heeeeeeelp, after custom kernel!!

Hi! I put jerplea custom kernel into CM 6.1.3 via xrecovery, when i reboot the system doesn't work! i try to enter in xrecovery but it doesn't work!! how can i repair my x10??

Hook up the phone to the pc to the sonu ericsson software called seus. Hit the repair option.
If that doesnt work, try flashtool which is a pc program too which is in the x10 android development section. There r howto guides in there if u dont know how to use it. Flash the firmware with the baseband u want for the compatible ROMS want to run on the phone.
After thay u have to reroot the phone. Sorry about this but u gotta start over.

I'm going to copy and paste this reply to everyone who messes up their phone with a custom kernel. We are going to get LOTS of these kind of threads soon...

There are already a lot of ppl complaining that they "broke" their phone and dont know the reason, because they are to "lazy" to read the OP for installing custum ROMS and kernals.

Agreed, reflash with SEUS, I had to do that twice, when I was noob.

ok fires you must be to back to the original software 2.1
step 1
download Sony Ericsson updater
after download set up in your pc
step 2
connect the usb cable in your pc
step 3
open the sony ericsson softwer update and choos x10 phone and next
step 4
now turn off your phone
step 5
connect you phone and Click on the button right
now turn on your phone
You will notice that the computer knows the phone a new way
After the piece
You will notice that the program moved to the next step and descends Software
This step will take approximately 10 minutes

i am not trying to be a smartass here, but ppl should really read OP more carefull. you cant go wrong if you backup everything in xrecovery before aplying new update or rom. i tried several of the new custom roms and they worked all. just stick to instructions and everything will be fine

Help...

I was flashing BB .49 and then it comes to a point where it tells me to disconnect the phone and turn it on and enable USB DEBUGGING...
I disconnect it and attempt to turn it on but it won't turn on...
All it does is blinks vibrate and flashes a green led and just won't turn on.

Re-flash to stock.

Edit: It does not appear when I connect to USB

Reflash using SEUS "sony ericsson update service" for now.
Then if that does not work and Xrecovery is botched.
Send it back to SE.

I don't have warranty...

Please Help...I really love this phone.

No offence, but screw the flash tool...I repaired using SEUS took a few tries but managed to work again.
The reason why the phone messed up was because I was trying to flash a BB without resetting and clearing those stuff using xrecovery.

By resetting and clearing those stuff I suppose u mean factory reset n all......I don't think we're supposed to do any of those stuff,I flash the baseband straight away n then flash the ROM I wish to use,n i've not screwed even once!
Even nothing like that is mentioned in flash tool guide.I think ur x10 got screwed for some other reason.

SEUS doesnt always work... it wouldnt work for me so i had to use flashtools

[Q] can't use custom roms

I've just installed elelinux, everything looked good, but when i restarted my phone i got this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAZzZaYc97E
From then i can't use my phone, i have to go back to 2.1 with flash tool to start over.
Before i had the same problem with miniCM and with floyo. Why is that happening? Someone help me PLS.

First, try factory reset in xrecovery.
And if u cant access recovery try push twice power off button, when se logo appears

Because that causes your problems.
Never update Busybox!!!
If you update it, you will brick your phone

aha. another victim of busybox update. don't update busybox, because xRecovery only works with previous busybox.

X8 stuck at sony ericsson logo, please help

I've been running XGin 4 on my X8 for some time now with no issue at all and I recently decided I'd like a change so I had a look on the cyanogenmod website to get cm7.1 as referred by friend. I tried following one or two guides on how to install it and failed every time. I gave up and left it a few days. I turned my phone off last night for the first time since and now it can't get past the Sony Ericsson logo screen. I can't boot into xRecovery or anything so I've no idea what to do. I know most of you in here can probably help me and it would be greatly appreciated.
P.s. If it wasn't the attempted installs that killed my phone, it could have been a busybox updater that I downloaded from the market?

You can use seus or pcc if you can go into flash mode. In seus click repair and follow the steps.

Wassup bro
unfortunately, that your lovely x8 now is on soft-brick condition,,
no worry bro only the small matter..what do you have to do now is,,
1 = get a flash-tool, you have to flash back your x8 to stock rom,,
flashtool -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=986697
then you have to find out the shakira stock rom ftf file to flash back using flashtool
2 = SEUS, you try it before?? so easy,, let SEUS repair your x8 problem
after you finish all the step above,, the you have to root back your x8..
your x8 still on stock kernel?? unlock your bootloader??

You have to do full wipe. What Recovery you are using?

Hi. Boot into recovery and then do a full swipe and then try to flash the ROM.

Don't re root you only have to root once.

Don't try to root it again !!! Only one!! You will brick ur phone. As I can see you have to flash the stock RUU again and then flash a custom ROM.

Yeah, I see. He did not know what he was doing. In that case he must flash it using fastboot w/ command prompt over windows. I dont know if its s-on or s-off, he might take another path which is more advanced.
