This is to let everyone know that i bypassed the mytouch 3g gmail setup without rooting or sticking someone's sim card in. I flashed two files and now running 2.2.1 with cyanogen 6. So to everyone that says it's impossible i just did it.

I want to fix my 3G issues without going through verizon so I need someone with a spare verizon phone to activate my line on their phone and then I switch right back. Hit me up on Google talk. I would be very grateful

I did this recently... Just modify the fourth and fifth to last digits until you find one that works.

PM me with some details on how to do this

If you still need a device PM me. I have a blackberry storm I no longer use.
I'm really curious as to why you feel you need someone else's phone to do this. 10 minutes with customer service would have fixed this for you already.
Would I be able to do this if I am not the account holder? I have the password to activate other phones but the account isn't in my name nor do I have any other billing info. That's why I never called. :/
If you have the relevant information to allow you to ask for support, they should help you.
If you don't, talk to the person who does and have them call for you. There's no reason you should be denied service for such silly reasons.

you need to be an authorized user. ask the account holder to put you on that list
Thanks, I'll just do it that way.
Hi everyone, I am from Greece and I am studying at turkey. The problem is that turkey wants to register the phone imei with my passport in order to work with their companies.
I have registered last year my last phone I had, the xperia mini st15i with its imei and now that I am in vacation in greece I took the nexus 4.
The things I want to ask is that can I change the imei of this phone?
If I change will the phone has any problems? And my last question for someone that is from Turkey or if someone knows, if I put the xperia's imei in this phone will it work with the turkeys network?
I really need help with that guys, I hope there will be a solution. Thanks a lot for the community help you are providing

changing IMEI is illegal in most (if not all) countries.
you won't find any advice or help about such things here on xda.
In my country is not illegal. I just need answer for my questions, I don't want help fir changing it

Might not be illegal (which in itself is dodgy as hell) in your country but as it is almost everywhere else in the world it's not allowed on here...
I know my friend, I will not change it.
Let's take it otherwise, I am just curious and have some questions. I'm nor telling that I will change it.
Does anyone knows answers for my questions so I can give away my curiosity?

No, and I've reported this thread to be closed as it's banned on here...
Thread Closed, any discussion regrading the changing of your imei is strictly against XDA rules, now may i recomend that you don't ask this question on XDA again please.
Thanks
I'm newbie. I hope someone can have the answer for my question. I got a brand new Verizon Note 3 not activate yet and I wonder that can I use TMO sim card after I root it? Please help. Thanks a lot.

You should've gotten the T-Mobile version if you wanted to use it on T-Mobile...
Yeah you should be able to use I it on t-mobile not sure if lte will work though

You'll need to put Tmobile APN settings to connect to Internet and send/receive MMS. I believe you CAN also enable LTE band 4 so you can connect to Tmobile LTE. See the service menu thread on how to do that.

The best root I've used is Kingo Android Root HERE. Doesn't even wipe the phone.
I have two discount codes that I won't be using that expire at midnight tomorrow (Wednesday). Posting them here so someone can benefit. Please respond with something like "Used #1" if you managed to use it.
