Unlock Code Not work after odin back to stock - Vibrant General

Need help I unlock my phone by code sent by t-mobile it worked fine.
Then I odin back to stock since CM7 was not working right.
When I odin back to stock I also clear the internal phone storage from under settings/ sd card.
Now when I boot up with at&t card and have to enter unlock code so I enter it but it says unlock network unsucessfull.
why doesn't the code work it used to work?
also does it have anything to do with clear phone storage and missing efs folder?
How do I get back the efs folder?

I solved it. I ran a market app galaxy S unlock
gave me a code of #FFFFFF say go to next step and backup my efs than patch it to unlock sim.. so I drag the efs folder to root and looks like all the efs files are back

Unlocked Phone locked again

Hi there
I Unlocked my vibrant about a month ago amd this morning I powered it on and I was askef for thesim code numbers again. I was just wondering if anyone would know what would prompt this or have had this problem? Or if this is normal
I am going to unlock it again, but I just dont want to have this problem again.
Or is there anything on my phone in the settings I should have set off , so that phone will not automatically go locked again. Some how I am thinking maybe Bell might have put something on the network that was downloaded that changed the NV_data and re locked my phone... Not sure though... Any thoughts? Never heard of a phone that was unlocked being locked again randomly.
I used ADB Shell and changed the NV_Data file and it unlocked it for me.
I did not type in any 8 digit sim code. I have a backup of my original NV_Data file. For unlocking it should I copy and paste it back on to my phone or try to unlock it with the NV_data file that is currently on there now?
It is rooted but still in JFD, I am thinking of flashing the phone again to erase everything and start back fresh. The phone seems a lil buggy and slow.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

[GUIDE]No BASEBAND version, NO signal, CANT call, etc...

Hi everyone, I made something funny that worked today
Scenario is the phone has no IMEI, no BASEBAND, cant enter the service code *#*#197328640#*#*, can’t call and gives force close, and in short the phone is useless. HAHAHA lol.
The history of the phone is HARD BRICKED after my big brother flashed a kernel onto this phone after upgrading to 4.0.4. he wiped user data and along with the EMMC file, it became unresponsive and doesn’t turn on anymore.
I had it recovered using MEDUSA box and after I got the BOOT/DOWNLOAD mode. I flashed a firmware with DXxx.xxx baseband. im so glad that the phone was completely working again, ALMOST hahaha. When I inserted my stupid SIM, it doesn’t want to pick up signal an found out that there is no BASEBAND version as I checked it on about phone, or dialing *#1234#
I have done some research and I knew that I is gonna be the RIFF box again that will fix this thing. What am I gonna do to a phone that doesn’t pick up signal at all. I flashed it over and over again even the MODEM alone but still no luck.
Things that I have done to have it work though with a wrong IMEI
1. Root the phone
2. Installed SGII repair
3. Backed up the efs folder (either using ROOTexplorer/the SGSII repair app)
4. Downloaded the EFS pro
5. Downloaded the .NET framework 4.0
I tried repairing the EFS using the GSII repair but still no good after reboot, and used the the EFS pro to repair it but still no good. After rebooting couple of times I don’t have signal.
Imma make this short now
1. Root your device using whatever method u can use
2. Install root explorer and copy EFS folder to your internal SD card then paste it somewhere on your computer. (name it as ORIGINAL EFS)
3. Now use the SGSII repair (download it in app market)
4. Use the repair method then back up the repaired EFS folder on save/restore option (REPAIRED by SGSII repair app)
5. Paste the .tar file to your PC/Laptop and extract it and name the EFS folder as repaired EFS folder
6. Use the EFS pro and click on format the EFS folder. (make sure before doing this, you have repaired the EFS and BACKED UP the repaired EFS using the SGSII app)
7. Connect your phone to your pc and mount the storage to your PC/Laptop
8. Copy the extracted file you have backed up on number 5 (using winrar)
9. Copy the content of the extracted repaired EFS by the SGSII repair app to the ROOT EFS folder of your phone.
10. Then click the Repair NV data / Attempt NV recovery
11. If that did not work just reboot the phone first and do the number 10
12. Reboot again the phone
13. Once rebooted the phone will then have the icon of w/out sim, has baseband, and once you inserted the sim it will then have coverage to your carrier
14. Do it with a little bit of luck
Enjoy your phone with wrong IMEI and the screenshots I have put on this thread are, after I have done everything but previously it doesn’t show the BASEBAND version and everything. but after i have done THESE steps, it suddenly displayed the baseband version and i had signal
I tried doing this but it has just gone with the no baseband version again

These steps worked for me and I have a working phone with wrong IMEI.
Worked for me :highfive:
Any helpfull steps / posts / links that would completely recover the ORIGINAL IMEI would be gladly appreciated

A phone with wrong IMEI will be blocked in 2 days in my country
I accidentaly flashed in a i9100G ROM on my i9100 (regular one, no NFC and nothing extra), not even an unlocked one, and i lost all my phone thingys.
But i am a bit nerdie, so i searched for my problem here, and discovered that flashing an 9100G modem is a really bad idea, so i decided to flash an LP7 MODEM/RIL back and evrything went to normal (at least in my case)

better backing up your EFS folder to your SD card cause it contains a very important file...

[Q] L3 E400f ”This phone is permanently locked and cannot be unlocked”

Hi folks
This problem I have with this Australian L3 E400f is after I dial up 2945#*400# the unlock menu pops up as normal
selecting "network lock"
results in message "This phone is permanently locked and cannot be unlocked"
at no stage do I get a chance to input any unlock codes.
I gather there have been more than 10 failed attempts to input a NCK code, thou I am sure this is not the case it was straight out the box new.
the phone works just fine and dandy with all firmwares I have flashed as long as I have the telstra sim card in place.
I have used a Brazilian (V10D_00) stock firmware (using KDZ) hoping that the failed count lives in the firmware, it does not.
I have used CWM and flashed cynogen , this did nothing only the stock firmware allows 2945#*400#
gone back to my aussie V10D_00 telstra firmware and factory reset, then hardware reset..
I dont beleive this is a ROM issue. I am only guessing this is a EFS problem, anybody have any idea's if ADB or LGNSPT can get me out of this jam..
LGNSPT seems like a nightmare to get up and running and I have never used it before. I have once before on a samsung phone deleted the EFS folder (after backing up) and the phone generated a new EFS folder, I had my way with it then retsored the original EFS folder.
is their other methods of inputing the NCK code with ADB or else ?
thanks in advance this one has got me stumped...
all the best

(HELP) with NV DATA

Hey Guys I need some help with Nv data (EFS )
The NV data baseband is I9500UBUAMDE nonetheless my firmware baseband is I9500UBUGNJ1
I think this is why my phone do not have a stable conection with cel-towers...
So I need to know, how to update the nv data without corrupt it?
Kindly regards,
AG
Just flash a stock ROM using Odin. This will ensure that the bootloader and modem match.
Already did it some many times... Without results...
The phone is missing the imei and MAC address?
No one is missing...
Phone signal Goes out and in.
However while the phone has signal. I can call and navigate on internet..
Do you need the efs folder?
If the phone has an imei, then it seems like the efs folder may be fine and something else is happening.
So flashes are successful in Odin?
Could the phone be blacklisted? Was it ever dropped? Tried a different SIM card? Tried our SIM card in another phone?
Ok, I have to be honest... I was on 4.4.2
I try to use galaxysim unlock. However EFS was v2 and I restore a v1 efs folder in order to unlock the phone. It works. However after upgrade to 5.0. It start to fluctuate the signal...
Note: v1 and v2 are versions in matter of security of the EFS folder...
That is how this how begins...
Did you restore the original version 2 efs? Do you have a backup of the original efs? If not, I'm not sure if an nvwriter will help.
I think I do not have one...
What should I do?.....
I'm not sure what to suggest. Maybe Google nvwriter and see if it works with your phone.
