Hi everyone,
At first at all i would like to apologize for my language.
Well...
I have HTC HD2 LEO for East Europe.
I change Rom to Artemis HD2 ROM and it goes well. After few days it realese Artemis HD2 ROM Family Ver 22.0 Gen 2 and I update ROM.
At first boot it load normaly but after soft reset it stuck on HTC logo with information about ROM etc in left down corner. Then i do hard reset and htc load rom but the soft was unstable and when I put off battery it stuck on HTC logo even i do hard reset.
I read a loot about white htc logo and do many trick,
I try to instal official rom for east europe using usb connection, but instalation stop and 9% and triangle apear. Instalation stop at difrent stage for difrent ROM's, sometimes is 24% sometimes 2% but never goes to end.
I try instal by sd card but sytuation is that... 3 color apear, very quick white screen with "Loading..." and back to 3 screen color and nothing more. I try with 2 different cards unnamed 4GB and kingston 8GB.
I try to instal different radio 50 and 51, SSPL, HSPL it's says i mus have 1.42, HSPL2/3 it's stuck at usb connection searching. I forgot, 3 screen color show me i have 1.66.HSPL XE.
Only one operation goes well, to 100%, Task29 provided by doloop, after that HD2 buz and show only white htc logo. But when i try to do more... change radio with task29 it's stock on 24%
I don't know what to do now. Mayby goldcard will be helpfull but i don't shure what is wrong with the sd card and i don't now how to do this goldcard.
Thank You for eny sugestion,
I will try to do enything to wake up my HD2
Ask if You need more information.

I know this might be a dumb question but is your sd card formatted to fat32?
nvm try to put on orignal SPL? and than try to flash to stock rom with Sdcard?
i suspect that.....
when it first wouldn't boot artemis 22 you needed to change the radio not the rom but then you flashed official rom by sd card it removed hspl and then failed because wrong region.
boot to boot loader
install hspl3 choose 2.08.hspl
return to boot loader
flash any radio mentioned in artemis thread using usb
return to boot loader
flash artemis
when phone starts to set up force hard reset
allow to boot
let us know how it goes
thank You for request
roloracer
there is no dumb question but dump anserwers . Yes, card's are formated using fat32
Veldmuus
how can I put only SPL? any solution?
samsamuel
"boot to boot loader
install hspl3 choose 2.08.hspl"
I try, and it's strange. When I go in to boot loader plug usb cable to htc the "serial" change to "USB" and it is the end of my work becouse when I run HSPL3 it's stay at "Waiting USB connection..." and no else happend.
Mayby it will be succesfull if I use to do this sc card but.. as You know it isn't work.
When you tried to flash the official stock rom back from the sd card did you make sure the rom image was called “LEOIMG.NBH” and on the root of the sd card.

try all different usb ports. try to not use ports in the front of pc case, use one around back of the pc.
also right click hspl and choose "run as administrator"
My hd2 see sd card beacouse when slot is empty "Loading..." don't apear. When I plug card "loading..." is apear but only for one socond mayby faster.
root.. you mean file not in eny folder, just on starage card without any folders, yes?
I called leoimg.nbh every time I put file to sd card
What operating system is on the pc you are tring to flash hspl with?
samsamuel
how do You know i use front usb port?
I plug to other usb ports but effects are the same. What I discover... when the HSPL3 is searchin usb connetion and I pluget off hd2 from usb there apear Critical error from HSPL3 program. It mean probably HSPL3 connect to hd2 but stuck.
I work on Xp profesional SP3
hspl is picky about which port it uses.
Personally i would enter bootloader manually, connect to usb, wait for 'serial' to change to 'usb', and only then run hspl3.
what radio rom is currently on the hd2?
Well.. Every time i try to instal something I go manualy to bootloader. As I say hspl3 stuck at connetion with hd2, i can turn of program run again but nothing happends.
Probably radio was 2.10 or official now i dont remember but I gues 2.10
When you connect the phone to the pc the pc does detect it, right? becuase i had a couple of instances where i've tried to install updated radios, ran the installer and windows hadn't finished detecting the phone and that caused a connection issue and the radio installer to quit but when i ran it immediately after this it worked fine.
So i suggest you get the phone to the bootloader manually then connect it to the pc an then leave it a few minutes before you run the hspl3 installer.
Guys... all of You are brilliant. If I don't ask what the problem is on this forum probably I cry on my htc box. But I don't .
It's working... rom instal and everything goes well.
The thing i change to work: I change home I was in my second home and now I'm In my family home special to test instal HSPL3. I have here other USB cable and other computer with XP OS. I read all post and do all again.
First I plug usb cable to front panel... too fast, my bad. It's going wrong.
Then I read about chose different USB connector... too fast becouse when I try i fail, but read last post, plug htc to pc, go make coffe and back. Turn on HSPL3 and it's work, find my hd2 and give me a choose witch spl to instal.
Then I back to samsamuel post and make his instruction. When I end every thing work very well i restar my hd2 and by the now i don't see eny problems.
At finish I would like to thanks

Thank You very much Guys,
Good news! and now a long deep breath of relief.
No problem dude. The wait is caused by windows XP needing to install and then load a couple of drivers so it can talk to the phone in bootloader mode. If you're not amazingly rich like me (OK i'm not really) and can't afford a cutting edge PC like mine this may take a few minutes to complete.
Hi, I have installed HSPL and attempted to load android on my HD2 Leo phone with the latest version. Once to Flashed the ROM my phone booted to a very basic Windows Mobile Energy O/S which keeps trying to boot to android. Once it starts booting android I just get a blank screen and everything freezes.
I am trying to restore my original O/S but even when I do a hard reset it still loads up Windows Energy. If I try and flash my original Windows Mobile ROM HSPL loads on the screen but it gives me a USB error connections.
So basically, Im stuck with this basic Windows Mobile Energy. Can anyone help (step-by-step if possible) with how I can restore the original Windows Mobile ROM onto my HD2 Leo. This problem is really stressing me out!!!
Thank you so much!
You should really make sure you know what your doing before you do it.
Ok, first check on your bootloader screen to make sure your device has hspl installed correctly.
download the normal windows mobile rom for your device, put your device in bootloader mode and connect it to the pc using the usb cable.
Run the ruu program.
When I load up the HSPL screen and connect through USB it just gives me a USB connection error. That's part of the problem
I am getting the same error too..Did any find got a solution for this????/
flash rom from SD card be easier if ur having USB problems,
yes try flashing the phone from the micro sd card but you need to use a smaller size card like a 1GB or so. enter bootloader and the flash will automatically start.
have you tried a hard reset?
You can find the method in here!

First post, how to uninstall
Its very easy!
Hi everyone! At first sorry because my english is not better than my french
My problem: I have an HTC hd2 with a white screen and the SPL 1.42.0000 (i can go to bootloader). I google it and can't find any solution, i tried to instal HSPL (with hspl2/3/4) without success (usb fail connection) i have the same error with an task29, and an hd2toolkit. I tried to instal from sdcard but i have the error "radio v2 fail".
I think this is a problem at height of XDA developers ^^
PS:I tried to change Computer or usb port and execute as administrator but nothing...
If you coul help me it will be realy nice.
is the phone recognized in device manager? If not its a driver problem.
also do the usual ( verify its not the usb cable, try different usb port,) if drivers are ok
thank you for your help
The computer recognize the device but without OS (white screen) i can't do anythings with Activesync, i tried other computers and other usb port/cable but nothing. I think isn't a driver's problem because the instalation with sd card don't work.

Don't understand what you mean by "white screen"?
Try installing a stock winmo for you device to make sure everything is ok...
i tried to instal an official htc rom from sd card but it doesn't work, by "white screen" i just wanted to say that when i turn on my phone the screen is white.
It sounds like you have done a Task 29 and you do not have a ROM on your HD2 right now. This is why you just boot to the white screen.
You do npot have to use Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center to flash via RUU. You just have to have them installed because the haqve the USB drivers for the HD2's WINCE Bootloader in the programs and they install the drivers when you install the program.
The drivers in Active Sync and WMDC allow you to have a HTC Sync connection in the bootloader. Just boot into the bootloader by holding down the volume down button while powering on yuour HD2. Next connect your HD2 to your computer via USB cable. Wait and watch for the Serial in the white bar of the bootloader to change to USB. When you see USB you can run a RUU.
Now to address your 1.42.0000 SPL, this is a older SPL version and you may have to keep trying different RUUs until you get one that will flash. Just make sure if you have a T-Mobile HD2 that you do not flash any radio version below 2.08.50.?? or any radio version that has a 51 in the radio where the 50 is in the first radio I mentioned, or you will brick your T-Mobile HD2. Look for the radio version in the RUU name it will be there.
Sometimes the HD2 develops what is referred to as a "stuck radio" when they have these early SPL versions like yours. This is why I say you may just have to keep trying different RUUs until you find one that will flash.
Hey there Community,
I really don't know much about mobiles, especially the HTC HD2 and flashing ROMs,
but somehow I got Android to work on my HTC HD2 1 year back and now wanted to sell my phone because I got a new one.
Therefore I needed to set up the factory settings and get Windows Mobile 6.5 back on my phone..
Unfortunately I failed hard while following the instructions of a tutorial that said I only needed to rename ruunbh to leoimg and put it on my SD-card and so on.
Halfway the update was interrupted and since then Iam getting "00028002 Not allow" error and can only boot to the bootloader saying "Upgrade ROM code error Please try again" And the usual things in the red disctrict and at the bottom it says that I got an USB-connection which seems to be wrong, because I can't see the device and so on.
I tried to install HSPL4 but it failed due to no USB-connection.
So what can I now do to make it work again? Iam really frustrated
Flashing image from sd is all good if it original correct country/vendor rom, if not you get your problem & things can be tricky as HSPL was replaced with standard SPL so care must be taken.
Either find a correct Vendor/country (CID) ROM for your HD2 or get it in bootloader & able to flash HSPL.
Would of thought for resale a good Android build would be more desirable.
I know what you mean, but the problem is that I just don't know what to do..
My phone is not branded or anything, so I couldn just go to htc.com and get me the newest winmo Rom?
The Problem is, what to do then, exactly?
It seems that I can't flash anything because I dont got usbconnection..
So no idea to original ROM country vendor !
usb connection may be due to driver issue on PC, install Activesync if on XP or WMDC 6.1 for Vista & Windows 7 then retry connecting hd2 via usb .
*Also make sure you know your version of HD2 & be aware of .51 radios killing US T-Mobile HD2s.
Try to flash 2.08.HSPL only (also in HSPL4). It is enough. You can also try these drivers to fix your USB connection.
And here you can find offical ROMs.
Drivers linked above are not suitable, install activesync or WMDC is best option.
Finding original ROM is not going to be easy if you have no clues to origin of handset ...
Also, just cost you don't "see" the phone from the p c doesn't mean you don't have a USB connection.... it will never show up in your drives list like it does when an os is running, and activesync (or wmdc) will also not see the phone when it's in bootloader.
If the phone shows "USB" (and your PC may even "ding" when its plugged in, that's all you can expect unless you look deeper,, into the hardware list, for example.
What does hspl line say?
I'd do....
Hspl4, choose 3.03.hspl (NOT 3.03.0000)
Flash unbranded 3.14 rom from USB
Report back.
I have same story - 00028002 not allow+no usb.
no one stock rom can be flashed.
completely lost and no idea what to do.
Hi!
I've been using an Andriod NAND for like 2 years now and decided to upgrade to IcecreamSandwich. I installed HSPL 2.08 which I believe I had before anyway. Then I tried updating my radio but I get connection error 262. Apparently my phone wouldn't synch with WinMobileDeviceCenter. When I bootload I get serial and when I plugin it changes USB. But device doesn't get recognized. after rebooting I can start my Android no longer - MAGLDR 1.11 says ...boot mount failed. So I'm stuck in MAGLDR 1.11 and I can't ever restore to WinMobile original ROM. Any ideas?

if you put the phone in bootloader (4 colors Screen - HSPL 2.08 exc..) and show up USB when you connect it to the PC, it should be recognized from the application flasher, no PC.
Try to go in bootloader and when you connect the phone to your pc and when show up USB try to upgade and flash MAGLDR 1.13, (no MAGLDR 1.11 the old one) the last one.
Are you sure you used the right Radio for Leo?
thanks

When I try updating either the radio or MAGLDR in the install instructions there is this step2 where I have to establish an activesynch with my phone. I can't. So when I run the update it starts but progress stays at 0% both on PC and phone screen. After a few minutes I get error 262.
I'm trying to install radio 2.15 from Jayce Ooi's Paradise
Forget about active sync, you will never get an active sync connection unless win mo is running,, ,that'snot what the instruction to "get an active sync connection" means. It means get a USB connection, which uses the active sync drivers.
Try different usb ports,,do not use a front mounted usb port, only theones inthe back of the machine.

find another radio from XDA for HTC HD2, "radio 2.15? What this mean? from Jyce Ooi's Paradise" do not mean anything, I know Jayce and he is an amateur, not master.
You don't answer on questions given to you, if you want help, do you flash from bootloader? turn-off phone, keep pressing volume-down, press button on?
In bootloader, when you connect to pc, show up USB on the bottom of the screen?

The same thing happens even with the original radio (RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.66.479.2_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship). What question haven't I answered? Yes, I flash from bootloader and yes USB shows up on the bottom when I connect it to the PC. When the updating of the ROM image starts there is no progress - neither on the instalator, nor on my phone (it shows HTC and a progress bar with 0%). After a couple of minutes I get Error 262 and "The ROM update utility has encountered a communication errors during update process."
Is my phone bricked?

Bricked mean dead, no life at all, your still alive but there is some errors, you should be happy to turn-on the phone in bootloader and usb be recognized. You have to try flash ONLY Radio 2.15.50.14.
If you can't flash the radio which I told you try to erase your rom with this tool.
you can update you magldr 1.11 to 1.13
you can update you magldr 1.11 to 1.13:highfive:

thats not a radio, thats a rom that includes a radio, but also includes an spl, , 1.66.0000
Are you SURE it still says x.xx.HSPL in bootloader? because hanging at 0% is very often associated with not having hspl installed.

exactly, I forgot about that!
Also if you really have x.xx HSPL is no more a problem of you Phone but of you PC, so try different OS, even XP, and still trying. IS NOT THE PHONE.
