What speed is the 2GB stock MicroSD card the HD2 ships with? (Just to know)
IS Class 2 fast enough? I have a 16GB class two that I'd like to use, but not at the expense of performance on the phone, or problems, etc.
Anyone?
Class II is enough for a phone. Dunno the speed of the inserted one - guess it is class II. I'm using a class II 16GB mSDHC from Toshiba since more than a year and I never faced any problems.
Here I have done two micro SD benchmark using sandisk microSD reader:
SanDisk microSDHC 2GB Classe 2
SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDHC 8GB Classe 4
The Ultra version has twice the speed of the stock one.
Yeah, that may be right and it could be faster when you copy some files to your phone or pull it down of it. But nevertheless the phone does not need more then class II, because it won't be able to exhaust it.
Even when recording video?
Has anyone tried one of the newer Panasonic Class 10 cards? I have a 16gb class 6 card in the phone that is wicked fast but I'm always up for new game if the extra speed is noticeable enough.

I begin to run out of space and in need of new SD card. What kind of SD card should i use? Van i use sandisk 16GB SDHC class 4. What does the class means?
sent from my Nook Color
Class 4 means the sequential read/write speed is about 5 megabytes per second. This is not necessarily what you want as its the random read/write that dictates most performance, and that doesn't seem to correlate much with the Class from the benchmarks others have done.
Would like to point out that for NC you need a microSDHC card, not just a SDHC card.
From all the data collected so far, 16GB class 4 SanDisk microSDHC card (used as system ROM) seems to be good for NC.

So amazon has a good sale right now on Micro SD cards.
Lexar 32GB Class 10 microSDHC 45MB/s for $12.99
Lexar 32GB Class 10 microSDHC 95MB/s for $24.99
I think that the 45MB/s should be sufficient for everyday use. Would the 95MB/s one have any benefit for the Z3 Compact?
The 45mb/s card is enough, you really won't see faster speeds since smartphones don't run their sdcards at maximum voltage for obvious reasons, you'll only see those speeds on pc's.
