Official MIUI port to release today

Just thought people would want to know. Just saw this on facebook posted about 20 minutes ago
"MIUI ROM
Great news! 86% of MIUI beta testers said yes, so MIUI 1.10.28 for sgs2 will be releasd this afternoon! Pls share it with your friedns! ^_^"

yes saurav, miui is based on CM, no samsung stuff. Lets see if they have fixed anything additional in the official build

MIUI is not based on CM. They're both built from AOSP.

I've never seen anything anywhere to suggest that MIUI is built upon CM. AFAIK they're both AOSP.

Afaik, MIUI is based on CM
And all this "to be released today, because facebook voted so" seems unprofessional. I've never tried MIUI, but the team seems too childish.

Well, actually it's because the beta testers voted so, and they just announced that on facebook, not "because facebook voted so"

BUT THEN.

So... Perhaps there are some dependencies but are different animals.

MIUI is based on AOSP.
Yes, it use CM device specific code, but it is AOSP.

well considering miui is based 100% off of cyanogen, they couldn't do an official miui rom without a stable official cm rom as the base

BTW, new MIUI now is based on ICS! Cant wait for a port!

One fan version miui Galen supposedly is, though that's being questioned since no difference is seen at all.
Until cm9 is released, official miui will not be based on ics..
I'll say it again, official miui is based completely off of official cm.
No official cm, no official miui

Why not try to develop an existing rom to become the official rom

Although having an official miui rom is bennificial. I dont think oodies rom and other miui ports aren't that bad. Its runs quite smooths. I have tried several rom and I loved the light version which was released recently.
All the miui roms are cool , great user experience. Although I miss the stock camera. Having a 8.1Mp cam and not being able to get 100% out of it is invain. Although its arguable.

Why Op2 Not getting Official cyanogenmod

Guys today i have a serious doubt.Why Oneplus Two not getting Offcial cyanogenmod nightlies support.
its being 5 months i guess,
Yuphoria got official nightlies in just 1 month. Why only with Oneplustwo like this

I think because of disputes between cyanogen and oneplus.

Yophoria got official cm support in 1 month because it run CMOS is stock firmware for it. So they already have a build to go at

even yureka for Cyanogen device.it got cyanogenMod after 4 months.
anyway i got info about the issue.
actually for offcial support. first the device tree must be stable. for use no fingerprint or laserfocus. offcial nightlies will come only if they are fix by a dev . Just pray it happens soon.then only custom rom flow will start

Bro both of them almost the same cyanogenmodos is unrooted default rom. And cyanogenmod nightlies is lil. Buggy but not stable. 3rd party rom for devices

That's probably Oneplus 2 doesn't have an official device maintainer in the Cyanogenmod division.

The way official CM works is by getting a solid unofficial release with a device/vendor tree, then somebody offers to maintain an official branch.
Complaining about it without contributing anything isn't going to help. Why don't you offer to do all the work and maintain the OP2 for CM?

Sorry but it isn't fully working yet mate. The video didn't even mention where they got the rom from other than stating that it was "cyanogenmod or something", so we assume it's CM13. CM13 thread link is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/rom-cyanogenmod-13-t3223808
It is still in alpha stage so it is by no means near a stable rom since a features are still not working such as mobile network and etc.

bro he defenetly said that this is aosp which he is using in 1:18 and also in the decription he said thi is aosp

Its clearely mentioned in title as "Galaxy S2 Plus Android 6.0 Marshmallow" . He also has the gave the source of the project which says its S2 Plus - i9105
