Hello!
I have an xperia X8 and I have plans to install a ROM. I'm looking for two different ROMs: an Android 2.2 and another Android 2.3 . What ROMs do not have bugs and also have built-in multitouch ( i mean dualtouch) and App2SD?
I await your response.
Thanks!!.
Regards,
José Luis

No rom has bugs, 2.3 is better, and multitouch..hmm depends on what digitizer your x8 has (Synaptics = Simple dualtouch, only meant for pinch-zoom, Cypress: Real dualtouch)
All roms have some tiny bugs. Those bugs can be annoying sometimes.
The most fastest ROM is still Android 2.2 - FroyoBread.
All GingerBread roms are more than fine, they are just slugish sometimes. Multitasking is better on 2.2. This is because our device have pretty low ram.
Anyway, CM7 roms have touchscreen bug, (search for it), Cm6 video rec bug and camera crashing.
Bug are almost 0 at both but it's not perfect yet.
I recommend GingerXperia or Froyobread to start with!

I tink if our tiny x8 with tiny RAM running stock dialer, sms, contacts on CM7..will be much much smoother den we ever imagine.....
Any DEV interested?
You´ll need to port the SE framework to CM7, but then you will also have a SE-style status bar and so on, that means you would have a CM7 ROM that looks like SE´s Eclair....it has been done for Froyobread, so you can try this if you want.
On froyobread ??...
Yes, I think so.
Just search for it in the Apps&Themeas forum.
EDIT:
Gingerbrad WILL NOT be smoother if you port the SE framework, because 2D isn´t working so good on Gingerbread for X8 now, so this won´t help.
If you a smooth ROM in scrolling and so on, try a CM6-based one, like Floyo, FroyoBread or miniCM6.
Hello, i am a complete novice in this subject, I recently bought a x8 xperia and the truth that the android 2.1 bored me. I want to change the android 2.2, looking for videos on youtube I found this /watch?v=d7RTsPKXfog (SORRY FOR THAT forum will not let me post the link) i loved the theme of this phone I think is the HTC. my question is, if you know what exactly are these theme and what tipe of froyo version used. thank you very much.
sorry for the english (google traductor)
That's a HackDroid ROM by racht. Specifically, Floyo 0.15
It's a very stable and fast ROM. Thread link
ok, but in these froyo dont work the camera ??
Camera works fine. It's in 3.2 MP. I say, better install Floyo 0.20, it's better.
If you are looking for a stable, fast and full working ROM I suggest you FroyoBread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079463

+1 IMO FroyoBread is the stablest and smoothest ROM out there for our X8s
yeah i like these version but there are abaliable in spanish language ?
yes, "espanol" is available
For T-Mobile (US) HD2. I'm looking for GingerBread (not Froyo) SENSE (2 or 3 or 3.5) ROM which has everything working, including camcorder. No lags, no glitches and fast/smooth. Does it exist ? I tried some of them
My problem is that some 3.5 ROMS are great (Energy, carl1961), but very slow for me. AOSP ROMs (e.g tytung's) are speedy, but not having ability to link accounts together sucks and overall UI is not as nice. ICS ROMs are full of bugs yet.
So I'm looking for GB Sense ROM now. Any ideas ?
i tried every sense rom on this forum..and the only one that work's everything is rcmix3d but not the latest version..for me it's version 4.0.2

No, there is no good GB Sense ROM. Only things that work are CM7 and MIUI.
All Sense ginger roms have camcorder issue.
edit- actually Arkatis 2.1 ginger rom works great.
also dungphps sense 2.1 roms work great as well.
hope that helps
Thanks, will try both of them
Hy, I have the eu version of HD2. I see a lot of roms with sense 3.5
if I never use the camera i Have some other problems? like hotspot,wifi,3G,battery drain?
Actually i use a CM 7.2 dorimanx based rom. There isn't a rom with sense 3.5 that work greatly like this?
They're all laggy
Team Blue Droid ROM is the best!
Hi All,
I had upgraded HD2 from WM to Android 2.2, however it's unstable lately (rebooted occasionally).
I'd like to know:
1) how and which version I can upgrade to?
2) Is 2.3 more stable than 4.0 now?
Thx a lot.
Boku
Don't mess around and flash this one because HPD6 is the best one at the moment:

So far, it's working ok, but kind of slow and not good whilst using Chinese IME.
Any suggestion in terms of its Chinese input method?
Many thx.
I'm actually using this ROM: NexusHD2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860
it's a really good rom, stable, no bugs (they ares patched frequently, keep the thread).
And for a better fluidity, install Adreno GPU driver (Armv7)

Hello,
I am developing a music player and want to test some of its features on API 10 (Gingerbread) - that's Android 2.3. I have a HTC Touch HD2, could you point me to a nice 2.3.x ROM (2.3 would be best, as it's oldest).
