awesome enough to get us the latest leak after I asked on their twitter on Jul 11th, they followed through.
First I hope everyone that downloads and runs EG22 will drop by their site and twitter, @Samfirmware, and show some love, its the respectful thing to do.
I feel like having a mirror is taking away from their deserved traffic to their site and exposure, also they cant meter how many users downloaded it. Even if we just post the hotfile link they provide would be better than putting up a DB link, this way they can see how many US users are interested in the Epic4G. By doing this, maybe they will work more in future to get leaks for our phone because of the number of hits to their site, or the number on the hotfile counter.
Well the direct link is here, http://hotfile.com/dl/124888596/3935e47/D700EG22.rar.html , the password is samfirmware.com
Also I know some people feel that them saying for people to donate more from US, they are not demanding it. It cant hurt to ask, so I signed up for their one time premium deal.
Even though Im gonna DL the flashable version, Im gonna download it from their link.

Its kinda disrespect to put up mirror link in the original thread. should write up instruction to get to the original link via samfirmware - usa section.

Yeah let's thank them for an outdated 2.3.4 when 2.3.5 is the newest for gb and ics is the newest for all of android. Would you take the old model or the newer one...

But I wouldn't thank them at all, what they're doing is illegal, sure they leaked it to us, but they asked for "donations" to get it out.

And how many phones are even past 2.3.3? Better yet, 2.3.4?
But I do agree. Prlly 3 months. We've been getting "leaked" gingerbread roms since like may.
If they keep updating it behind the scenes, we're not going to see a real release because they're gonna keep "optimizing" it. Idk why you people always get excited about one. We get a new one everymonth. Nothings new.
Except maybe the *****ing that's gonna pop up because of stupid bugs like "OMG MY PHONE TAKES 1 SECOND TO SCREEN OFF WHEN I'M WATCHING YOUTUBE /life"

Let's put it this way, the Nexus S will be getting ICS, and the Atrix basically has twice the specs. So the Atrix on paper can support ICS.
The bigger question is how the carriers are going to allow this?
Bottom line, whether it's OTA or CM7 we will see ICS in some fashion on the Atrix...

Agreed, I know that the Atrix will get this in some sort of fashion, the only thing that I "worry" about is the finger-print scanner. I wonder if this will delay the Atrix from getting it sooner, since it is a completely unique device. I just hope the FPS doesn't get left out.

I know google had mentioned that devices currently running gingerbread would be able to run ICS (hardware-wise). Its still up to the manufacturers to create those OTA updates...
Of course will be totally compatible with Atrix! Nexus doesnt have a hardware so different to Atrix! This is the difference between Apple and Google. When Apple says about iOS, they put a date and always launch a public final one week later. Now, Android its a blah blah, all depends of third person, its a shame an OS that grows up like this and have like half of customers in world, they treat us like this. shame!

I read somewhere (no source: read at your own risk) that ics is made for omap processors and Tegra devices (ie. Atrix) will take a while longer to develop... At least through official channels - here's hoping to official CM support!

That would semi sorta explain why Atrix 2 went and put a TI-OMAP Processor in their phone. Interesting.

Wrong. Just like how honeycomb's designated SoC was Tegra 2, the designated SoC for ICS is the OMAP 4. IE Google determined that they were the best SoC available at the time and built their flagship device using that particular processor. It has nothing to do with porting android to various SoCs.

if you have the ns4g you need to download the port of his rom in the nexus s 4g forum. The non port is ns3g only. And at the same time I urge you to try aosp's ics rom, it is more complete mms works, GPS, etc just don't expect to find 4g working on any ics rom at the moment.

Huawei take the source from AOSP and fit it to their mediocre phone.
