TW4 luncher port - Optimus One, P500, V Themes and Apps

-(libglcanvas.so)- Is the file sorry i said wrong earlier
So have been reading in touchwiz ported launcher that its only work for armv7 devices and I've seen why its only can be running on armv7 devices however i am not able to fix it.
But the new tw4manager is working.
New launcher loads the background (before it didn't load the wall)
So soon (hopefully) armv6 devices will have a working tw4 launcher
Inside the new TW4Launcher theres a lib called libglecanvas.so (and that one is related to any armv7 devices, if we manage to replace or edit that one we should have a working TW4 Launcher, but it may be a bit slower

in almost every opengl compatible android device there is this file named "libgles.so",
this file you can find in /system/lib/ ... you cant use this file from another device without
to make sure you have the right dependencis for this file - it can work alone

Because it has specified "honeycomb" as min. SDK level in the manifest file... somebody will have to change that to "8" or "9" I guess
then we will have to try and see if there is something missing from the framework etc...
I am too much noob to get it done properly...

You can pretty much guarantee it'll be using 3.0-specific calls for things like the GPU acceleration. There's a lot of new additions in the 3.0 SDK that the 2.x libraries just don't provide.
If it can be made to work, it probably won't be very worthwhile. It'd probably pay to stick to Dolphin HD or Miren or something in the meantime.
If someone has the patience to hack out the non-2.2 compatible bits and make it go usefully, then I'm happy to be proven wrong of course.

New Android market available

New Android market available for 2.2 and later.
Description from engadget:
If you're on Android 2.2 or above get ready for an update to your Android Market experience. Google has just informed us that a new version of the app is incoming, a version that will add tabs for easy access to Google Books and Movies. Starting with the more visual purchases, at $1.99 you'll be able to start watching movies almost instantly, and apparently see whether Chevy Chase will ever take his family on a successful vacation. But, if offline access is key, you'll also be able to download the misadventures of the Griswold family for later viewing. Books is now integrated too, saving you the hassle of having to launch the books app, which required you to then open the browser to actually buy any digital tomes. Overall the new design looks cleaner, finger-friendlier, and the addition of Editor's Choice apps should make it easier than ever to get to the good stuff. The update will be rolling out gradually over the next several weeks and, once you've been admitted to the club, you'll be able to download the Videos app as well.
Check out the video preview .
This give the hint How ice-cream sandwich UI will look like. Forget WP7, here comes the boss.
you can download this APK yourself if you're feeling brave -- and impatient. Other link : here

I'm guessing it goes to system/app and then set correct permissions after deleting your current vending apk then reboot but someone will have to verify. You need root explorer or es file explorer in 'root explorer' mode or something along those lines. Obviously you need root before evening thinking of try it. Pm me I you need help. Yes, it's really awsome! Just a little lagg when pressing the back-button in the Market... It also shows apps I got installed, but I haven't paid for LOL. Unfortunately you can't update them, well you can but you've to pay then for them hahaha.
Have it installed also on MIUI Froyo 1.7.3. Nice thing.
Rename vending.apk to ...bak (rootExplorer), copy new-vending.apk to system/app, rename it to vending.apk, set permissions to xx-,x--,x-- and install it, ignore the error message, reboot manually. Thats it!

App is slow cause it is not optimised for our phones or due to custom rom.

Ok, I've been asked to upload this. its an iphone style rom, i ported it from the htc hero. it works but it has major faults.
faults:
wifi not working.
no wake from deepsleep.
screen gets flickery.
As I have been asked to upload by a few members I have, I personaly don't have the time to fix as my partner has fallen ill and I must look after her. the time I do have is dedicated to MY-UI and the miui port. if a dev wishies to fix then please take this rm as your own. . . it is built on cm7 beta 3, so if you complete please give credit.
PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD FOR USE, DEV ONLY.
good luck and god bless.

1. Flash CM by Grief_07

It wont be the same. The framework is the onlyway to get half the apps working. I dont know why you would think otherwise. Try it without and see. Some apps will, but not all. Plus the settings will not work. By all means prove me wrong, but you wont manage it. Music, gallery and such are reliant on framework.

looks really near to ios
really great looks
prob is screen flashes some time
compass,camera ,back light not works
as jusada said its only for devs
But i feel there is only major changes in framework rest same(may im wrong)
but if only major changes in framework then devs can port it to cm7 2.3.7 rather than solve prob of this rom as it may easy compare to solve lots bugs(its im feel not sure,it depend on jusada's answer that it work on cm7 2.3.7 by porting framework?)
its only opinion devs know better
though have to say great work its really awesome
really respect your work
any one want to see screen shots go here its same as in this post as i cant post sceenshots due to flashing screen

That may be a stupid question-would this MOD work if I am not using the stock Android browser? What if I am using Dolphin Browser for example? Would it work still?
Thanks.
It works but it broke about 7 of my apps including this one. I couldn't fix it by fixing permissions either. I uninstalled a few and reinstalled and that did nothing. The only thing that fixed my apps was doing a reflash of my current version on CM7. Thanks for the mod....its much appreciated but I can't run it stable with my everyday apps.

Works like a charm on PBv1.6. Just finished watching a whole episode of The Walking Dead on cm7 browser without any glitches or stops...used only 4G too no wifi.
ok so I extracted copied lib folder over to system/lib, reboot and I notice nothing different, lol. Something I did wrong?
So I retried the mod again and I received the same results. I found that whenever I am using an app that reaches out to the internet (XDA, gmail, etc) as soon as a request is made, the app crashes out or reloads the previous screen the phone was about before I began receiving data. If I remove your HW Accelaration files and reflash my current version of CM7...the problem goes away. I do see that this mod is fast! I wish I could get my apps stable with it though :\

Install ASUS Stock on-scrren keyboard on custom ROM?

Hi all,
Is there a way do install the stock (on-screen) keyboard on a custom ROM? I'm thinking about flashing my device with the latest CM10 ROM, but I really like ASUS' own keyboard.
So, has anyone an idea how to extract the keyboard; already has it; ported it; or anything at all that might help?
Cheers
I would really like this too, bump.

I'm just thinking out loud. If you were to root the tablet, couldn't you pull the ASUS keyboard apk from the tab, and then push it back after you've installed your custom ROM?
Or, I'm trying out Apps2Zip on my Galaxy S3 (gt-i9300) and perhaps you could use that to flash the keyboard back onto the tablet.
I'm not in the mood of flashing a custom ROM to the tablet and finding out that it wont work..
You need to be rooted get the apk some lib files and a few modules i believe
