[Q] Flipout BATTERY DRAIN ISSUE - Flipout and Charm General

My wife's got her motorolla flipout a couple of months ago and there seems to be an unknown issue with battery drain. Standard battery drain for eco use let's it work for about 2 days.. which is reasonable. However, sometimes after charging, maybe after it turns off because of lack of battery power and charging it back, the phone works just for a few hours... like 5 or 6 hours max (!!) seems strange and don't know how to deal with it.. Any1's got the same problem?

Yesterday I was playing with a Flipout, it ran out of battery (using 3G connection). What was very weird was that I connected it for about 5 minutes to the charger and it went up to 60%. It has a very strange power management...

Sudden loss of battery capacity

had my hd2 for a couple of months now, battery has been ok, normally if i didn't do much with it it would probably last a couple of days.
But over the last couple of days i've seen my battery capacity disappear, today i unplugged it from the charger at about 9am, by 3pm i was down to 50%.
Of course i checked all the usual suspects, but found i have no apps running, no wifi, no bluetooth, no data connection and i had made or received no calls or text messages
while i investigate what might have changed over the last week or so, can anyone else offer some suggestions?
how is your signal where you are, if it drops from H and 3g it will use more battery power trying to get the signal back, or you could have a damaged battery
Having the same issue right here, just in the past few days. I got mine 'round christmas. Maybe the battery is of poor quality, so it looses capacity after "few" charges (remind how often you have to recharge your hd2 under normal conditions).
looks like it's solved
tried rebooting and resetting with the reset button but no joy...
i had installed a trial version of Navigon 7 last week, i removed it last night and the battery consumption is back to normal now. Strange as Navigon wasn't even running while it was draining the battery, maybe it has some process running in the background?

Heat heat heat !!!

Hi,
Last night i plugged my legend in to charge, it was really drained after 3 days and 13 hours.
So while it was charging i was listening to music via bluetooth and surfing the web via my APN.
After 30 minutes i noticed that my legend was extremeLy hot.
Then i also noticed that the LED was blinking between orange and green.
I stopt using my phone for a while and the LED stopt blinking after about 15 minutes.
Has anyone else experienced this ?
It has been "hot" past several days (25-30 degrees celsius).
heat is quite normal cose of aluminium body...but i didnt notice that led blinking
I noticed the blinking LED in my car today, too. The HTC battery widget showed 47.3° C (117.1° F).
I'm afraid something wend wrong, my battery lasted only 5 hours today, regular usage...
No GPS/WIFI/3G, Only "sms's" and EDGE connection (mine normally lasts max 2 days with this type of usage), but now only 5 hours.
It drained so fast, like i was using gps. However when i looked at the combining power-widget it was disabled...
Now after a full recharge gps was enabled ? Strange...
So lets hope its gone last my party-night and the gps was on before...
(totally off-topic: party-night -> I passed my exams when I totally didn't expected it (PARTY-HARDY !) FYI)
if you have many apps on the phone the battery drains much much faster..
i made a factory data reset, and now my phone is clear, like a new phone.
and i noticed that the battery is draining much slower, before i did charge the phone almost every night, but not there goes 3-4 days without charge
Ok, it's fine...
I know about the apps running but i've got a taskmanager running. It is clear that it was the gps.

Another (weird) battery problem

So, few days ago I had 17% while talking through FB Messenger (fast battery drain while on 3G, but I get used to it)... situation made me to lock the phone for a while (before starting the conversation phone was in my pocket for few hours... temp outside was ~5 celcius deegres)... when I woke it up, it was 5% battery and then suddenly jump to 0 and turned off... from that time I have problems with charging... It stops charging and only reboot helps to continue charging... for e.g. (timezone does not matter) today I was using phone last time something about 12AM... phone was charging and last % I saw was 45... I woke up at 8 AM andd... it was still 45%... only after reboot it started charging further (starting from 45%)... I'm wondering what happend...
PS: no apps causing such drain during charging... and when I'm playing any game during charging it phone is discharging! Like incoming power is smaller than that which is needed... I hadn't such problems till now... like there's some kind of blockade... I'm afraid my battery may be fckd up

Sudden battery issues - stops charging anywhere between 77 and 91, sudden drops

I've owned my Note 4 since October 2014 and it's been working solidly since. Last Thursday, out of nowhere, I noticed that from a 14% charge, it suddenly dropped to 4%. I immediately scrambled for a charger and charged it back up to 100%. On Friday, I charged my battery normally again. Charging finished at 11 AM but the drain was abnormally high. My phone was warm to the touch and battery was dead in 4 hours. I was using the phone normally throughout that time, 4g on, location services/bt off, screen off for the most part. I ran OS monitor to see whether any app was locking up the CPU, but, as expected, the main CPU users were Android System and Android OS.
On Saturday, I charged the phone to full again, disconnected around 4 pm. Being that I was home, both wifi and 4g were off. Battery discharged normally, and was only down to 30% on Monday morning.
On Monday, I noticed that battery dropped from 21% straight to 11% straight to 4% in a few seconds. The drain from 4 to 3 to 2% was decent (few minutes of screen on time, on viber), then the phone shut off. I tried to charge the battery with the device powered off, but noticed that the phone simply stopped charging at 80%. I thought that was an abnormality. I tried wiping the system and app caches, but the problem persisted and drain still felt pretty fast. Tuesday night, the phone stopped charging at 91%, staying at the same level for 40 minutes before I gave up and unplugged.
My friend had purchased a fake OEM Note 4 battery and allowed me to try the drain/charge process using his battery to troubleshoot. When I first plugged his battery into my phone, the drain was high at about 1 percent per minute. When I tried to charge the battery, the charge level would not go beyond 90%. I switched on safe mode, but the battery did not charge any further either. I felt by then that something was definitely wrong with my phone. When I restarted the phone to get out of safe mode, though, it suddenly started charging again and hit 100%. With regular use, the fake battery gave me 16 hours of power, which I thought was relatively decent. Alas, when I started charging it again, it stopped charging at 77%. Battery Monitor Widget showed 0 mA flowing into the phone at the time, though the battery indicator in the status bar showed the lightning bolt.
I took out the fake battery and put in my original. It is now charging up normally, but I expect charging to stop before I hit 100%.
If anyone could provide possible explanations for what could be going on and/or other troubleshooting tips to try, I would really appreciate it. A factory reset would be my last recourse.
Thank you very much!
EDIT: My battery went all the way up to 100% this time. But it's the same one that got stuck (at 80% then at 91%) twice in the past.
I'm using two different Samsung chargers and different cords, by the way, and blew out the port with air prior to attempting to charge the fake battery that still stopped at 77%.
I had the same issue, took it to Samsung and they replaced the battery, it has been okay since that

Really? I was ready to write off my battery and just buy a replacement, but what was weird was that even the newish fake battery wouldn't charge fully. That's what made me worried that it's my phone that's the problem.
It'd be great if this could be as simple as a battery problem.

samsung grand prime G530 0% battery

my mobile is 6 years old (2014) and has been working well, the battery lasted around 2 days idle and 1 day using considerable ammount of whatsapp and camera until yesterday 2020-05-02
i went to sleep and now 8 hours later the phone was turned off, i tried turning on when it booted to the system it was on 0% battery and turned off right after
i put it to charge (still the original 1ma charger and usb cable), and it charged at least faster then usual (from 0 to 100 in more or less 1 hour , should take at least 2:30 hours)
using androind stock rom 4.4.4
is there anything i can do to fix this, or is it a sign the phone is dying?
thanks

have you tried to "calibrate it"? maybe it will help you with this problem. I do not say that it will be 100% good, but it should improve this bad behavior.
