I downloaded USB driver provided by ACER, and when it installed there were said that 3g something is installed. And in Control panel it is shown as Acer Iconia 3g Install. Could it be driver for 3g dongle or what?

Why not use a Mifi or a Huawei E5830?
Or if you have already an Android 2.2 Phone, use Wifi Tethering?
Hello
My experience :
First : same problem : my tablet don't want to connect with my HD2 (Rom WM NRGZ), while my laptop can do.
But today I show my Iconia 500 to my work, and a friend with her HTC Desire HD with Android custom ROM and wifi tethering connect it without problem...
But it's not a USB modem it's wifi tethering (I'm probably off topic ?)

Hi
I've the same combination (iconia-hd2 wm) and wrestled quite a while to tether in windows mobile. Tried numerous wpa-supplicants and tetherprogs but none worked. The solution.......change your HD2 from windows to Android. I've CyanogenMod Android 2.2. (search in HD2 forum) I can dual boot but so satisfied with Android that i keep it running continuous. Tethering the Iconia.........just start "wireless tethering" in Android, connect and ready.

Thanks, that worked for me.
I have a ZTE 3G USB.
Also tried tethering with a Galaxy S, also that works.
Just follow the steps from the post, and it should work.

I don't think it will work with USB..at least I didn't find a way to do this with my PC
Not to be completely annoying, but the [DEV] thread is for someone who knows their way around. If anyone could post a dummy's step-by-step it would be a huge help for noobie android enthusiasts.

Checking out the K1 and the interface and custom apps look really nice. I would certainly donate to a dev porting that rom to the Iconia.

Not yet, I don't think it releases/ships until the 28th. After that, I'm sure we can get one

I have a Lenovo Tablet K1 in my hands now. Actually, not very impressed with it; still prefer my Acer a500. Anyway, don't know how to do a system dump. Can someone point me in the direction of how to do a system dump, and I will give it a shot.

With mdj about anything is and will be possible
Sent from my GT-P7500 using XDA Premium App
Is there any dev working on this rom?
We tried to make a system dump, but had issue with ADB drivers on Win7.
I had to go when manipulating, and since had no news from OaT.

I got on IRC several times, but bad timing as no one responded to my requests for trying to dump the system. I returned the Lenovo K1 last night.
For those in the U.S. who want to get/try one of these for cheap, I got mine using the Staples coupon at Office Depot for $399 + taxes. Even at that price I liked my A500 better for several reasons including the lack of ports and the positioning of the 30 (?) pin connector. In addition, Netflix was not installed on it and could not be downloaded from the Android or Lenovo market. That was the primary reason I wanted to give this tablet a try.
Lenovo Rom
Will the Lenovo rom be ported to the Iconia?
ideapad k1
I have the ideapad k1 and I am willing to test and do whatever to help get development started on it. Just let me know. I unboxed for th3volution.blogspot.com and will be reviewing it this week as well.

here you are the driver that I google out ..
source : http://www.samsung-tablets.com/lenovo-ideapad-k1-tablet-driver.html/
haven't try out. just brought K1 today
this is K1 ROM DOWNLOAD link
u.115.com/file/clsdu7e7#
PQXU200.2H.0013.W.CN.0729.zip
Include adb-lenovo.exe & nvflash.exe
sorry my poor english
P.S 115 login ID:[email protected]
PW:xp20110811
联通下载 & 电信下载 also can be download
How to flash the zip files from OTA downloads with the files in the downloaded PQXU200.2H.0013.W.CN.0729.zip?
What files do you need from the system dump?
these are the OTA files. download.lenovo.com/slates/k1/OTA/
As for the PQXU200.2H.0013.W.CN.0729.zip you will have issues, as that is in Chinese. You will need to switch the files with the latest 829 files from above for it to work.
It's nice to know someone here is trying

The hardware on the tablet is not compatible. That is why Acer sells two tablets one for windows and one for android.
