Hello,
My A501 is Brike dint of hacking, he can not remember boot, the boot is damaged through the fault of a bad boot.img!
I tried to put an update.zip to SD but it does not work! message 'magic value mismatch', so I do not know anything.
No way to enter bootloader or recovery!
Is there a way to re-established in the boot and put the Kernel without good access to Recovery ?
It starts with the Acer logo but rest on this page with the message in red.
Is through the sav, or is there a quick fix ?
Thank you in advance if you have a solution...

This will do exactly what you need it to with everything included in the download.
Pictures included in the tutorial. Even though it says to recover from ICS leak, the procedure is the exact same.

Heya,
I tried to root the phone using the method above, and when i started recovery.bat, it all went well, but after it finished, my phone restarted and froze on first screen... I did removed the battery and turned the phone on, not in cwm mode, and it went well, i can use my phone and all that... When i tried to boot it in cwm again, it froze again... Anyone can help me?
If you get stuck in the android logo after it reboots by itself, you have to change the recovery image in the cwm folder.
download the recovery image from here https://www.mediafire.com/?z1rmgt9cc6hdjzb
remove the old recovery.img from the cwm folder and put this file instead. then rename it to recovery.img instaed of the long name it had before the .img. that sloved it for me. thanks to the person that posted here: http://www.modaco.com/topic/360389-recovery-clockworkmod-6049-for-zte-blade-iii/
Good Day!
plz reupload
I got exact same problem. gotta old a mini. super phone, sat nav, MP3 player, ran quake perfectly, decided for dinner reason to factory reset, now just endlessly bootloops. sure I had a custom recovery, but no idea if debugging enabled. would love to get this phone back
So this has happened at least half a dozen times since I got my device back from LG (Faulty screen replacement). I've managed to re-root the device and have confirmed that it is rooted.
However, when I try and reboot into the recovery it fails. I did manage to get a TWRP version working last week, however it wouldn't actually flash anything, so ended up using the LG flash tool to re-flash my phone several times to get it to work.
I can:
- Boot into download mode
- Boot the phone (it works fine)
I can not:
- Boot into recovery via any app/cmd/button pressing
I've tried to install various recoveries via:
- Install via TWRP app
- Install CWM via Clockwork mod
- Installed via a number of threads in the forums
Every time I attempt to reboot into recovery, I get the following:
Critical error!
--
Demigod crash handler : critical error!
press key to choose Dload mode or reboot
1) blah
2) blah
blah blah
--
Board info:
rev : 1.1 speed,pvs : 1.2 serial : blah
How do I fix this? In order to fix the recovery issue i'd need to use the Flash tool, and lose everything again I guess?
I'm using a stock d80230b, photo of the error attached. - I have never seen this before..
I have the same problem. I now can't install Amy recovery and flash any zip.
i have the same issue

Same problem after putting back stock and root
You mentioned that you can use download mode. If you can flash BACK TO STOCK USING LG FLASH TOOLS and if that is successful post back here.

Flash back to stock kitkat. You are on a D802 right? if so I think I can make an autorec with a recovery of your choice for your phone.
Tried autorec ?
also for you intending to modify it, I will add more protections or simply remove all the stuff from playstore and other hosts. I don't have time to babysit.
Use the LG Flash tool, probably the easiest way to get your phone back to normal.

I'm sorry I do not understand what you mean.
That I'll update twrp version which autorec installs and host the apk's somewhere else but not on playstore any more.
Does anyone know if the OP solved the problem and if so was it Autorec or something else? I have the same issue on my LS980 and would love to work through the solutions easiest to most frustrating in that order. Phone works just fine in every respect except recovery so I'm looking for a way to solve it without buggering it completely.
And thank you for AutoRec whether it can work this problem or not...it and tools like it make everyone's life SO much easier!

Autorec did the trick for me. Tried it with the TWRP Manager, but that didn't work. So, when facing this problem, download and install the Autorec APK (Google is your friend). After that, use it to get TWRP running.
Just posted this to verify the solution. Thanks a lot @bender_007.

Ok, i did follow the steps and it still doesnt boot! What should i try next?
If you installed an update zip it probably wants the stock recovery which you can get in the development thread on this forum. Flash that through fastboot then throw a folder named dload with an update.app in it on your sd card. Phone off hold power vol up and vol down until it brings you to a circle with emui inside. Should run fine after that. If not use the stock recovery to factory reset.
The reason your phone won't boot is because out never encrypted itself.for some reason that means life or death to mate 8 firmware

when you start the flash.all.bat and you see the unbrick message your phone should be busy and install the above official firmware and recovery. If not run it again disconnect your phone and connect it again when the unbrick message shows. To me worked fine. You must have your phone in fastboot off course
