Hello everyone,
I recently read / saw on TV that a lot of cell phones are vulnerable to hacking attempts through the bluetooth interface. I heard about these problems already quite a while ago but was let to believe that shutting off bluetooth or choosing the "do not reveal phone to others"-bluetooth-option would solve that problem.
Now I read something quite to the contrary - shutting off bluetooth does not help that much but instead a firmware upgrade is needed for a lot of cell phones.
Now I wonder whether or not my XDA II is safe when bluetooth is shut off.
Since my search query on this topic in this forum didn't return any results I post this question now - hoping to hear from some of you...

Try sending encypted files thrue bluetooth. Anything ellse can be tapped.
I can sync my A500 to my nokia wireless headset without problem. Approximately an hour later it disconnects while watching a movie. Doesn't matter which movie or player program. The headset is fully charged.
This started after Flexreaper R12 but never happened prior on stock roms or the earlier versions. I also ran Taboonay and it worked fine.
Any thoughts? Yes i did a full wipe and load.

I had a simular question some days before.
I'm using a case with keyboard via USB and a mouse via BlueTooth. With Taboonay everything worked perfect, with any Flexreaper.The mouse will be paired but no pointers, no work.
I never got any response on my question.
It seems no one of the developers is looking into this forum.
On the other side I'm not allowed to post to the developers forum because I have not done 10 questions.
This is, simply, bull****!

No problems here on bluetooth , but I know someone posted something about bluetooth headset problems and the solution , If I come across it I will post the link.

[soapbox on/] What's bull**** is someone with three posts *****ing about not having a hotline to the Dev of a great program that didn't cost you a dime. When Windows dumps on you, do you drop Bill Gates an email and get a callback? Devs here have real jobs and real lives, appreciate what they do for us.

Hey you anonyme guy, that was very polite what you wrote.
If I have only this one problem to post for, because all others is OK. Then it would be the best way to do it in that part of the forum where it belongs. So the developers can see it directly in their thread!
Thats all.
And there is absolutly no reason to do a posting like you did. This style do write other people is very easy done in your anonym corner!

Solation for passt post, somewhat same issue with bluetooth...
Hi there to you all.
First up, quadruple kuddos to Civato for the rom, it kicks butt and is great.
Concerning my previous post about graphical crashes during games (like NFS, NFS HP, etc,) was related to this specific unit.
It seems to suffer from intermitant hickups during certain process(like flashing, etc)
If any one comes across the same issue, simply factory reset tablet, empty all caches and reflash rom.
As for the bluetooth issue, I seem to have something similar going on.
First up, all my devices (Acer bluetooth keyboard, Bluetooth Mouse and Rocketfish Headset all pair and work with the tablet)
The headset loses connection 3 to 4 times before it connects properly.
If I watch a movie with Diceplayer, MX video Pro or V player, and if the headset becomes disconnected, the movie starts playing in fast motion with no sound.
I tried everything to close//force close the player and empty cache, etc and nothing works.
The only way to fix that problem is to reboot the tablet.
The mouse works fine so does the keyboard.
Any toughts?

I could not post on the developer thread so putting it up here. I flashed the zip file that was shared on this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2807178) and to be honest I just loved the visual improvements that google have done in the L version. However, I found some issues which I need to know whether are resolved or not. If it happens to be posted somewhere else, please direct me to the thread.
Bluetooth Connectivity: I drive a lot with my phone connected to the car all the time. After flashing the ROM, I found that there was no option for phone audio in the bluetooth connection settings. Therefore, I was able to control the music player (since media playback option was there) from the car console but I could not access any calling functions/phonebook/recent calls, etc. from there. Has this issue been fixed? If not then I might have to go back to stock KitKat with Xposed which I was using earlier.

So I have not seen this one listed... I have been running into a VERY obnoxious intermittent Bluetooth issue. I'm very curious to know if anyone else has had this happen or is having this happen and if ANYONE has any sort of workaround/fix/thoughts/help! I'm having a terrible issue with Bluetooth on my 2015 S85. I'm concurrently working on the Android side to also research.
The problem is with my Nexus 6P running Marshmallow 6.0.1. This is why I'm fearing it's a narrow issue, how many of you who have a Tesla also have a Nexus 6P?
Issues:
1. Bluetooth connection is terrible between this car and my phone. The Bluetooth drops frequently and does not reconnect, or during a call it will just go silent even though it is connected. I am not pressing mute nor anything else to trigger this other than answer the call via the vehicle
2. The really bad problem I am experiencing is where somehow my phone is wiping ALL bluetooth connections when it connects to my vehicle (intermittently this is). This would be a minor inconvenience if I did not have existing bluetooth connections for various other devices, vehicles, watches, etc.
Has anyone else experienced these issues? Can anyone offer any sort of solution or work around/suggestion other than NOT connecting the phone to the Tesla? It is only with this car that my multiple connections get wiped.

After ive been suffering with poor bluetooth range (From my pocket to my ear bad) I found a random post on OP forums with a guy saying he fixed it by toggeling "Bluetooth Antenna Diversity" In developer options. So I tried this out, and damn now the range is just as my old phone.
But now my question is, does it come with any unknown downsides toggling that on?

Yes there is..
Normal Bluetooth usage involves emitting signal in all directions and then a direct line of sight is usually obtained and a direct link made between the source and target devices.
Diversity works by reflecting off anything it can in order to obtain the connection required.
Whilst this can work great Vs an unstable connection, it has a downside..
Input lag and response time mainly.
I've had this issue with a MacBook and the magic mouse 2 and magic keyboard 2 and trackpad 2 and several Bluetooth devices, in my front room from a distance of only 10 feet.
Problems involved disconnects, unwanted input and sporadic movement, also noticed it on a second device, Nvidia shield tv pro (the new £200 box)
So what was going on?
Well there's a soundbar in my room that uses Bluetooth, connected to my rear speakers, Alexa is also in the room and that is constantly transmitting.
Now unless the top android box and a £2k MacBook Pro with all the top accessories are all malfunctioning, there has to be a simple explanation.
It's the signals getting mixed up, blocking each other, interlinking and causing problems.
Sorry for the long explanation but that's my experience.
