No. It's launcher2 from the G2 system dump.
This screenshot should show it a bit more; no home app has screen previews like Launcher2.

Which keyboard are you using? I have had problems using Swype in the Google Search app and I can only use the Swype keyboard in Quickoffice. I mainly use Swiftkey but that has become inconsistent.

The screen becomes unresponsive if you touch the area left to the menu button or right to the search button. In landscape mode the area that is now under the menu button is often accidentally touched by myself and the entire screen is unresponsive. Maybe if they wouldn't had disabled multi finger touch it wouldn't be a problem.

Are you rooted? If so, which method did you use? If you used the OneClick method then try running the aRoot method as well.

Yeah, there have been issues quite a bit but it always seems someone is using a different launcher. Maybe there needs to be some updates to these launchers to run atop of Blur. Another I noticed is that when I download a 3rd party launcher it automatically uses that launcher as default and when i go into settings I can't remove the Default for it so that might have something to do with it. Have you also done a reboot lately? After a reboot I notice that my phone decides to check the "Stay Awake" option under Applications>Development by itself. So maybe there something to that as well.

I was doing reboots to reset the phone earlier but never noticed the stay awake option changing. When I used launcher pro first time it gave me the option to use as default launcher. I just checked the box and it stays launcher pro

Weird, it was doing it before I rooted and after. And I must have tried a dozen different launcher apps and not once has it asked me to change the default. Of course, I only had one installed at a time. Do you just have LP installed or do you have others?

I have others installed but I don't really mess with em. I only have em while experimenting with what launcher I wanted. But I dabble with em on occasion. But if you hit the home key and haven't picked a default it should give u the option to pick your launcher and just under the launchers is a box that says" set as default"

Yes, I'm aware of that but if you only had one 3rd party launcher installed it won't ask to set it to default. If you want you can uninstall all of your launchers til you're back to Blur and then just download one of them and then hit Home and it will automatically go to the new launcher.
You really don't have to but it does happen that way which tells me that Blur (and all the settings it holds prominence over) is easily manipulated by a different launcher. Have you noticed you can still use all the MotoBlur widgets even while using LP? Can't do that on an HTC Sense phone.

Know what? I had the same problem too. I deleted ADW launcher and then the Arc one worked. If you have ADW installed, uninstall it. If you aren't in those circumstances, then I have no idea

I don't know but don't waste your money by uninstalling it if you have bought it.
P.S. All the Arc launchers I've tried are SO laggy. Better stay with LP.

The Launcher should be the same. the difference is the pro has a hardware keyboard that when slid out acts as the trigger to flip landscape. The launcher has the functionality to show landscape, we've seen it with HDMI or on models with hardware keyboard and I've heard reports of people with livedock working (for me doing OTG keyboard/mouse it stays portrait).
I had just hoped he managed to hack it or something, but I'm skeptical until we get at least some proof of concept, even if it's buggy.
Show us a youtube video of phone going landscape without hdmi or post a buggy hack.

<Minor thread necromancy>
I found this thread whilst looking if anyone had hacked the stock Xperia ray launcher to support landscape mode and thought I'd report this
All you need is an app to force landscape, and the SE launcher will happily switch orientation. There are two on the market that both seem to work fine:
Orientation Control (Paid)
Ultimate Rotation Control (Free 7 day trial, then paid)
Not sure if there are any free apps that do the same, but I was happy to pay for the first one as it does the job.
I'll post some screengrabs in a minute
