sth isnt letting your phone go deep sleep
Have oxygen and i also have awake line. Dont know what held X5 awake.
Same problem here.. Maybe some backgroud proceses.
WiFI was left on, but I think it should be automatically closed on standby. Im using Oxygen rom without kernel modification.
The application that usualy prevents phone from deep sleep is stock Email.apk application.

This is not standalone app. Its integrated in System menu. Go Settings > About phone> Battery use and there you have it. Im talking for Oxygen ROM but I think its the same.

I only got about 5hrs barely using my device while at the rockets game last night. I noticed my screen was on 100% at times before and not sleeping. According to the reports.
So when I got home I opened my Battery History app [free from market] and found the root of the evil. Even tho I had Weatherbug not updating or any alerts, it still caused my fone never to sleep.
Uninstalled weather bug and my problems are over

That's actually very helpful.
if the screen is off, does that necessarily mean it's sleeping ?
(asking seriously, not snarky)
AND.. thanks for pointing out the additional functionality, functionality (anyone see short circuit ?? LOL)
I'm gonna wait a few hours and peek at mine and see what the culprit is
EDIT: this can also be found in Spare Parts for those that don't have that app yet.
Thanks a lot, that you found it useful. My mission is complete lol.
Correct, under normal conditons having the screen off puts the fone onto sleep mode. Kind of like a soft suspend.
But having a bugger of a program can keep your phone awake, with the screen off.
And you are right, those settings arein spare parts, which most of us have. As this function was ripped out

Its not getting any less...it just goes up and down...I usually update my apps as needed but I don't think ALL the apps are due for an update? Anyone else experiencing this? Edit :: Wow...now its at 94...! What the heck is going on?? I tried rebooting the phone...but it made no difference.
Did you set it to sync with AppBrain?
Try going to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications.
Then go to the "All" tab and find Download Manager and clear data for it.

Hello guys,
I found something strange in GingerDX ROM that I have marked in screenshot
Even this process can't be stopped more than 5mins. It starts itself.
In other CM7 ROMS there is no such process that is running in background.
AS written in second screenshot "kept for better speed", may be this is the process that also provide speed to system but also drain battery.
What do you think about it..??? Did anyone also found this..???

Hit the THANKS button if I helped you!
This mail was delivered from my W8 using Tapatalk!!
android core apps is a cached process. so it rests in the green half of the RAM indicator line. closing it wud result in less RAM

GingerDX v022 on Stock Kernel... NO SUCH PROCESS
"Running" shows ...
Maps, Settings, Maps, Android Weather, 3G Watchdog, DSPManager, Google Services, Android-Keyboard.
It's also not listed in the "All" tab, and I even can't find it with Titanium Backup.
Better investigate which app/mod spilled it into your ROM.
Hi,
I just installed Xposed module Unbounce.
Could we use this thread to share our settings ?
It might help if you explained a bit about what Unbounce is for those that don't know, and link to the info
Xposed Repo - http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ryansteckler.nlpunbounce
Play Store - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryansteckler.nlpunbounce
It seems this provides the same functionality as Wakelock Detector and Wakelock Terminator. @Lennyuk Would you mind confirming this? And is there anything this or the other apps do that the other doesn't?

Not used it before, but as far as I can tell its like a hybrid between Wakelock Terminator and Greenify.
One of the first modules installed after root. Worked great on my aosp S3 and so far so good on the G3.
I set most of the settings to 300.

RILJ= 400
NlPWakeLock =400
NlPCollectorWakelock= 400
UlrDispatchingService= 400
Now these work for me. I didn't unbounce everything that woke the kernel or cpu under 3 min. I get very few wakelocks anyway and my phone deep sleeps 90% of the day
I used unbounce "default settings" for 2 days and noticed a stutter swiping through my home screens. Using Nova launcher. I un-installed the app and everything was smooth again.
I'm wondering does Unbouncing(taming) do more harm than good?
Example: if a process can't complete a function, will it make more calls in an attempt to complete the process.
Hi All,
past for months randomly cell standyby and Android OS has been eating my battery.
However past 2 days using WakelockDetector, it shows the Google App waking up my phone many times (screens below) - anyone know a fix for this?? Ive only got 'Ok Google' enabled on the app and location services off - thats the only things i can think of??
pebble is a normal wake as i was using it earlier in the day

He can use a Samsung system app disabler even without root, such as this one that I use:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hecorat.packagedisabler
Just disable the Google app package with this

Wow this looks useful - did you see a battery increase after using this? Don't want to pay really if its not worth it.

It's just a package disabler, and if you have a wakelock that consumes battery, disabling it will of course fix the problem. When the app is disabled, it's the same as uninstalled = it can't wake your device and no battery will be consumed
