screwed up my recovery image and my rom, now I really need to reflash my recovery via fastboot so that I can get back on track, but I can't find any links anywhere! (and the ones I've found are broken)
I need a correct download link because I'm having trouble finding it
Either clockwork or ext4 will do, and it doesn't have to be uptodate either.
please and thank you!
UPDATE:
Nevermind, I found the official clockwork site.

I have had my eee pad transformer B70 running custom roms for a while, but yesterday I decided to use rom manage to flash a newer version of clockwork mod. Since then whenever I reboot I am taken straight into clockwork mod recovery. and i am also unable to install anything through it. The only way i can properly boot into android is by holding volume - on boot. I found out that this version of clockwork mod (5.5.0.4) is buggy and that I needed to flash a custom recovery like this one, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1213723 . The problem is that i'm not very tech savy and I need detailed step by step instructions on how to flash it.(If someone could link a vid or pics that would be great)
Thanks in advance.

Thanks but the problem is that im not sure how to use adb.
Then you should read about ADB.
I managed to find some instructions on how to use adb now. I should be able to fix this finally. Thanks for the link above.
It took me long enough but I finally managed to fix it. Turned out that I was typing something wrong into cmd.
Hey guys, I got TWRP on my N7 right now, don't like it at all. I want to go back to CWM. I imagine I could flash some zip to put it back on but I think I can just push it to the N7 and apply it that way. Probably better. Couldn't immediately find any CWM to flash.. all seems to come as an image and I believe you can only apply that through adb or something.
Can anyone tell me what exactly I'd have to do? If I can get back to CWM I have confidence to know I can flash any ROM again.
EDIT: I found some other post too that I could sideload it.. or something like that but when I tried it it just gave me a command list. I read elsewhere that it's likely my adb is too old.
Appreciate it!

Hi there
So, I can't enter recovery when I go into the bootloader to do so. I click 'recovery' and it just shows the black start up screen with the google logo. And nothing else happens. Ever. I reflashed recovery, and was able to get into recovery to install a new rom. However, after that one time, I was once again, unable to enter recovery. Now I haven't the time to be reflashing recovery just to get into it every time I want to, so I looked for a solution.
I did some reading around and apparently it's the bootloader version I'm using. (According to post five in this thread, and my assumption that I'm having a similar problem to this thread's OP.
Now if that is the solution to my problem as well, I need a bit of help. I can't find a file for the old bootloader, nor do I have any idea how to flash an old bootloader. (And please know, I wouldn't be asking had a google search not come up fruitless).
EDIT: Would flashing a completely stock 4.4.2 image update my bootloader? I wouldn't mind doing that, rooting that, and then just installing purity rom or something.

Hi Mate ,
I been looking for the same but for other reasons , to flash it is not too difficult for what i see in this thread tell how to do it manually:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2150251
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2417097
in the first one they even have a zip version of it which should install like any other zip from recovery
Also you can use a tool kit like NRT which makes life a lot easier once you got the bootloader image...(advance utilities)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766475
My problem is that i do not know where can i get the different bootloader images...
To your question i think so , bootloader should be included in the factory image......downloading one to confirm.
also check this information

If you download the factory image, extract it, the bootloader is in the folder. Then just flash through fastboot. Just make sure you download the correct bootloader for your device
For anyone reading this thread, my solution was too move to the 4.32 bootloader from JWR66V. I flashed the .img file from this thread using Wugfresh's fantastic toolkit. (linked to in the 2nd post of this thread).

I would recommend learning how to use adb and fastboot. Toolkits do not always work as expected and you will then need to use fastboot to fix it
I accidentally tried doing a factory reset, and flashing an incorrect rom. So I lost the stock rom, and have no other rom to use. I tried using TWRP to flash ASUS's stock firmware from asus's support website, under firmware. Using firmware file: "UL-Z00T-WW-1.16.40.763-user.zip"
but TWRP tells me "E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/TWRP/Stock.zip'
Error flashing '/sdcard/TWRP/Stock.zip"
I still have access to both adb, fastboot, and TWRP but I cant get an OS to install.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, haven't even had this phone a day yet, and already may have broken it.
I don't have an answer to your question , just got this phone yesterday and am in the process of figuring out how to root and install a custom recovery for this specific device.. I have found many methods to root but none for my specific model. I think you have the same model as I do and was hoping you could lead me to the place that will give me the files I need.. the box my phone came in has the model as ASUS_Z00TD (ZE551KL).. Sorry I wasn't of any help to you, hope you manage to figure out how to flash something that will get your device running again!

I used @rczrider 's post in this thread, and was able to get root. http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-2-laser/general/wip-root-ze550kl-1-16-40-763-t3275760/page3, good luck!

Happy to know that it works for you.
Whenever you got stuck in this situation, just flash stock recovery & you will able to flash stock rom again.

Do yo mean this stock recovery? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64441364&postcount=9
How do I flash it? just "fastboot flash recovery stock_recovery.img" ?
If so, I've tried that, and TWRP still boot when I try to enter recovery. Also, once I've flashed the stock recovery, do I just place the firmware on the root of the sdcard as 'update.zip' and try to install it from there?
Thanks for your help already, and sorry about the repetitive questions!

Thank you! That worked perfectly!!
Hello there, im quite good with the old ADB and FASTBOOT commands but I am stumped, and its probably a silly little thing I have probably forgotten.....
I lost my recovery, after flashing completely going back to stock, got all drivers installed, but couldnt get recovery installed any way.....
so i visited this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/firstaid-zip-revert-h2os-mm-beta-to-lp-t3306967 and it worked, and i have twrp 2.7.0 on the phone, but I can remember having 3.0.2.2 on it, so i download the .img file from the site, and flashed that via the images section on twrp recovery, i reboot, and ..... no recovery....... so I have to flash the first aid zip to get 2.8.7.0 twrp installed again....how do I upgrade it.....I have working drivers, access to fastboot, but I am being a bit dumb!!!!!! HELP!

I would suggest that you flash 3.0.2.2 recovery image via fastboot. Remember to reboot to recovery after you flash it for the recovery to stick.
Need an expert
