Android 3.2 without TouchWiz - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

Is there anyway possible to get Android 3.2 support w/o Touchwiz on the Galaxy Tab 10.1?
Reason I ask is because I read somewhere to use the USB Host adapter and the Bluetooth keyboard I need Android 3.2 right?
I installed 3.2 once but I am not a fan of the toyish looking UI. I prefer the stock Android look as how it was in 3.1.
Thanks

Best bet is to root the Tab 10.1 and install a custom ROM. Otherwise your stuck with Touchwiz UX.
There are methods in the Development section or at www.galaxytabhacks.com

There is NO 3.2 for our tab. You installed an imaginary rom.

I think that the OP thought that Touchwiz was 3.2. Either that, or his unicorn installed 3.2.

Oh so TouchWiz is 3.1 still???

No these are two separate things
3.1 is the Android version by Google. Touchwiz is something Samsung created. You can have 3.1 and not have touchwiz

[$145][Bounty to Port] Samsung Galaxy 10.1 w/ TouchWiz

http://www.r2doesinc.bitsurge.net/omftab-1.zip
Figured I'd make the I formation a little more available as this was buried in a thread.
A bootable Asus Transformer port of the latest Galaxy 10.1 rom with touchwiz. Needs some TLC. Currently has no working wifi or rotation sensors.
Lets get this cooking. I am no dev, only looking to make this public here on xda. The current dev is done with it and too busy to continue. Any other devs able to whip something up with this?
Problems:
Constant Battery Temp Warning every few minutes
Wifi does not work (can work by using Rom 1.0.2 + #16 kernel)
GSensor does not work (rotation widget helps)
Camera does not work
No Graceful shutdown (long press power to turn off)
List of Donators to make this happen
Player911 - $20
haensgn - $10
Anonymous - $100
Husher - $15

How to Flash
You'll need to download both, the Galaxy Rom port and a Transformer Kernel, to a microSD card. You'll have to flash via ClockWorkMod Recovery.
Working WiFi works using Galaxy Rom 1.0.2 + Version 16 of Clemsyn's Kernel.
Galaxy Rom Port:
Galaxy Rom 1.0.4
Galaxy Rom 1.0.2 (Required for working WiFi)
Kernels:
Clemsyn Version 17 (didn't enable WiFi for me)
OR
Clemsyn Version 16 (Required for working WiFi)
Instructions
Throw the rom and kernel to the microSD card and boot into Clockworkmod Recovery (Start with TF off. Hold Vol-Down and Power. Then Vol-Up at Logo)
Perform a Nandroid Backup
Factory Reset
Flash zip from SD > Select Galaxy Rom
Flash zip from SD > Kernel
Reboot.
Enjoy.
Donate to Clemsyn for his Kernels

Is someone working on the wifi issue? I mean has someone taken to the challenge
Once the port is successful, will it include the video drivers/codecs that the samsung galaxy 10.1 tab has?

Build q is not to good, but i guess with a case i don't need to see it.
The 3.1 android is way to slow.
Lets see what can be done.

Yeah we are in some desperate need of some real ROMs! The Dev'n has slowed down a lot
Hopefully Doc you can work some real magic. You're right Ive noticed 3.1 seems slow. I know I know nobody wants to hear it, but lately my iPad 2 is looking better and better. I dunno nobod has nailed it yet, but I hear the new Toshiba Tablet might just be the one. Honeycomb needs some real help
better than 3.1?

Is it the Virtuous galaxy rom in Acer Iconia Xda thread you mean? And is that fully functional, with auto rotation and so on working?

Possible to get file uploaded.

Hey everyone I'm looking to see if I can get a couple of people running none acer based roms to upload the gpsconfig.xml file that is located in /system/etc/gps. I'm looking to see if there is a variation between the acer rom and transformer, galaxy based roms.
Here are two of the files you requested. One is from a stock 3.1 Rom, and the other from a stock 3.2 Rom (labeled accordingly).

Awesome thank you for those I will have a look at these, but I am mainly looking for ones that are not Acer. Mainly galaxy and transformer. I'm trying to find why other roms other than Acer have better GPS. Thank you.

Advantage of running official ICS over Team EOS nightly?

Hey all, I'm running the Team EOS nightly and was wondering if there is any advantage to restoring to stock honeycomb for the official ICS update?
Should I just wait until a rooted ICS version based on the official is released?
It was released already, it's at the top of the development forum...flash with CWM, it's already rooted. From what I understand, it's probably faster for 3D gaming...could be wrong though.
Are there any issues with the official ics? I would do a search but it seems the search function is missing for some strange reason.

I can't think of a single one. I just flashed nightly 26 from 23, booting it now. Loving the EOS builds!
For a while none of the gameloft games were working on EOS.
Could have been fixed by now.

It is, I've got Uno and MC3 on mine and they are working fine.
I decided to load up the official rooted release and so far it's pretty much the same as Team EOS's build. Team EOS does seem to be a bit snappier, and I do miss the reboot options on Team EOS build. The only improvement I see with the official is the camera, that seems to be snappier and more responsive on the official.
Only issue existing on both version is the Revision3 app that just won't load.

I've been running rooted ICS stock for several days now ... installed the leaked RC, then rooted.
Your question about EOS vs. stock gets the standard answer from me - are you happy with EOS and want more features in the future? If so, then stay with EOS.
For me, I'll stay with stock rooted - I just want a tablet that works and not interested in tweaks. I'll spend my tweaking time on my Photon.
There is no objectively right or wrong answer to your question, and nobody else can answer it for you. Enjoy!
Good thread. I was curious as well because knowing verizon (any carrier really) i doubt I'll see ICS anytime jan or feb and i konda want it now...
Pronlem is i dkdnt really want to root my xoom, but i guess ill have to now.
Ill wait until monday maybe

Actually you don't have to root your Xoom if you just want ICS. I believe there is a stock ICS rom out there too. You will have to unlock the bootloader though.
From my perspective if you are running a rooted stock version of ICS there is virtually not a single reason. Stock isn't overclocked, a lot of enhancements are missing etc. But if you run a completely stock ICS with no root there are some advantages. For example, if you run a non-rooted stock you can rent videos from Google. I can't really think of anything else haha. Go EOS, their ROM is sick.

What benefit does the eos have? No need for OC for me. I actually use the xoom alot during the day and will only jse up mlre battery.
I don't rent videos either so i don't care about that
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
There are a ton of advantages to EOS ROM over Stock. The major one is the micro SD card is read/writable, all voice-to-text features are working as is facelock, the micro USB port is actually useful now, the EOS quick settings are very nice and they all work! There are several battery options from EOS settings and you can make the notification pull look any way you like.
Even if you don't use the performance features this ROM is the only way to Xoom. Until CM9 or Rogue get one out for the 4G

Stock TouchWiz 4.0

Looking for a ROM that has completely stock TouchWiz 4.0, with everything working. Basically just the exact same as the GSII Firmware ported to the Galaxy S. Is there such ROM?

It isn't perfect and still in pre alpha development stage. As the s2 official firmware has been released, it will be better.

No rom port will work "exactly the same". There will be a few bugs even in stable roms.

I saw a .zip file you can install that add's touchwiz 4.0 when rooted, would that be better?
Is that also really the only ROM?
If you look for a ROM with TouchWiz4
so I suggest DarkyRom 10.2
