[Q] alexander m1u1 on doom kernel wifi - XPERIA X10 General

I would ask in his thread but I don't have 10 posts yet, but i'm on Alexanders latest v6 rom testing with doom kernel, so far wifi's my only setback. i've tried several of the wifi mods, any help would be appreciated.
here is my logcat

Exchange support

Hi Guys,
So testing out Hero for work at mo and cant get the exchange email working. I put in the details (exactly like I did wit Winmo) and it says "failed to connect to the exchange server. Please check Exchange Server Settings". It does this almost straight away without really trying to connect?
I tried the "Enforce password on device" exemption i found online but still saying the same thing - driving me crazy!
Any thoughts please?
HI,
Have you tried connecting with SSL enabled?
I'm having no luck with Exchange (2007) either... On WinMo had trouble with certificate, but downloading that self signed certificate in mobile browser was enough... not on Android.
Via root-access I mounted /system writable and downloaded /system/etc/security/cacerts.bks Then I imported my self signed certificate with keytool into cacerts.bks and put it back on my Hero. But still no luck.
So, anyone?
Tried SSL enabled, still didn't work.
Funny thing is, this was a breeze on WM!
strange no issues here with my exchange on 4smartphone
Exchange
Connected to exchange 2007 + ssl no problems .
I had this prob . I now use an app called roadsync . It works well no major issues

Hi I had the same problem. I figured out it was down to have a 'space' in my username. If you have access to the server change your username to not include any spaces and see if that helps?
There are issues with HTC and security polcys enforced from Exchange - From what i can tell the exchange client built into Sense UI doesnt support password enforcment.
If you have a password enforced from Exchange then you cannot use the built in client.
yes, but this particular issue would seem to be before you even get to that stage. I might turn on the password policy and confirm that gives you a different error.
my gut feeling is either the port is wrong (ssl/no ssl issue) or the address is. Are you trying this over wi-fi? Can you try http(s)://yourservername/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync in a computer's internet browser? (yourservername is the same as the "server address" field on your Hero, whether you use https depends on if you have SSL enabled)
you _should_ get a password prompt. If the username/password is wrong, you get 401 unauthorized. If it's right, you get 501 this-isn't-a-web-page-you-idiot error instead, which confirms all your settings are right
@s4vva: There is no space or other special character in my username
@frymaster.127: The https://myserver/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync is giving a password prompt and a 501 error.

Tried looking into the dedexed com.htc.android.mail classes but couldn't find what's invoking that error. Then again, I'm not an expert in dedexed file reading.

all change i tried again to sync with the phone rather than rd syn and it now works fine
i dont kknow wot i did differnt
Hi all,
I'm having problems setting up my Exchange account – I've entered in all the correct details and it's prompted me for what I want to sync (i.e. Mail, Contacts, Calendars), and when I select all of them and hit 'finish setup', it comes up with an error msg saying "Failed to create the account. Please try again later." – Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?
^bump^ for some help RE: exchange setup problems.
Does it work with Mail2web's Exchange service?
Thx.
i use the full My hosting Exchange by the same company as mail2web and tht works ok, some sync errors from time to time but you just hit refresh and it is ok. Think this is more to do with phone than the service.
Still no probs here,
Exchange works fine =)
im with one pim , no probss now
perhaps you should try useing road sync first , then once that is set up try again for some reason it worked for me
no problems at all with 2003 server - works really well.

are you using wi-fi or 3G? if the latter it may be a signal strength problem?

I get the same error, does anyone have any idea what would cause this?
This phone would be perfect if I could just get exchange to work.

My HTC s740 has an ssh server running on it...

..or is it just me?

Can anyone reproduce with their windows mobile phone?
I wonder what potential finding the login info would have.
Lol, 192.168.0.102 is IP of your PC. Phone has probably 192.168.0.1.

[Q] has anyone got pptp working

I haven't been able to get my pptp working from my viewsonic and was wondering if anyone else has been able together there's working. Works fine on my nexus so I know it is the tablet.
Currently I am using the CM7 Roman but I have tried a few now and non work (including stock).
I am using TNTL 4.4 and with 5 VPN I can get PPTP working.
Cool, is that the gtablet tnt?
What is 5 vpn, i haven't heard of that before?
I should point out it is a viewsonic 10s not a gtablet
there is a gtablet forum this is vega there similar devices i know
Thanks bob the Viewsonic 10s can use the same roms as the vega, my understanmding is only the GSM radio drivers are different.
I still can't get PPTP working on the 10S when trying to connect to a Microsoft VPN server. From reading a lot of posts this isn't out of the norm but I am supprised when my Nexus can connect but my tablet can't.
removed due to double post

[Q] Scanning large number of BLE Tags

I was looking for a possibility to scan a large number of BLE Tags (StickNFind) in a single scan. I have noticed that when I scan for 10 seconds I can detect around 20 BLEs easily. When I increase the scanning interval to around 30 seconds and try to scan a large number of BLE Tags e.g. 200 Tags, I see an error in the LogCat about buffer overflow (GKI_exception). This problem occurs somewhere in the core Android libraries, which I am unable to debug. The exact error log is attached.
