Beats audio for sense 3.x ROMs flashable - Droid Eris Android Development

I haven't tried this yet but, check it out. Beats audio processing for sense roms, only works with 3.x. I may just jump too a sense rom to play around.

[Q] Sense 3.0 sms app?

Hi, does anyone know how to install the sense 3 messaging app on older versions of sense? It's just so much better than this stock Desire app!
I'm running Tabasco Silky v2.0, an AOSP ROM.
Try pushing the apk to system/apps with setting permissions. Not sure, tho, it may require sense framework.

It worked for me when I was on coolBravoS ROM, so it's okay with Sense 2.

I don't think any other EI22 rom has it, but random has these mods as independent flashable zips. He actually forgot to include the low battery video mod in the final release of 3.3, and has it in the op for thunderhawk 3.3. You should flash it if you have not yet. It will allow the default video player to run below 10% battery for those that don't know already.

Some third party video players can run to zero as well. These are modified versions of the stock tw video player and camera. His camera mod also allows silent shutter. I don't remember what cm7 uses for these as default. I have not ran it in a while. There may be other tw EI22 roms out with these specific mods, but I don't recall seeing any. Stuff changes fast around here and it's hard to keep up with everything available.

[Q] Removing Beats Audio

When I started flashing I only stuck with Sense ROMs and audio playback was so so for me. When I tried out CM7 with DSP manager I was shocked at the difference in sound. DSP Gave a whole new life to my ear buds as well as my BT Sony S9-HD's. But thats about the only thing that I really enjoyed about CM7. I would rather have a Sense ROM but my phone is my only mp3 device and I can't stand the way music sounds on Sense ROMs after hearing music while using CM7
I've looked around and messed with a few of my sense roms with Beats removing the lib files associated with beats and the stock libs and replaced them with the libs associated with DSP Manger as well as the apk but the sound just isn't the same as when using CM7.
So what I'm wondering, is there a way to remove, before flashing or after, all sound files related to audio playback and replace them with the necessary files from CM7 to make music sound as if I were on a CM7 ROM?
try the Equalizer app on the market, I personally use PlayerPro with the DSPpack

is beats audio only included in that ROM or can someone get it separately?
seeing how your question is how to remove it i take it that you wouldn't recommend it would you..lol
i too am currently using equalizer, it's great except for the annoying icon on the tray in the top left corner
i believe it works just as good if not better then beats as it is compatible with all songs.
i hear beats only works with stock music on some devices

From what I've read it showed how to intsall beats. I'm assuming I can do the opposite by removing the pieces to beats before flashing and replace them with the ones for DSP from cm7?

That should work.
Download the CM7 ROM and Download whatever Sense ROM you plan on flashing (I personally recommend Bindroid and all it's Glory )
Put both Roms on your computer if they aren't already and extract the zip files.
Navigate to
"System/App" Find the Beats APK and remove it from the Sense Rom.
Navigate to the System/App directory of CM7 and Pull the DSP Apk and move it to the Sense Rom you are using.
Rezip the ROM you plan on installing and sign it.
Install.
Note that I don't know 100% that this will work; I don't know how beats is installed, and I don't know how DSP is installed it could be more complicated then that and you could also end of soft bricking your phone if it is from a system incompatibility. If I'm wrong then I apologize in advance, but there's still that chance that it could work.
Will I need to change the lib files from the /system/lib/soundfx folder as well?
Sent from my Glacier using XDA
My assumption would be yes. Because MIUI and Sense are so different I don't know that it will even work. You will probably have to pull everything related to Beats. I'm still just starting, but you'll probably have to edit your install to direct the extra install components and tell it to fix the permissions. (I haven't dabbled much there but I'd assume that should be fairly easy yet slightly time consuming)

lol Know the feeling; I'll pull the CM7 ROM and the Bindroid Rom and work with them to see if I can't get what you wanted to be done completed and I'll let you know ASAP; I might give it a try before the end of the day; if not you might have to wait about a week (Sorry, trying to fix my ROM as well atm lol)
Hey, np! Thanks for the help too! This is the kinda thing that makes xda what it is.

He doesn't want beats. That's why were looking to remove it
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA
looked at taking out beats from a sense rom and putting DSP in and I think its beyond my scope of knowledge.
The files in the flashable zip don't match up with whats in an rom zip so I don't know what I should and shouldn't take out....
Did someone found a way to remove it since when I flashed with JaggyRom which have BeatsAudio sound is extremely worst.

[MOD] HTC Amaze camera V8 for Sense 2.1 (synergy vision only) to 3.5

Warning it appears this does not work on sense 2.1 (other than the synergy vision sense 2.1 rom since I tested that personally), so flash on sense 2.1 at your own risk.
I have this running flawlessly on my synergy vision sense 2.1 rom.
All I modified was the media profiles.xml file to match those of the v8 to have full quality no compression photos using a diff type tool to spot the differences quickly. This however causes pictures to be almost twice the size (in my case I took two identical photos and one was 700k while the second was 1.2mb).
I cant tell much difference but I am sure less compression must mean better photos.
BTW be gentle, this is my first post and though I am an experienced programmer I am not a veteran in android.
Those who use it, post your findings as I am very interested if anyone notices any differences.
By the way thanks to adakaya1994 for the orignial v7 posted.
Also thanks to asim0 for asking for this update, I wasn't aware such an update existed.
ps. use at your own risk and please back up your device before flashing this zip.
YeH now camera force closes after flashing this. Great....
Thinly file you posted is bad. It's not the size listed.

Sorry I reuploaded the file, not sure why it was corrupt in the first place, I've tested it and its ok. Make sure you can open the zip when you download the file.
This is definitely NOT working on sense 2.1 camera and camcorder again force close. Restoring back up again. Someone else's turn.

which rom are you using?
now I feel pretty crappy about screwing up someone's phone causing a restore. I installed sense 3.5 from android revoulution hd 7.0.2 and installed this patch and the camera again works great. Is it just my just chance or is it the rom you are using?

I found that using Cyanogen Mod 7 + the high quality audio patch gave really good video results. If you don't like the standard camera app then I'd go for a Sense rom.
But if your going to be filming and taking pictures in low light then the camera on this phone will not cut it.

Drivers, I suppose, or the Camera app isn't optimized for it. That's just me guessing. I do agree though that the image quality from GB/2.1 Sense ROMs are much better compared to 3/3.5 or even ICS ROMs. I'd go for Virtuous Sense 2.0. Tried that back then. It wasn't perfect, but with a few tweaks here and there (Supercharger Script etc.) I got it running smooth and stable.
